We M/s Jain Infotech, Ratlam have one current account no.[protected] in ICICI Bank, Kamar Manzil Branch, Ratlam (IFSC code ICIC0006582) and enjoying Internet banking.
On 12th May’2015, our current account had balance of Rs. 47, 825/- and we made two transactions trough Internet banking (i) transferred Rs. 7, 000/- in account of State Bank of India, a/c no. [protected], (ii) transferred Rs. 40, 000/- in account of Canara Bank, a/c no.[protected] and as per calculation, my account should show mere balance of Rs. 825/-.
Pertinent to mention that we never enjoyed any credit facilities from this bank in this current account.
After few time, we were surprised and shocked to see that our said current account is showing a minus balance i.e. (-) 46, 175/-.
Upon enquiry we came to know that due to bank’s mistake or may be due to server’s fault, both transactions took place twice and the amounts was also debited in our account twice instead of once. Internet banking transaction reference nos. are[protected],[protected],[protected] &[protected]all dated 12.05.2015).
We are unable to understand that how it happened when there was no balance in our account and how we can be responsible for it?
Since both accounts which were credited wrongly, are out of our control and bank made excess payment (that’s without balance) we request to take necessary steps to bring this money back.
Moreover, this incidence may raise very serious question on the reliability and authenticity of NEFT system. How one account can be credited with minus balance?
We shall feel pleasure in furnishing any information, as and when required by you.
Thanking you.
