I purchased kent grand plus after lot of research while considering low cost of after sales service cost like filter / charcoal replacement. I had been using eureka forbes water filter for almost 18-19 year & had similar annual cost of 2000 which use to cover 2 charcoal & 1 filter replace in a year.
I purchased kent in june 2018. Even after reaching one year, didn't received any call back from kent on how to proceed for next year amc. Recently in october 2019 my machine started bipping & water flow stopped. Call was registered with kent for service, a third party engineer visited. On inspection he ask me to first enroll for amc with them for whooping ₹ 8500. I told him it is very expensive & not as per what ₹2300 was informed me during purchase. He told me that in ₹2300 only annual service is covered & for filter i have to pay additional ₹3750. I told him that service is covered under warranty.
To me it is very disturbing & alarming, as there is no direct involvement of kent company & no clarification nor any official standard rate anywhere published on any of kent website / mobile apps or any formal quotation. Company insist to install mobile app but even in app there is no mention of amc official charges; on other hand the third party contractor demand hefty money which are almost close to the machine cost.in this amc cost or at much lower price i can buy regular water purifier which is good for mumbai municipal corporation water supply.
The cost of managing this machine is very very high and it is against other market standard.
If there any buy back or refund possible, please take this white elephant back.
