Inox Leisure / Inoxmovies.com — Popcorn and other food beverages is compulsory with movie tickets

Why it is mendatory to buy popcorn or other food beverages with movie tickets ?
I already had my breakfast before movie so I don't want to buy anything from INOX theatres.
And cost of popcorn and other beverages is more than 2 tickets so why there is compulsion of buying food items ?
This is only for offline tickets.

We go theatre for enjoying movies not for food.
