KFC India — Formal Complaint Regarding Hygiene and Food Poisoning

Dear KFC Management,

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against KFC regarding a severe case of food poisoning that my family and I experienced after consuming food from your Enigma Shopping complex Rwalpora, Sanat Nagar, Sri Nagar Branch on 11/07, 2023 at 4.34 PM. This unfortunate incident not only jeopardized our health but also ruined our planned holiday in Kashmir, as we had to be hospitalized and were unable to continue our travel.

I would like to bring to your attention the following details of our experience:

Hygiene Concerns: Upon entering the premises of the KFC branch, we noticed several instances where the hygiene standards were not being adequately maintained. The dining area appeared unclean, with tables and chairs visibly dirty, additionally the house flies flying on dining tables and lacking proper cleanliness and maintenance. Such lapses in hygiene are unacceptable and pose a significant risk to the health and well-being of customers.

Food Poisoning: After consuming our meals, my family and I started experiencing severe symptoms of food poisoning, including nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. The symptoms worsened over time, leading us to seek immediate medical attention at Mubarak Hospital, in Sri Nagar. The medical professionals confirmed that our illness was a direct result of consuming contaminated food.

Hospitalization and Holiday Disruption: Due to the severity of our condition, we were admitted to the hospital and required treatment and observation. This unforeseen hospitalization completely disrupted our holiday plans in Kashmir. Not only did we miss out on valuable time together as a family, but we also incurred substantial financial losses due to unused hotel reservations, transportation expenses, and other pre-booked activities.

Inaccessible Contact Information: To discuss the matter and seek resolution, we attempted to contact Mr. Naresh Dutta, whose contact information was listed on Google. However, we were unable to reach him as his contact number appears to be switched off. This lack of accessible contact information further adds to our frustration and the feeling of being ignored by KFC.

I would like to request the following actions to address this issue:

Thorough Investigation: Conduct a thorough investigation into the incident, focusing on the hygiene practices at the above-mentioned branch and the potential cause of the food contamination.

Accountability and Corrective Measures: Hold responsible parties accountable for the lapse in hygiene standards and implement necessary corrective measures to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. This may include retraining staff, implementing stricter hygiene protocols, and regularly monitoring and auditing branch cleanliness.

Compensation: Provide appropriate compensation for the physical and emotional distress caused by the food poisoning incident, as well as the financial losses incurred due to the disruption of our holiday plans.

Improved Customer Support: Ensure that accurate and accessible contact information for customer support and complaint resolution is readily available to avoid situations where customers are unable to seek assistance.

I urge you to treat this matter with the utmost seriousness and acknowledge receipt of this complaint in writing via email.

I trust that KFC will take immediate action to rectify the situation and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. I hope that we can reach a mutually satisfactory resolution and restore our confidence in the quality and safety of KFC's food and services.

i bought kfc from baratiya city mall bangalore on dec 7 th and after having it my family got affected by food poisoning. Please take action against the kfc baratiya city mall bangalore branch as it will affect your whole name to be destroyed.

we all had a lot of medicines till now from dec 8th we are affected by food poisoning and we visited manipal hospital and they confirmed it is food posining. please take action against branch.
