My mother, Mrs. Piyali Basu Kar flew this morning from Kolkata to Coimbatore with layover in Chennai on flights:
She was shocked to receive a violently mishandled, thoroughly damaged suitcase on arrival in Coimbatore.
She even contacted the airlines customer care on the phone. Their response was unprofessional in its blatant denial of any responsibility on the part of the airlines. It is a serious matter because as frequent flyers we place a lot of trust on the airlines with safety and security of our belongings as much as our safety.
The damaged suitcase is a Carlton Maroon suitcase. The pictures of the damaged luggage is attached for your reference.
I hope the Airlines owns up to their mishandling of the baggage and does right by the customer is issuing adequate compensation for their error.
