Wastages charges are being collected more than 20% of gold at Kalyan Jewellers Vijayawada which is illegal as per Legal Metrology rules. Be cautious before purchasing with them and demand bifurcated bill so as to challege legally. Around 20 customers are ready at vijayawada and arranging for a suit with their bill ready.

Dear all my name is suresh i went to purchase gold jewel in kalyan Bangalore . they charged 23% wastage charges for 80 grms after discount. i trusted that kalyan is genuine gold quality is fine. design are fine. i really don't understand per gram 23% is 230 ml that means for 10 gram 2.300 gms wastage. per 100 grms 23 grms wastage which is 23*2669=61387 rs is it true. i don't understand how they make this gold. Making that must of wastage secondly the staff in the shop or more then customer this will defenetly add up over heads and all will come to end users only but in ad's they will show we are making revolution now come join us all this nonsence big big actors and actress's will come on ad to speak about kalyan there is no difference between them and others infact i found out that there r many others who's wastage is less then kalyan for this ad's and marketing charges will again add up to end users only just to impress the give price tag ad, wastage will be tagged and all if we ask for less wastage they will show one or two and that will not impress us can any one from the kalyan answer my all this questions why should we pay that much wastage charges

Hello, This is Bhavani and today 06/09/14 I bought a Kasu mala in Vijayawada. Price was reduced only $300 on what they quoted. As I liked it, somehow compromised and bought it. When I was giving 24 carat gold, they said they are going to reduce Rs.20 per gram as selling price. Why should I pay Rs.20 per gram as I bought the item in your store. I am not clear on what basis they said and no other Jewellery store doing/charging this when we purchase some item in the store. As an NRI, I come every year to India and last year also I bought one necklace in your store and they took 24 carat gold for that day price and no additional charges. How Kalyan jewellers can say/charge in 2014 as no other store will do when people purchase the item in the same store. I appreciate if you clarify this and I will inform my friends who are in US/wants to exchange their 24 carat gold with their purchase item, will ask them not to go to Vijayawada Kalyan Jewellers as I don't have any idea about other branches of Kalyan.

I had purchased about 28 pawans of gold on or around 28th Feb. 2014 from Kalyan center at Vashi, Navi Mumbai. Since I had gold coins of 22 as well as 24 carats with me, I exchanged my coins for the gold purchased. In the coins exchanged by me, there was a 50 gram cold bar purchased by me from Indian Bank, having 999 purity. While calculating the cost of this gold bar of 999 purity (24 carat), only Rs.20/- per gram was given as extra, than the price of 22 carat gold, and I was told that it is as per Govt directives. Kalyan being a big & trusted name, I did not think twice, and accepted the value quoted by Kalyan When I went to purchase some more jewellery from another jeweller at Mumbai, I exchanged another 50 gram gold bar of 999 purity (24 carat). They have given me 54 grams of 22 carat gold in exchange of 50 gms 24 cct coin. Thus, Kalyan jewellers have cheated me of 4 grams of 22 cct gold

Visited Kalyan's Thiruvalla showroom on1st May 2014. Tried to exchange old chain(20 gm) for a new chain (20 Gm). Old chain was of 20 Ct. where as new chain is of 22 Ct. As per gold content of old chain (20 Ct) they are supposed to reduce the actual weight by 11% only. But they said that for old gold while exchange they will Roughly reduce 20% from actual weight. Normally customers may not understand or may ignore this Cheating.

I have availed Kalyan jewellers one year scheme of saving, on the completion of scheme, I went to Baroda shop for buying gold coin, but I surprised to hear from sales executive that on purchase of 10gms gold coin of 24carat they charged Rs 1500 or more as mould charges, which is not rebatable when you resale the same. i have never hear from any jewellers shop. This is absolutely nonsense from this Shop. Any jewellers shop you go they will hardly charge Rs 200 or 250 on 10gms coin. I never suggest anyone to go to Kalyan jewellers. And in Baroda showroom Kalyan jewellers do not keep required gram coins. we have to keep follow for our requirement. shop never bother to take care of our requirements, we have to keep calling them, inspite of there mistakes

At the time when Kalyan Jewelers opened in vashi navi mumbai.i went there with my family to purchase some ornaments. at the billing time they suggest to take us for new gold saving scheme for 18 months & they will pay 2 additional premium with my 18 month paid amount and we can purchase the same amount value gold at kalyan jewelers. we ready & take the scheme. but after completion of 1 year(12 month) installment I surprised & socked the saying scheme is closed & cannot be continue. they will pay only my paid amount with 1 additional installment & i can purchase the gold with same value. i feel just cheated with them. My invested time & money is totally west and want justice.

I have purchased a bracelet of 8.26 gms from Kalyan Jewellers, Trivandrum for gifting my husband on 8th March 2014.On the 4th day of purchased it broke.They took 12.57% of the amount as making charge.Apart from all these I approached them to get my money paid back.They resisted to repay.They said they could replace only after deducting an amount from the bill.Finally I asked them to get it replaced with similar model.They promised me to contact me after 15 days.They did not respond.I called them up.They say it would be ready only on 8th of April which means my money is with them for a month.I am forced to lodge a complaint for the irresponsibility and the negative attitude shown to me all through out this incident.

Kalyan Jewellers who advertise themselves with Big cinema stars from across film industry is indeed a worst store ever seen. The sales person does not have any ettiquets in handling customers. We ordered a gold ring for my husband. At the time of ordering they didnt specify the % of making charges. When we went to pick up our ring weighing around 9 grams, they said that the making charges for the ring (Mould design) is 26% percent which is close to Rs7000 which is much higher than the making charges levied on a designer gold bangles. The ring we bought was with a simple design and there was not much labor effort also involved. This shop is a total cheat... My advice to all customers is to not buy any thing from this shop if you dont want to waste your hard earned money. Instead can check out other shops like Shubh or Jos alukkas...compare the price and then only buy.

I bought a diamond bracelet from Kalyan Jewelers, Vashi store in july. I started wearing it in Aug and to my surprize, after 10 days it fell from my hand somewhere. I found it luckily and thought that may be its lock is loose so I'll go to the store and get it done! Now after 15 days i saw two diamonds missing from the bracelet. I was shocked. I took it to the store and spoke about it. They kept it there for a month and then promised that nothing will happen to it. Now after a couple of month it again lost 2 diamonds. I again took it to them and asked them to either repair it or replace it. They said they'll replace it but will deduct making charge. I asked them that making charge for faulty design????? Then they said they'll repair it properly this time. And wow!! again after 15 days, it has broken into two pieces!!! I tell you dear readers, please do not buy anything from these nonprofessionals... There products are absolutely NOT RELIABLE. You'll have to care for your jewelry more than yourself and even that wouldn't help you. SMALL JEWELERS ARE WAY WAY WAY BETTER THAN KALYAN JEWELERS. I AM VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE QUALITY THEY DELIVER.

Dear Sir, I have purchased nearly 160 gms of ornaments including Bangles Chain Anklets Ear rings etc on December 2012 from Tiruvalla new Kalyan show room.Most of that ornaments are still in our locker and we didn't use most of them till now.In that my mom bought one bangle weighing 24 gm and she used it 2, 3 times and that bangle get broken down.We kept it for some days thinking that we will go to nearby Kalyan showroom and get it repaired.We got it repaired from Kalyan jewellers Kollam showroom.Again she used it for 2 times and it gets broken down again...???How strange right... So we decided to change the bangle from Kalyan Jewellers.So we went to great Kalyan Jewellers new showroom at Trivandrum M.G Road on 24th October 2013. There things went wrong in such manner that we lost our money nearly 13000 and very poor customer service by the floor manager and sales man. When we tried to change the bangle saying that we didnt use that bangle much, the sales man and floor manager treat us like we are going to grab something from their pocket.They blame us for taking that bangle by without checking thoroughly the bangle when we bought it from Tiruvalla.We said all the things but they are not even listening usThey are comparing the gold ornaments with electrical items and all and trying to shut our mouth.If they are providing this type low quality ornaments then whats the meaning of this type advertisements and all. In short we lost our Money Time dignity etc by exchanging a bangle from the "Great" Kalyan Jewellers. Please keep in your mind while thinking about purchasing Gold or diamonds from Kalyan.

We wanted to purchase two rings from Kalyan Jewellers, both of same design but different sizes. We purchased one ring and due to unavailability of the required size we placed an order to make another ring in same design however different size. The order was not delivered to us even after a month and on our visit to the store we found that our items (rings) were not in TO BE DELIVERED category but were placed in display for sale. Having bills on hand we managed to collect our items however we were shocked to see that there was a lot of difference in the design of original ring and the ring which was being delivered, also the quality of diamonds and gold also wasn't up to the mark.

the diamond jewellery made by kalyan jewellers are of real poor quality. the fitting of the diamond in the gold are poorest. i have bought two diamond rings and a mangal sutra from kalyan jewellers. the diamond keeps falling from the ornament. the labour is poor. if 18 c gold can not be moulded to hold the diamond why do they need to charge for the making charge? the costumer care in hubli has been very poor. they are not ready to accept the mistake in making. Dear public beware of this fault when you buy diamond jewellary from kalyan. please suggest me if i can proceed with case in consumer court.
hope to get some justice from kalyan.

We bought a gold coin of 24 carat and weighing machine also showed that it was 24 carat on the day we bought. (6months before). Today when we went for exchange of that coin with a jewel at Bhima - the same coin weighed only 23.4 carat instead 24.
When we went back to Kalyan and produced the bill, they simply took it from us and said they are ready to pay us taking the coin for today's rate. . When we scolded them, the store manager says he apologizes for that and takes it as complain.

Please don't go with brand!! Be careful when u buy big amount.

Please donot fall a prey to Advertisments given by Kalyan Jwellers Who say that they have introduced Rate Card for each jwell they sell in their show room.It is a cheating trick just to attract the poor customer just to attract a Fish for worm in an anchor.
Every thing is fixed in their rate card and we have to pay what they wanted.You have no choice to ask any thing.Their another offer Life card is another golmal just like Gold coin offerScandal recently reported in media as wellas by press.This is my experience to find that the Keralite black money big bosses with the collusion of some unscrupulous Govt servants let loose the buisness in the jwellery buinsness to swindle the money of innocent customers
