[Resolved]  IRB Infrastructure — Unreasonably cut balance from my fastag account

I am from surat. My name is rajesh thummar. Today i passed through the irb toll near kamrej at around 11:44 am. After passing the toll, i received a sms that my fastag account has been debited with rs.75 amount.
My trip number is[protected]. My vehicle number is gj5cr8952.
This happened 2nd time that is why today i am raising this complaint.
I felt that management at this toll plaza is not up to the mark.
Please resolve.

Dear Sir,

We are in receipt of your emails dated: 25.08.20 regarding deduction o[censored]ser fee from your fastag A/c. at Choriyasi Toll Plaza on National Highway #48.

At the outset, we sincerely regret for any inconvenience caused to you. We hereby inform that the matter has been investigated by us & clarify as under:

We are carrying out toll operations at aforesaid toll plaza as per Concession Agreement executed with ‘National Highways Authority of India’ (NHAI) and Notification issued by MoRTH.

As per Govt. Notification No.S.O.2424 (E), (copy available at toll plaza), there is no exemption for any person or vehicle except as provided in the said Notification.

It may be noted that vehicles with GJ05/GJ19 registrations are not exempted at Choryasi Toll Plaza as per said notification. However, there is provision of concession / discount for local residents (residing nearby toll plaza) for their vehicles subject to the conditions mentioned therein.

To avail this facility on Fastag (i.e. registration of Fastag as Local Tag), vehicle user needs to submit proper documents viz, vehicle registration documents, proof of residence etc. at Toll Plaza Administration Office. After verification of documents and if documents are found in order, Fastag is registered under Local Tag by the Toll Plaza. This usually takes 2-3 working days after submission of documents.

Apart from registration of ‘Fastag as local tag’, we have no role in payment processing under Fastag as it is automated process and payment is processed as per said notification. It appears that proper details were not shared with you by the Fastag selling agency.

We regret to inform that, as your fastag is not activated for local, hence full user fee has been deducted from it. The deduction o[censored]ser fee as per NHAI fee notification will not be refunded.
