[Resolved] Indigo Airlines — baggage mishandling | |
It was monday morning of oct 3rd, 2018 when i was travelling from goa to hyderabad, flight 6e259 - booking reference: xl7l5u. When my bag came out of conveyor belt it was fully torn to the point that it can't be used further. It looked like the bag was dragged on some sharp or uneven surface. After collecting my bag i directly went to complaint counter to register a complaint and the lady over there took some photos of damaged bag and assured me that i will receive a call within 24 hrs. Next day i received a call from one of the executive who offered to give rs 500 indigo voucher for the damage caused, to which i denied as my bag's price was around inr 5000 then the lady started negotiating for inr 1000 voucher which can only be availed in my name that too within 6 months from the issue, to which i denied again. I mean what kind of compensation is this. All i am asking for is a fair compensation. By the way this all happened despite of my bag being marked as fragile.
