[Resolved]  Khaitan Fan — not improving the quality of the fan

I had purchased Zolta ceiling fan as it is from Khaitan Electricals. The specs are 1200mm; Fan no. 293583; inspected by S.K.D. My purchase date is 11th Oct 2012, from Padmavati Fans & Appliances, 474, Budhwar Peth, Pune 411002.
Within a week, we realized that the fan is not running in full speed. We complained to Padmavati. He tried to dodge us, but after repeatedly complaining, he agreed to change the fan. Our first fan’s colour was white, but he said he is not having that colour and we had to settle for dark colour. We realized that he was fed up with Khaitan and getting rid of the stock of Khaitan fans.
Later again the fan stopped working on 14th May 2013. We told Padmavati fans, but they just told us saying talk to their call center. We lodged complaint to Khaitan call Center, seems to be a general call center like poly-clinic or a table space in business center; complaint no. 237214. Their mechanic came next day, inspected the fan and replaced some parts.
Now just 3 months are over after 1 year warranty and the fan became dead. Again today we lodged complaint to Khaitan’s call canter, the no. is 448145 dt. 9th Jan 2014. Their mechanic came inspected and said, the electric motor is short and needs to be replaced. The price for motor is Rs. 550/ almost half of the fan price we paid just a year ago and Khaitan’s new motor will not carry guarantee even for a day. And if we do not want to get it repaired, we must pay Rs. 150/ for his visit to us. Fantastic. I refused to pay but signed the doc as it is a proof of his visit. Later again I called their call center and one Mr. Rana attended the call. I told him that what happened and repeated that I am not going to pay. He asked me to talk to manager, which also I find waste of time. I suggested him, if he wants, let him call me.
Now it all happened as we trusted KHAITAN’s name. Mr. Sunil Khaitan, MD, seems to be busy in other activities other than improving the quality of the fan and legacy of Khaitan.
I am exploring the possibility of going to Consumer Court. If not possible, certainly net is the platform where I can alert other would be Khaitan’s customers not to get hooked. खैतान नही सैतान.
