Vysakh Mohan [protected] We residents of Aanamukku, Thuthiyoor, Kakkakand (Behind CSEZ) around 10 families have been facing the problem of water scarcity over years. Though water has been supplied to Thuthiyoor area, the water distribution has not equally distributed around our area. Local authority has not done anything regarding this. 2years before a local political leader has changed the water supply pipelines ensuring proper supply of water.But the issue still persists that most of the family is not getting water even for Primary purposes. Everytime when we make a call to water authority, they will makes us to call contractor or engineer and they will wash of their hands. We are paying money to water authority for their so & so bills. They don't even bother to come here and check what the problem is. We hope there will be a speedy resolution for water scarcity.

      Iam T.Suresh 69 yr's old, owner of property & house in Thayalamkandy house, Puthuppanam(P.O), Vatakara, 673105.We made a new house in my name in 1995, since we had redugg and rebuilt our well, we had disconnected our Domestic Water connection, which was connected to our old house, prior to demolishen of the old house.Few months back I receiveda phone call from a Staff of Vatakara Water Authority, who was in my house in Puthuppanam, stating that there are some water bill dues and I should visit their Vatakara office and settle it.As I was down with a very serious Eye Surgery(Retino Detachment for which Surgery was done in Aravind Eye Hospital in Coimbatore, I had lots of Bodly and other physical restrictions for few months), I told him I was unable to visit their office immeadiately, more over to the best of my knowledge we had disconnected the water domestic connection more than 20 yr's back.I was surprised and shocked to hear from him that the water connection and arrers he was mentioning was in the name of V.K.Matha, who is my paternal Grand mother who expired in 1980.Since my father who was her only son, predeceased her in 1975, our Grand Mother had gifted her all property to the grand children and the above ansester property was gifted to me, as being the eldest son of my parents.I pay the land revenue tax and muncipality tax etc in my name, Though my medical restrictions are upto March 31st, 2015, some friends in Vtakara advised me to visit Water Authority Office before 31st March, as there maybe rush during last week of March and April 1st week.On my visit to Water Authority Ofiice Vatakara today, since the staff who phoned me was not in office, I was advised to meet an officer in Revenue Dept', on enquiry with him, matters revealed to me was fuether shocking and unbelievable.As per the available records with them, was a Reconection Fee remitence for a Non Domestic Connection on 16/3/2004 and Dic Connection on 3/11/2011, in the name of V.K Mtaha, with No.413.Officer told me that letters were sent to the adress couple of times, Staff visited the house, could not get the whereabout of the people or owner of the house etc.infact my widowed mother was staying in the gouse, most of the time, other than the times she visted her children, including me and she expired on 19TH Dec'r, 2010 in Coperative Hospital ICU in Vatakara.Officer has advised me to visit again during 1st week of April, by which he will be in a postion to give me exactly the total arrears amount due on late V.K.Mtha on the "Surprising and shocking N.D.Connection". Can I clarify the following from you pl'; 1.Can anybody instal a N.D.Water Connection in a house, without the approval of the Legal Owner of the house.. 2.So far we didnot receive any bill or Arrears' notice or notice for disconnection. 3.My late Grandmother, my late Father and myself are all born in Thayalamkand your office claim that nobody around our house could not give details on the whereabouts of any o[censored]s is alrming.It is all the more surprising that they were sending these bills and arrears to a poor lady expired way back in 1980. 4.Law of Limitation etc are not binding for arrears in Water Authority Dept! Even admiting that all steps are as per yr' dept's proceedures, can I request you as a Sr' Citizen to whom should I appeal to wave of this arears, knowing my helplessness in this matter and I can only auure you that I will assist you in aspects to find out who was responsible in doing this henius crime, without my knowledge, even if they are my relatives, as mostly when my mother was ailing and staying there, mostly only my relatives had access in my house, only such a person could have done this, we can jointly fix that person and proceed with actions necessary, including criminal proceedings if necesary.           I have a domestic water connection with consumer No TLD/7309/D which comes under PHSubdivision Tiruvalla . For the last 6or7 months i am not getting a single drop of water . i have made several telephonic complaints to the Tiruvalla Office . All my attempts were in vain .             To, Registered with AD Sri.Sajith TheExecutive Engineer, KWA, Kottayam. Sir, We the residents of kodimatha near pallippurathu kavu temple, kottayam, are not getting water through the pipes of KWA for the last 22 days from 9/2/15.We have given complaints over phone many times to the AXE, AE and overseer of kottayam KWA office, but no action has been taken.On 26/2/15 we have submitted a written complaint to the EE, kottayam .Even Sri.Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, Hon.minister of Kerala has given instructions to you to rectify the problem as per our request .But so far no action has been taken from your side.Now we have purchased water from private suppliers at high rates which we cannot afford . Now we want to know the reasons for the non supply of water from 9/2/15 to till date and also inform us the correct date on which we get the water supply. If our complaint is not reddressed within 7 days of the receipt of letter we shall be taking appropriate legal steps to make you accountable and claim due compensation.               Ref: Consumer No.VAZ/1625/S Dear Sir, We have noticed water supply to our Restaurant SINDHOOR The FAMILY RESTAURANT, Cotton Hill, Trivandrum interrupted regularly since a new pipeline connection has been activated a few months back. Water flows very slowly to our premises only during night after 12.00 midnight and stops after one or 2 hours, with no water flow during day time.. We have reported the matter quite a number of times to the authorities at Vellayambalam. More than two occasions, digging the road have been carried out near Sree Mulam Club and Survey Office by KWA men and water supply was cut for several days. We were asked to engage licensed plumbers and pay for the job more than 3 occasions. On alternative days we have been bringing tanker water from private drinking water suppliers at exorbitant rates. We are also concerned about the quality of water they dedliver. We would appreciate if you could please make arrangements to sort out the issue and regularize water supply. Please be kind enough to take the matter seriously.

                  Water bill for domestic use received by BPL (Below Poverty Line) family as Rs. 11455/- ...!! The family who had been recieving bill below Rs. 60 was striked by this enormous bill in Nov 2014. Officials came for inspection and didnt find any problem with either the meter or plumbing work (no plumbing through concrete or inside the house). On the threat that connection would be disconnected, the poor lady who is living with her mother and two kids ran to make money and deposited Rs. 1500 each twice ( total Rs. 3000). She was also made to give an application for attending Adalath this month in which she could get a discount. And the most disgusting part is that all these are done due to usage of 207 KL used and the readings are as follows 17th May 2014- 203 17th July 2014- 214 18th Nov 2014- 231 How on earth does the differences of these become 207 ????!!! ( 214-203 = 11 & 231-214 = 17 ) Earlier she was denied BPL Water subsidy as she was not the ration card owner but only a member- Ration card is in her Mother's name in which her name also exist. SANKUNNY I have remitted r s.421 at NURANI ( 678004) POST OFFICE being the water charges for the above water connection, as per your Palakkad p h sub, division bill no 10335232 dt 17/11/2014.The bill amount was Rs 409 and the balance was their service charges.The details of the post office receipt is given below. NURANI ( 678004) K.W.A.325 Trans, date 02/12/2014 Consumer ID. [protected] BILL NO 10335232 CONSUMER NUMBER /PKD/9711/D CONSUMER NAME. SANKUNNY TOTAL AMOUNT. Rs.421 However this amount is not accounted in your current bill no 11122030 dt 17/1/2015 and charged the earlier payment made at post office as due . The total amount of the bii is Rs.945 which I paid vide receipt no WA00129779 DT 4/2/2015. The authorities of your office at Palakkad office told me that the said amount Rs 409 was not received from post office, and ask me to enquire with them. The Nurani post office told me that amount was already transferred to KWA through online. Both of them does not have a clear reply for the amount, which is not properly accounted, and I am the consumer at a loss of Rs.423.                       My consumer no is AWN/16380/D. I live in Alappuzha town. The connection to my house is damaged at the installation point at the main pipe and water is leaking through the road. Even after repeated complaints the concerned AE has not initiated action to repair the leakage and has instructed me to repair it at my own cost. Is it necessary that the consumer should repair the leak at the road? The overseer has even given me written instructions to repair the leakage in the road. Is there no responsibility on the part of KWA to repair the fault?

                          CONSUMER NO.UPW/8236/D - M.SURESH KUMAR To The Assistant Engineer, Kerala Water Authority, Pongumoodu, Trivandrum 695 011, Kerala I am a consumer Number of KWA as shown above in the locality of Edavacode near S.T.Stores. I am rwesding here for the last ten years and wholly depending up on the KWA water . But, for the last few weeks I am not getting water through KWA line. Though water is flowing through the KWA line in the locality normally near to the bridge ( Asha Stores), I am not getting a single drop of water through the line for the last few days. Complaints already made over phone on the matter. But the situation is same. Hence, I am forced to purchase water through tanker lorry by huge payment.                             Category of water connection for my house in Edappally has been changed from Domestic to Non-domestic recently. Old Consumer ID - E49/1183/D, New Consumer Id - E49/1183/N. For house hold purposes, shouldn't the category be Domestic ? I didn't get a proper answer when I enquired about this change in Water Authority Office.Request to you please change the category back to Domestic - Thanks

                                sir Water is leaking on the main road of kumbanad at least six different places on the main road and lot of water wasted as well as the road tarring is damaged, why this wastage of water and we are paying for the lost water also, I can send pictures of some water leak around kumbanad.                                   Sir, I am residing in the Kendriya vidyalaya staff quarters Thamarakuzhi Malappuram kerala and my consumer number is 3969 P.H. Subdivision, Malappuram. I pay my water charges regularly in fact 6 months payment in advance. Since the last two months I am not getting water from the municipality taps and I am managing water from the neighbourhood well ( because of the rains there is sufficient water) . But I am afraid if this situation continues into the summer I am going to face immense trouble regarding water availability for House hold purposes and drinking. I have personally visited the KWA office and made a complaint and they have not made any checking of the plumbing and they are not rectifying the problem,

It situates in between the Water Authority main pipeline {Pipe lines _ 3 of it passes just upside my home]. I did noticed a permanent water leakage, through the basement of my home; since 3 weeks. I've informed the matter to the concerned officer [supposed to be]; and till now nobody have mind it ; I assume. I did informed this matter with details to Mob Number [protected] [ supposed to be the officer in charge to such matters]. No response from anybody; till now from this office. I have a fear that any of the three main pipelines have the fault {Leakage}. If so, the life of my family is in danger. What should I do next? Inform to all media with video shots of the leakage?
