This is with reference to my travel dated[protected] from Mumbai to Chennai on flight 6E-549 at 1955 hours. I did a web check in for the flight and printed my boarding passes from the airport kiosk. Following which I sat in the boarding lounge and waited for the boarding to start at Gate no. 9. The boarding time printed on the pass was 19:20 and it was this time when my friend travelling with me went to the staff and checked about the boarding time to which the staff replied that it is yet to start. We waited for 15 minutes but the boarding still didn't start. As I was very hungry I went on to grab something and after a while the boarding started. I was waiting for the cue to end to get in the line and with an eye on the display board. When the cue ended I went on to the staff showing our boarding passes to which I was informed that the boarding has been closed (all this while Chennai was still on display) The staff did not even bother to give a call for the Chennai passengers even when we inquired the staff about the boarding on scheduled time of 19:20 hrs.
Ultimately I was not allowed to board the flight which I believe was completely due to staff negligence. There were 163 passengers on this flight out of 161 checked in (including 2 o[censored]s) and we are sitting just in front of them even inquired about the boarding on time at 1920 hours but were informed that there has been a delay without an ETA.
Although Mumbai is a silent airport but all the airlines including yours give a shout of the final boarding call, but the staff on duty that day didn't bother to make that announcement. I have the clippings to prove that.
The same I had to reach Chennai and hence had to book tickets in a short notice which costed me Rs11000/- plus a lot mental trauma..
I request you to look into the matter and take appropriate action immediately.
