i have sent the application for admission for semesters which is starting from janvary 2009 but i have not at received the acknowledgement letter i am confussed wheather my application is reached the reginol center or not

This is not only in kolkata this is the case with many IGNOU centres, I applied for B.Tech in Civil & after 6 months are over still i have not got my study material, my student card, acknowledgement for 10, 000 fee i have paid, all because they are sending these things with an ordinary post, when i enquired with the IGNOU they told the postal department must have missplaced the them...& when i enquired the Postal department they are saying they dont have any record of the these things because IGNOU is sending everything by ordinary post...which is rediculaous after paying so much fee they such a some courtesy to send the Id card by registered post...
Its not over yet when i again enquired with the IGNOU about the missplacement of the IDcard by the postal their reply was like " we cant do anything if you have not recived the matrials, there is nothing we can do about it...because we have already sent it...

Also I am J Paul from Barasat, N 24 Parganas, trying to contact to IGNOU Regional Centre-Bikash Bhaban (Tel no.[protected],[protected] from 10 AM To 6 PM continiously but for a single time I could not reach to this number, All time (and offcourse all seconds of whole day time) the number is busy, Is it Possible? I am sure Staffs of the office make the Phone busy manualy for getting relaxation or use the Phone for their personal purpose.

So, I beg attention of the high authority of IGNOU to take immediate and strong action.

All this complains are absolute correct.

I have tried to call Bikash Bhavan several times, never have I got anyone to pick up. I have gone there and seen that the phone rings and they dont pick up...they are rude to the point of no-return, always make parchis and wait in queue each time while the babus enjoy umpteen number of lunches or just roam about from one room to another, while students wait for hours, doesn't matter if one has come from far or has to catch a train...its not there business...if one has to go to Bikash Bhavan its a whole day picnic ...they dont realise one thing, that they have been hired by OUR government, paid with OUR money so they are not obliging us at all by talking to us, they are there to serve us...btw, Santanu Mukherjee was helpful to me. Incredible India!

They r very outrightly right.I have done my graduation from Ignou with lots of penury.Nobody in the counter in kol regional centre or study centre are aware of classes.Even once they lost bunch of assignments, and later managed to pass all the candidates.Few people r good who acknowledge that there r big loopholes in overall admin., co-ordination.none includins co-ordinator of our study centre bothered to give classes for whole two years of three years of graduation, leaving frst year.Reason they cited that we have not recevd intimation of name professors (at midst of session)who will take classes.can u believe that for the same project class(practical) those too efficient bunch of jokers had alloted one madam and sir at the same time .When pointed they r vey casual in their approach.(Ki kobo amara, ora na bolle amara ki korbo.Ekhaneo ora -amara)We r students after all.We have faith in constituonal democracy.But why making this mockery of happles students.Yes, I pointed this to duty clerks at my study centre then n there showing them that it was written on the display board that both are alloted classes for the same project.And even they were told telephonically to come n attend their classes.I can recollect every incident of such type of callousness more vividly till now.Lastly personally i gave call to madam(sory i cant disclose the name of my GURU) who was just new in this domain of clowns that this had happened.However after few brain storming sessions wth co-ordinators and respected others, she felt uttterly hopeless, and feeling the grave we werw heading too, she came personally and sat "OUTSIDE THE COLLEGE CAMPUS LITERALLY ON THE ROAD, NO NOT IN THE COLLEGE CAMPUS, BECAUSE COLLEGE WAS BUSY FOR ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS AND SIGNED OUR PROJECT WORK FOR ATLEAST 12 STUDENTS present there..I AM ONE OF THEM who were lucky .the tragedy is that she was so shell-shocked that she left after few days for higher study for new delhi.FOR MY WHOLE LIFE I AM INDEBITED TO MADAM TO BE HUMANE AND EMPATHESISE THE TRAGEDY WE MIGHT FACE IF SHE DIDNT GO THRU THE PROJECT AND SIGNED THEM FOR SENDING THEM TO DELHI. Only two days were left to send the final project and i am more than 100% sure if someone asks the authority that who, how, where and by whose authority she had signed them, none in our reg centre, study centre, even half of our fellow students, that by gratitude she had come from far away place as she resides some other place too far away from our study centre, stayed in her relative house, saved our carreer and whow that 's her last day wth us. BELIEVE ME EXCEPT PROVISIONAL CERTIFICATE AFTER CLEARING GRAD., TWO SEMESTER BOOKS THAT TOO AFTER 4 MNTHS AFTER STARTING UP YHE SEESSION HAVE COME. I had to pay for my id card tho i had not recevd wthin 36 mnths of my course...lots can be said.These r due to lacklustre attitude of admin, nepotism, laid back attitude.Its a whole mess in 28 AND 2814. I can challenge anybody from these two places if needed.Yes, i do agrree there r few who r true to their profession, show concern for the students.too name a few one I truly admire is MR.D. MAHAPATRA .Assist.P.A.to REG DIR.In bengali there is saying "Gobore Padmaful"If he is not there i may be able to climb Eversest, but never
able to cross this hurdle of graduation.Still i would say dont loss hope.Be perseverant, disciplined, systematic, adaptable, success will be urs.AND NOTHING SUCCEDS LIKE SUCCESS.thank u.

AT HOME I CHECKED THE STUDIES MATERIAL I FOUND THERE ARE ONLY 15 COURSE BOOKS AND ONE PROGRAM ME BOOK. I FINALLY CHECKED ONE BY ONE, I FOUND THAT THE BOOKS OF COURSE MVPI0019ON FOOD MICROBIOLOGY INTERETED( 2+2) AND COURSE NO MVP002 THEORY(4+0)OF FOOD LAWS AND STANDARD HAVE BEEN MISSING MEANT THAT ALL BOOKLETS OF CONCERNED COURSES HAVE NOT BEEN SUPPLIED NOR ANY CHECK LIST WAS GIVEN ALONG WITH.ADMIT CARD WAS ALSO NOT SUPPLIED WITH. ON EXAMINING THE SCHEDULE SUPPLIED I FOND THAT ONLY 7 CLASSES OF THEORY ARE TO CONDUCTED. NEXT CLASSE ARE TO BE ON 30/12/2011 THAT IT SEEMS TO BE TOO LONG

I, Chandrakala Subba, bearing Enrolment No.[protected] registered under B.ED Programme of IGNOU, at 24 Regional Centre, Gangtok, would like to draw your kind attention about the fact :

( I ) That, I appeared in the Term End Exams on ES - 344 and ES - 334 from 2401 Exams Centre, under Gangtok Regional Centre, on 15th of Dec 2005 and 19th of Dec 2005 respectively.

( II ) That, I wrote the exams on the above mentioned papers on being permitted by the Regional Centre by being issued the Admit Card ( Term End Examination Intimation Slip, December 2005 ). Where in, I was permitted to appear in the examination as a Stray Candidate,

(III) That, in the issued Admit Card my Enrolment No. had been reflected as[protected] which was apparently similar to my actual Enrol No.[protected]. This error could be figured out just recently.

(IV) That I have otherwise cleared / successfully completed all the papers / courses ( both Term End Exams & TMAs ).

(V) It is pertinent to inform you that my actual Enrolment No. is[protected] but I have innocently reflected the Enrolment No, mentioned in the Admit card, in all the answer scripts and correspondences that I made for the partial fulfillment of the Examination on the above mentioned courses.

(VI) It is very sad to inform you that, till date I have not received my results on the above two courses and also the cumulative B.ED Examination result till date, Inspite of my several requests through the Regional Centre, my Result Status is still "NOT COMPLETED" This has caused a state of discouragement and agony.

(VII) B.ED being a professional degree, I am urgently in need of the same for my further carrier advancement.


Therefore, it is my earnest request to your kind office to kindly look into the matter along with rectification if any, and my result on B.ED Exams may be declared at the earliest please.

Hi, I have registered for MA Education from Jeddah, KSA. Unfortunately, even after the declaration of 2nd year results, the first year assignment marks have not been posted on the web-site! In spite of chargning exhorbitant fees from international students for everything, there is no service offered to the students, apart from the fact that they can study at their own and write down the exams, with no right to ask about the delcaration of results. I have given for re-evaluation of a paper, and here we have to spend around Rs.6, 000.00 to get one -paper re-evaluated! then, what about the results? No idea!

my experience tell that the processure is to study from model paper after preparing books because i got 55 marks in this subject after preparing the model paper.

I have applied for OPEN MAT twice but was not able to sit for the exam

The first application was not having clear gazetted stamp so my form was rejected with my DD of Rs 550/- too.

With my second application a horrible thing happened.I was lucky to get my hall ticket for the OPEN mat for last Sunday, 17th Aug'08.When i reached my center at dhaulakuan(center code-07) the college was closed coz of sunday and the gate keeper informed me dt IGNOU is closed here since last june.I was helpless.I tried calling maidangardi but no one picked up the call.This time also i have lost my money with lots of frustation.

I have dowloaded the form from the web abd attached Rs 550 DD along with that.IGNOU has not sent/posted me any prospectus not even the Hall ticket to me.Such a bad management system.

whenever i am calling maidangarhi to ask the reason for this they are just transferring my calls to someone.Till now a ma not able to find the concerned for this

Yes Neha, its absolutely bad management. I also at the verge of my MBA degree and during this degree period I have faced terror of this bad management. And this terror still going on. I suggest to write a letter (not email) to your concerned region, attatched copy of first sheet of assignment (where achieved grade is mentioned and signed by evaluator), mark copy to delhi office. I think they are entertaining hard copy of complaints only. In past i have my grade marks updated by this way.

This is to inform u that I HAVE COMPLETED MY BDP IN 2007.But i have not received my Grade Card and the Provisional Certificate till date.

Moreover in five papers the assignments weightage had not been added.

So the papers status are showing not completed.

The papers are ECO-13, EEG-5, EEG-6, EEG-7, FST-1.

However i would request you to add the assignments weightage to those papers.
So that it could be completed and i could get by Provisional Certificate and Grade Card.

Matters relating to the implementation of the official language policy of the government. It organises workshops, programmes and contests to promote Hindi. The Cell also translates official documents. In accordance with the guidelines issued by Government of India regarding promotion of Hindi the Hindi Cell was created.

LEGAL CELL
Deals with legal matters and also defends the University in various courts of law on any legal dispute.


SC/ST CELL

In order to adopt and implement the guidelines issued by Government on India regarding reservation policy, the University has created an SC/ST Cell. The SC/ST Cell has also been entrusted with the work relating to the grievances received from SC/ST employees and also to send relevant information to the Ministry of HRD and University Grants Commission. Looks after the welfare of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe employees.

To centralize all information activities of IGNOU a Public Information Unit has been set up under an Advisory Committee to.

Provide information related to the policies, plans and programmes of the University to students and members of the public; and
Create a positive image of the University and promote the open learning system in the country.
Functions

Publicity:

Press Releases, Interviews, and Press Conferences are organized on a regular basis.

Website Updation and Monitoring

The regular updation, designing and monitoring of IGNOU's website memory is being handled by this unit under the guidance of a twenty member committee with representative from each department.

Advertisements:

All advertisements related to recruitments/tenders/admissions etc. are handled by the PIU.

Corporate publications:

The PIU is responsible for coordination all activities related to the printing of the In-house Magazine, IGNOU Newsletter, Profile, VC's Convocation Report and other Convocation publications as well as general information literature such as the University's Brochures and folders of the Schools and Divisions.

Public Information:

This unit handles general enquires, replies to letters of prospective students by post, through e-mail, over the phone and on a face-to-face basis.

Malpractices Cell:

The PIU monitors all misleading advertisements and information pertaining toe the University's activities. A surveillance committee under the aegis of the PIU has been constituted. Students seeking admissions to various academic programs of Indira Gandhi National Open University are advised to directly contact IGNOU headquarters at New Delhi or Regional Centres of IGNOU only. Students interacting with intermediaries shall do so at their own risk.



VIGILANCE CELL

Vigilance Cell formally came into existence in the University in 1998 and is headed by the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) to handle the vigilance matters concerning the University to ensure probity and integrity in public administration. It is considered as an extension of Central Vigilance Commission for the purpose of exercising check and supervision on vigilance and anti-corruption work.

Processing Complaints

The complaints received on corruption, malpractices or misconduct on the part of the officials of the University are taken up for investigation. While normally a Public Servant is required to address communications through the proper channel, there is no objection to lodge complaints directly or communications giving information about corruption or other kinds of malpractices. While genuine complainants shall be afforded protection against harassment or victimisation, serious note will be taken if a complaint is, after verification, found to be false and malicious.

Lodging Complaint

If anybody of this University asks for bribe or if you have any information on corruption in this office or if you are a victim of corruption in this office, you can complain to the Head of this University or the Chief Vigilance Officer and the Central Vigilance Commissioner as per the addresses given below. The anonymous or pseudonymous complaints are not entertained. The identity of the complainant should be disclosed and their identity will be kept confidential. Mine assignments which I had sumitted in october 2008 haven't yet considered in my grade till now !!! (its ~August'2009). Its not just first time incident. The Study Centre official had even lost all students assignment when I was in my 2nd semester for which we had to submit all assignments again!! I can't get why is there so lazyness. Firstly if the ICCF is seriously going to look into the matter then I feel the institute should keep a staff and students gathering or a meeting and each and every student who appears for the examination should be allowed to see their own answer scripts after the checking of those papers within 60 days of completion of that particular exam.
Secondly the period of declaration of results should be within 45 days of completion of examinations, and for this maybe IGNOU will have to move up to one level with other competitive institutes by appointing and recruiting more staffs in different course departments.
This has to be done fast and acted upon immediately because the young generation are getting furious due to the mis-management of the university.

IGNOU MCA — MCA project viva not conducted

Hi,
I am an IGNOU student and i have submitted by Project Report on Sep 2010.Till now i didnot get any call for project viva.So I contactd the regional centre and they told the Viva for the period is over.
Wht I can do next for this..

I am student of BTS Programme & have sumited my PTS-04 project on 15th March'11 but i am awaiting for update marks in my grade card because i want to start my MBA from this year.
As per my request do it as soon as possible
otherwise i am not able to go for futher studies ..

Ignou is a bunch of crooks, they spoil students carrier, many persons have lost their job by enrole in ignou they never update our numbers.Ignou is a tension center which is only made to trouble us.

well this is absolutely true,
i have gone with the same situation in my BCA project, where just because immaturity of the teacher i couldnt clear the viva and it caused me one year.

teacher was just drinking tea and having some food and was really not interested in my answers.

my name is mithun makhija and had to face the problem due to the immaturity of the teacher,
i attended the viva and found teacher more interested in having food and drinking tea then my answers.
i would request ignou to make this project scheme more flexible and easy to be passed out.

Hii! Myself Amit. can you tell me please if i had submit my MCA Assignment but not given viva voice can i given it again next time.. and in my Grade card Viva Voice number not included but my result is completed. can you advice me please what to do.. because it's effect my percentage...

It has been six months, I have applied for subject change from CHE05 to MTE 01, but the changes are not reflecting niether on the net nor I have recieved any letter for the same. what should I do?
