[Resolved]  Indigo Airlines — Not refunding the extra baggage money which I didnt take

I had booked 3 flight ticket from Banglore to Bhubaneswar for 29th May .I was travelling with my 2 kids My PNR No is :MPWL8M

While booking the flight, because of the misleading information on the site which said 1 extra baggage costs rs.900, (It never mentioned about empty bag ) I thought of booking it . Infact before booking it I even called the Indigo call center to clarify my doubt if extra baggage will include or exclude the 15 KGs. I was told that it includes 15 KG of weight. The call records may be checked . I booked 3 tickets with 1 extra baggage of Rs900 . On the travelling day I took one extra bag of 15 KG. During check in, I was told to pay around Rs 8500 (15 * 580 or 550 I don't remember the exact amount ) for that bag . So I gave back the bag to my brother who came to drop us off. I travelled with normal 3 luggage (Me and my 2 kids).

After my travel I called the call center to ask for the refund of Rs900 . I was assured that it will be done in a week which I never got back .Today when I called the finance dept of Indigo, they said it is not possible as the airport authorities have not updated anything about not using the extra baggage .

In the first place the customer care provided me wrong information on the first day .I was travelling with 2 kids and with wrong information I unnecessarily had to take the pain of going out of the que, returning the bag, again coming back to the line . Second thing is It should be the responsibility of the airport authority to update the things .

Mostly I see this as the mistake from the customer care which I paid for.
Hence I want the extra baggage money to be refunded .

Indigo MILKS it customer at every opportunity it can. After my first experience, I never ever make mistake o[censored]sing Ingigo. That's how they learn to care for customers, compliants are part of their business, they care less when customer complain and keep coming
Yes. It was addressed by the finance department, and I also mentioned that in my complaint. And I am not satisfied with that. It's not about the Rs.900.It must be happening with many people.

Recently my friend traveled on Akash Airlines. They were generous and gentle enough to help her with her extra baggage without her paying a single extra penny. Whereas the INDIGO ground employees were of no help.

With 2 kids traveling with me, I had to be vigilant about them. It is the responsibility of airport employees to update about the nonuse of Extra baggage. Indigo must be having a record of the number of bags carried by passengers. You can check them.

Therefore I would request you refund my money.
