Individual — Housing Loan product sold to me on a lie

Below email sent to the bank employee handling my loan amount. I have not yet received a suitable reply / workaround to my complaint.

Good evening Sumit,

Let me start by saying that I have never been unhappy and disappointed with HDFC for the many years I have banked with them that I am now after dealing with the South Mumbai home loan offices !!!

However, I can't blame the bank for a few unethical employees and hence I am writing this email to express my frustration with the HDFC Home Loan employees that have been working alongside you at the Navi Mumbai branches.

You were kept informed of how I was treated from the start where your employees disregarded the importance of me being a CUSTOMER and it was you who finally told me that even your Reporting Manager refused to help and be of assistance.

- To start with your employee Nancy Shaikh who promised and sold me a product on the pretext of a LIE. And to add or cover this, she even went and released the disbursement to the builders even though she was asked NOT TO without MY permission. By this, it's been ONLY my LOSS because of your employees negligence and the same has NO reversal is what you continually verbally conveyed to me.
- She then put me to a manager named Amit Shinde who delayed and told me lies that he had spoken to Deepali from the Panvel branch. Deepali then confirmed that she was not contacted by Amit Shinde and he accepted to help but then quietly walked away from the topic by putting me in contact with Shalaka.
- Shalaka contacts me from a landline number which is never picked up when called on so I was then depending on Shalaka contacting me...again delaying and running away from any help that could have been offered to me.
- Then you call me saying that you will deal with my case but again after delays with no callbacks, meeting excuses, etc., you tell me that there can be no help offered. You even verbally told me that you will take action over Nancy and she will lose her job if I put you in an official complaint to which I said that this was your internal department issue which I should not have a say at and Instead you must give me a solution, being a customer. You finally told me that your senior reporting manager has also refused to help. I finally asked you to work around the interest rate to which you said it couldn't be worked out. In all this process there was absolutely NO option offered by you or your team / colleagues / your reporting manager.. At all times, you kept telling me that the same product will be available by the end of September 2023 and I kept asking you what happens for the loss I have suffered and still suffering from the time the disbursement was made to which I have got no positive reply until today!

I had to even ask you to send me my original Loan documents which were sitting at your Navi mumbai branch whereas the bank had charged me interest twice and disbursed money to the builder even without sending me my original loan documents! It's sad to see how you guys operate.

I kept asking you time and again "why should I suffer a loss due to negligence by your team" and I have still not got an answer to that and I still have to continue to suffer because of defaults caused by you and your team. And then finally I took your email address on the 13th Sep to write you an email.

You and your team which also includes your senior manager have paid no heed to resolve my, your customer's plea by saying there is NOTHING that can be done to correct the wrong that was done by YOUR BANK EMPLOYEE who sold me a product on the pretext of a LIE and who was a member of your team.

I would like to have a written official reply from you. Please copy all you wish to in your reply. I have not attached all the WhatsApp correspondences to prove my above. You have been kept in the loop of everything as events occurred. Pls let me know if you need me to share them in an email and I will do so.

I will ask you again. What do you have in plan to keep me happy and retain me as an HDFC customer after all that has happened?

I will appreciate your prompt reply to this email and no delay which has been a regular affair caused to me when confronted by questions and workarounds.
