I did a transaction at Garuda Mall, Bangalore KFC counter on on 19.11.2021 . First payment was made through Paytm. The person at the counter (Kumar) denied receiving the payment and insisted on 15 digit transaction code. I gave the 12 digit UPI reference number which he said is not valid and insisted that it should be 15 digit number instead.
I couldn't check with my bank immediately but found that the amount of Rs 754 is debited from my account and showed him that. But he said he can't do anything without transaction code. So, I made another cash payment of Rs 754 to close the transaction there.
Later I checked with my bank (ICICI) and they informed that the paytm transaction had gone through successfully and it's confirmed by the receiving bank (Yes Bank).
I followed up several times with KFC (Kumar) and only reply I got from him is that he has sent mail to his finance department to take care of the issue. I am left with no choice but to raise a complaint for this issue.
I am requesting you to reverse the paytm transaction for Rs 754. immediately.
