[Resolved] Kent RO — Poor quality of spares | |||
I bought a KENT RO with TDS controller on 26th Mar 2010 from M/s SAKI TECHNOLOGIES Chennai dealer and have since then incurred frequent maintenance expenditure to keep the system working. Only in the last six months the following items were changed 4th July 2013 sediment filter, carbon filter, & service 1150.00 bill 1183 from SAKI TECH 8th July 2013 spun filter 350.00 bill 1187 from SAKI TECH 12th Sep 2013 RO membrane filter 2550.00 bill 1430 from SAKI TECH Today since there is no output I called the technician from SAKI TECH who inspected and said the following need to be replaced Diaphram Pump Rs 1500.00 RO membrane filter Rs 2500.00 Service charges Rs 350.00 Total Rs 4350.00 RO membrane was changed only on 12th Sep 2013, but he says the guarantee is 3 months ! Iam unable to reconcile to the fact that a system costing Rs14, 000, requires Rs8000.00 to be spent in 6-8 months to keep it working especially when we are using corporation water (tds 250)and not bore well. Definitely the quality of spares is suspect and I had the system checked and arranged for replacement of the membrane and sediment filter (both replacable type not KENT) and the pump was not faulty as alleged by kent mechanic. Now the system is working satisfactorily I placed so much faith in their product based on the high profile advertisement in the dailies and this is belied. yes it is true Kent is spending money only in adv. Not in there service & parts..totally use less..I have spent til date 10, 000 for maintainnance in year almost after purchasing this machine i have spend more than Rs. 28, 000 i dont understand how such compny will survive in the market .
