Irctc — NO REFUND AFTER FILING TDR

Sir, I had booked a ticket online for a journey from Sirohi Road (SOH) to Jaipur (JP) on 21/04/2015. bearing PNR No. [protected] for Rs.480, in 19707/ARAVALI EXPRESS. On the day at the station I was informed by the station master the train was late by 2 hours. After two hours, when enquired I was told I t was late by four hours. I had to catch a connection train to Lucknow from for Jaipur for which ticket had already been booked. I had to rush to Jaipur hiring a taxi paying about Rs7000 as there wasn't any other option. I couldn't cancel my ticket at the station as it was e-ticket. When my wife talked to the customer care for filing TDR they had no information that the train was late. When the TDR was filed it was repudiated giving the reason TDR NOT FILED WITHIN ACTUAL DEPARTURE OF TRAIN. [Transaction ID [protected] ] Is it not unfair. First of the train is late and I could not avail the service even after paying. Secondly the message that the the train was late by four hours was not conveyed properly. Above all how can they expect me cancel an e-ticket while rushing to the next destination by taxi. The 19707 ARAVALI EXPRESS reached Jaipur that day 15 minute after my connection train Train No./Name: 19715 / JP LJN EXP PNR [protected]. Departure time from Jaipur 19:45. So I request the refund of the ticket amount and some reasonable and sensible change in the cancellation and TDR rules. James Cherian
