[Resolved]  Indigo Airlines — double booking and receiving no information

We travelled to varanasi from kolkata on october 25, 2018 by 6e 713 and from varanasi to kolkata by 6e 716 on 28th october 2018. Pnr al2wme.

While purchasing on-line my first attempt failed at 7:46 pm using my bank of india account. (Transaction ruled out).

I made a second attempt, and this time, i was successful. Payment amount inr 16, 692/- and this ticket had the pnr no. Al2wme.

I got no ticket, no msg from bank or indigo about my first attempt and took it as an invalid attempt.

However, today[protected] i got a call from indigo at 15:08 hrs saying that i had a double booking and got an sms that i had an additional pnr no. Lhy7ud, that i needed to cancel. I received no email regarding this booking, neither did receive any sms. On my onward journey, i was not even informed by indigo about this double booking and i purchased return tickets for myself (Arunava chakrabarti) and my wife (Ballari chakrabarti).

Finally, at varanasi, i verified and called the call center who finally cancelled my ticket bearing pnr lhy7ud. However, as the cancellation took place the penalty was heavy, and i am told that i will be getting back around 4000.00 only.

I request you to look into the matter. Please resend me any e-mail or sms that you sent for lhy7ud.

Finally, i request you to consider a refund of an appreciable amount out of rs.16, 692.00, as i had been completely unaware of the purchase of the lhy7ud ticket. Indigo sms was not received by me at any point of time.

My new suitcase is badly torn from the back and it is beyond repair as you can see in the picture. I have also attached the purchase order with model details. I need refund or replacement for this. Don’t want to make a public outcry if the matter can be settled amicably
