Description of the event :
Twice i have come across at the hyderabad airport exit gate itc shop that the shop manager communicates higher price compared to the mrp mentioned on the product. Yesterday, at 11:30 pm i purchased 3 masala jamun and 2 mixed fruit juice priced at rs 20 each. I asked the total figure, he said rs 150/-, then i checked the printed price and brought to his notice, and finally i paid the correct amount. I had happened to me once in the last month also, hence i thought of bringing to the notice of itc. I feel the shops showcase the itc products and selling product at mrp is challenging for a break even. But prestigious organization and pride of india "itc" is continuing it for band awareness and not for profit. I am sorry to say that the spirit with which company has opened the shop, the same is not reflected in the staff overcharging customer. Kindly note my observation is only for the shop at the arrival exit, however shop on the ground floor has always been fair and charge correct amount.
Suggestion :
Presently your outlets give a manual bill after sale, i suggest you automate the billing part, and as soon as the customer sees a specific amount, he will pay exactly the same. Presently, because of manual billing the shop manager is taking the advantage of it and overcharging the customer who are used to being fleeced at airports.
