We would like to inform you that now days attending dr and staff for the patient admitted in hospital has gone very very poor. They are very very casual in their approach.

They need to give strict training for how to deal with patient and their family member. They should be in nature of motivating rather then creating fear in mind for patient and they family.

There are lot if discussion and noice at their staff counter. Their behaviour is seen very very casual, which also spoil the overall environment of the hospital and feeling of patient and their family member. The hear nurse behaviour is most important to improve, being she is leader.

I request you to kindly change the staff on immidiate basis, which will bring some fear and your team will start working posatively.

I believe if the old people started behaving boss or they get in casual nature, replace them immidiate.

This is happening in your entire adag group.

Regards
Sanjay bhandari

I just arrived at the hospitals emergency ward and i am not obligated to see this in the waiting area. There are lots of mosquitoes in the waiting area. I asked the security guards to help out the people but he denied. It's very unusual that i see mosquitoes in such a good hospital and that too in the emergency waiting area. Please do something about it.

This is regarding my nephew deepak chandrani (18 years old) who died in kokilaben hospital due to dr. Gaurav mehta's negligence and does not informing / counselling the serious side effects and infection risks of the exemptia (Injections) before prescribing the biologic or immunosuppresant injection to deepak who was very weak suffering from severe malnutrition.

Please find below the detail history.

Deepak was suffering from ulcerative colitis, severe mal-nutrition and back pain. Initially deepak was under dr. Shankaran treatment as he was very weak and had back pain, he referred dr. Gaurav mehta for the second opinion. On first visit, dr. Gaurav told that he will cure deepak with medical treatment. Deepak was admitted thrice in the kokilaben hospital.

On first admission and treatment, he was discharged after 4 days. He had follow-up with the doctor next week, but in between deepak again had a stomach pain, so he was admitted second time to the hospital again. He was under medical treatment, the doctor informed that the medical treatment is not working we have to go for the biological injection and told that each injection will cost rs 40000 and 4 injections will be given on 1st day, 2 on15th days and 1 on 29th day, and thereafter it has been to given 1-2 times every month depending on the condition. We asked the doctor whether this injection will cure the ulcer. He told that this injection will suppress the ulcer pain. We told if it not cure the ulcer and the injections are very expensive it is not affordable to us in the hospital so we asked the doctor for discharge. He agreed for the discharge and told that still he has to be given the injection so he prescribed the injection and gave the contact of zydus dealer named visha and told that he will given you the injections on discount and you can give the injection at home to deepak.

We trusted the doctor and gave the injection to deepak at home through nurse. After injection he starting breathing rapidly, his heart was beating fast and he was unable to move from the bed, and his stomach was rigid and was paining. I called dr. Mehta and told him of deepak's condition. He told to admit him to the nearby hospital. We admitted him in agrawal's hospital. Doctor gave him the injection then he got some relief from the pain. We told dr j agrawal that we have given 4 exemptia (Adalimumab) injections as per dr. Mehta's prescription. He and dr. Jay kotecha did deepak's check-up and found that the infection has increased and the ulcer had further deteriorated and there is a sign of mega toxic colon and his x-ray report said the ulcerative colitis going into intestinal obstruction and (Pct), serum showed report showed 46.76.. Dr. J agarawal advice us that he needs to be admitted to big hospital either at kokilaben where his treatment was going or seven hills hospital, where he and his team will do his treatment there.

Agrawal discharge reports said: ulcerative colitis going into intestinal obstruction, toxic colon with adalimumab and procalcitonin (Pct), serum of 46.76.

As initial treatment was done on kokilaben, we admitted deepak there on 13th jun at night 11:00 p. M, his blood testing and ct scan was done. Next day morning at about 10 a. M, dr. Mehta told that injection also didn't worked and there is punctured in the intestine and emergency surgery needs to be done. Dr. Manoj mulchandani also told that his intestine is ruptured and emergency surgery in 4 hours, but the surgery was done in the evening at about 7 p. M. After surgery, dr. Mulchandani informed that the operation was successfully and the team removed about 2-3 liters of pus and there was no ulcer in the intestine.

Next day in the morning after surgery, dr. Mehta called me in the icu, and told that deepak is ok, he will be moved from icu to general ward in 1-2 days. But when i met deepak, he was not able to identify anyone, hee was not well. When i asked the dr. Mehta why he is unable to identify anyone? He said nothing wrong, he will be moved to nearby window bed and everything will be ok and informed me that he will on leave for 3 days. Looking at deepak's condition, i started feeling that there is something major wrong after surgery and dr. Mehta didn't gave the correct information and left for holiday for 3 days. Next day dr. Rupa informed that deepak is in critical condition and was put on sedation, i told her there something wrong with the diagnosis, injections and surgery. How come simple ulcer brought deepak into critical codition. Dr. Manoj mulchandani took charge for 3 days in dr. Mehta's absence, and he also informed that deepak is in serious condition and his infection was increasing. Dr. Mulchandani asked me whether deepak was also suffering from liver problem. I said no as per my understanding. I also told we have admitted him thrice and the ct scan was done three times, if there was a liver problem then the doctor would have been identified there itself. Dr. Mulchandani told that his blood was also thin (Blood disorder) and antibiotics are not working. He was also not sure why antibiotics were not working. Icu head, dr. Prashant borade informed us that he had a multi-organ failure (Liver and brain) and need liver transplant we had a meeting thereafter with the team of doctors (You were also involved), and the doctors informed that deepak has only 5% chance of survival and dr. Mulchandani justified that due to blood transfusion deepak's was delayed. (Blood testing was done at 11 p. M report normally comes at 7 a. M next morning, how come then it took 12 hours for blood tranfusion?). Dr. Mehta told about 7 single donor platelets would be needed, i also advised to coordinate with the team of doctors and get the best antibiotics to cure deepak. Dr. Mulchandani gave new antibiotics (Fhosfomycin and reinvexin) and that too didn't worked. His condition was becoming worst and there was no improvement. Dr. Mehta informed that deepak was having new infection day-by-day and there was no antibiotics for this new infection, and deepaks condition was not improving. We are not aware what happening. I asked dr. Mehta what next now, he told that there are 3 options 1) we follow the same aggressive treatment 2) we give the required treatment and stop taking report / ct scan, 3) we reduce the dose and let deepak die as comfort care. He expired on 28th june.

How this ulcer colitis which was easily treatable become serious and took deepak's life. What went wrong?

Below are the finding after doing thorough investigations:

          1) dr. Gaurav mehta should not have prescribed the exemptia (Adalimumab injection) to deepak as he was very weak and couldn't tolerate it. This injection deteriorated the ulcer and increased the infection and as per the x-ray report saying, obstruction "ulcerative colitis going into intestinal obstruction"

Please go through this q & a "preparing for biologic or immunosuppressant therapy" link http://europepmc.org/articles/PMC3264940.

          Extract from the link "
G&h what factors should clinicians consider before initiating biologic or immunosuppressant therapy?
Svk first, clinicians should consider whether the patients disease warrants such treatment: is the patient sick enough that he or she needs biologic or immunosuppressant therapy? Also, is the patient healthy enough to tolerate these drugs?

If a patient feels a therapy is too dangerous, he or she is likely to be non-compliant with the prescribed regimen, even if he or she does not directly express any objections to the therapy. Finally, the patient's economic status should be taken into consideration, as immunosuppressants and especially biologic agents can be very expensive."

Deepak was severely malnutrition, he was very weak, and he couldn't tolerate these injections this injection suppressed his immune system and the infection increased [procalcitonin (Pct), serum of 46.76 as per the report]
          2) dr. Gaurav mehta didn't informed / counseled us of the serious side effects and infection risks before prescribing this injection. It is the duty and responsibility of the doctor to inform the patient which was not done in this case.

After surgery, deepak had sepsis, multi organ failure (Liver + brain) and fatal blood disorders and new viral, fungal and bacterial infections
          Side effects : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adalimumab#Side_effects

Because adalimumab suppresses tnf, which is part of the immune system, latent infections such as tuberculosis can be reactivated, and the immune system may be unable to fight new infections. This has led to fatal infectionsin some patients. After a number of studies and reports of adverse events in patients receiving adalimumab — including serious and sometimes fatal blood disorders; serious infections, including tuberculosis and infections caused by viruses, fungi, or bacteria; rare reports of lymphoma[15] and solid tissue cancers; rare reports of serious liver injury; rare reports of demyelinating central nervous system disorders; and rare reports of cardiac failure.

          Adalimumab side effects : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adalimumab#Side_effects

Antibiotics didn't worked on deepak after surgery because this injection suppressed his immune system (~ for 15 days) and infection was increased and he had sepsis, blood disorder and multi organ failure (Liver and brain) because of infection
          Inline image 2

Open this link : http://reference.medscape.com/drug/remicade-inflectra-infliximab-343202#3 and click adalimumab, you will see below.
          Serious - use alternative (68)
          Adalimumab
Adalimumab and infliximab both increase immunosuppressive effects; risk of infection. Avoid or use alternate drug.
From above, it clearly shows adalimumab injection must not be used still dr. Gaurav mehta prescribed it.
Extract from this q and a link:http://europepmc.org/articles/PMC3264940. "the risks involved with these therapies should be discussed. Risks of biologic and immunomodulator therapy include infection, an immune-allergic phenomenon, anaphylaxis, and lymphoma. When discussing the risk of lymphoma, clinicians should mention that this risk is equal for all agents in a particular class, and that while all of these agents are associated with an increased risk for lymphoma, this risk is not as high as the risk of complications from untreated ibd. Finally, although the risk of lymphoma is 4 times greater for patients receiving these agents than for someone who is not taking these medicines, the absolute risk of lymphoma remains low in most patients.
One important point to note is that there is a much higher risk for certain kinds of lymphomas in males under the age of 30 years, and this risk seems to be even higher when these patients are receiving combination therapy."
If dr. Metha would have informed us about the side effects and infections risks we would definitely not have given this injection to deepak.
          3) pre testing guidelines were not followed before preparing for biologic therapy as per the standard.
Deepak was not tested for hepatitis b virus (Hbv) and hepatis c virus (Hcv). These tests needs to be done as per the standard guidelines
Below extract from q & a "preparing for biologic or immunosuppressant therapy" link http://europepmc.org/articles/PMC3264940.
G&h do patients need to be screened for latent infections prior to starting biologic therapy or immunosuppressants?
Svk testing for tb and hbv is standard and should be performed in all patients who are preparing to start biologic therapy.
          To summarize:

          1) firstly, the doctor must not have prescribed this biological injection to weak and serve malnutrition patient who cannot tolerate it.
          2) secondly, it is the responsibility and duty of the doctor to inform / do counselling of the serious side effects and infection risks of the biological or suppressant as described above. It was not done in this case. Antibiotics didn't worked on deepak because this injections suppressed deepak's immunity, and the infection went on increasing. Because of the infection he had blood disorder and multi-organ failure (Liver and brain) and new infections like leposprisis. If dr. Gaurar mehta had informed us this serious side effects and infection risk before prescribing this biological injections we would definitely not have taken this injection.
          3) thirdly, the doctor didn't followed or advice us the proper pretesting guidelines (Like hbv, hbc etc. Test) before prescribing the injection.
There are many other important points which i cannot describe in this email. We will discuss it in the meeting. As described above in the detail, we like to have claim for the pain and suffering that we have undergone. Keeping yourself in deepak father's place, you think of the pain we have gone through.
I would request you to look into this matter seriously on high priority and take appropriate action.
I hope the hospital transparency and ethics will be followed and maintained.
I look forward hearing from you soon.

This was in feb 2017. We were referred to neurologist annu agarwal from kokilaben hospital by another neurologist.
Had a very bad experience. She diagnosed my mother with a rare form of dementia but her attitude and approach was so terrible that we stopped going to her after that visit.
            - did not explain anything about that form of dementia. She just gave us a pamphlet related to her alzhimer's and memory clinic (Is this marketing?)
            - when questions were asked, she had a rude and harsh reply.
            - did not even talk about the results of her diagnosis and we found out after a month when we went to the other doctor with the reports. Until then we kept on thinking it was alzhimer's.
            - no follow ups or no compassion. Not approachable.
            - we do not trust her a bit and will never recommend her to anyone.

              Dear Madam / Sir,

I have been writing to CEO of hospital, Mr. Ram and Mr. Milind but no one is bothered to response. I was in ICU from April 09 to 12, 2017 where:-
              1. Blood was taken out for testing but was thrown away.
              2. I was made to wash my own ### while I was bleeding.
              3. I was mad to do mouth wash in dust bin.
              4. My urine pot was kept for a day in my cabin.
              5. I was given folded towel and folded blanket instead of pillow.
              6. Dustbins from the cabin were not cleared for four days.
              7. I am charged for the medicines which are not provided to me at all.
              8. Duty Doctor in ICU is not aware of emergency call belll on patient bed.
              9. Uncooked chapati was provided.
10 Worst part was that the Admin doctor who visited me on my request has promised to resolve my issues but to shock he never came back to me till I got discharged eve after requesting him two times.
              8. Duty doctor was so casual is saying that:- what happen if 2.5 ml blood is thrown. Do you expect us to put back in your body again?

I request strict action under intimation to me and do let me know how do you compensate for my mental harassment.

We got our father admitted in the hospital sometime back for recovery from an accident. The doctor Assigned was neurologist Anu Agarwal. She was not at all interested in listening. She has preset idea of what the case should be without even meeting the patient. She was vocally aggressive, she was not interested in listening. I could not bring myself to trust her even for a day.

It's a first hand experience I have and hence many other people in the hospital I met, and other friends who ever had any experience with Kokilaben hospital. It's painfully shocking to witness what's going on in that hospital. My friends father of 80 years age was wrongly diagnosed of kidney failure and was put on dialysis making a hole through his neck for 45 days. He condition was becoming worse until my friend decided to forcefully take discharge from kokilaben. Only later when we approached another doctor through reference, as he studied and tested the case, uncle had a problem in his lungs.
We are trying book a bed for patient on phone call but no person are receiving call at patient admission department.

                kindly look into this matter

The whole unit of that floor was with him and my sister than holding his hand overnight sat with him holding his hand.Bhavya went on telling her that she should take him from there and he wants to go home. But my sis patted him and talked to him.Early in the morning he was too bad with his breathe  and my sister shouted for sisters and doctors.Doctors said they need to put Bhavya on ventilator. After half an hour Bhavya started puking with blood from mouth and nose.He was then given 1.5 lakhs injection to save his life which was the second last option. After half an hour a nuse comes out and says that hes stable. And all of a sudden in 5mins again he started puking of blood. As required platelletes donors were also arranged as soon as the doctors had told us.After an hour doctors took the decision to make him go through a surgery of 15 lakhs where the impure blood is pulled out and pure blood is transferred in his body.It was risky as per the doctors but still we had permitted them.In front of me and my sister, jiju Bhavya was shifted on the other floor for the surgery. But believe me all Im sure he had left us and the whole hospital is dramatising. We all were in bad shape that we never checked his heartbeats or nerves.Only we could see was his eyes closed. They took him down.We all saw him last in the theatre with no clothes on his body and only tubes and machines.Doctors when came out of the OT told us that hes responding but still will take half an hour to respond to the system they have put.Soon the doctors told us that hes BP is going down and is not able to take the pressure and Hes gradually leaving us now.Everything was over.He left us guys.We all will never ever get Bhavya back.I request all readers to share this to all your friends, relatives and groups so that any other kid or any life is not taken there.Staff at Kokilaben are not humans or doctors. They are butchers who have a big fat salary of 1.5 approximately per month and have a target of operations per day or month as MNC companies.Guys this is not a hospital but minting money storey.Mukesh, Anil, Nita, Tina and Ambanis wait and watch. You all taken lives of many people you all will not be spared. One day the whole nation will spit on Ambanis and the properties you all own.Shame on you all and especially Dhirubhai and Kokilaben who gave birth to all this and  own a family like ths.Guys stop going to any properties of Ambanis.I pray that the same happens in their family.I don't know who will support me but yes I believe one thing that white cannot be turned black.Truth remains the same and it comes out one day.But yes Our Bhavya is not thete with us but I pray that AMBANIS have a big loss overall and everywhere.Guys please share to all so that Bhavya gets the justice.Guys think that my sister was not given a chair in the ICU to sit overnight. She was standing the whole night holding my nephews hand and soothing him.Dr.Vatsal had looked into my eyes when Bhavya was on ventilator in the morning, the day he left us.He was not able to look into my eyes as if he had some guilt within him.Dr.Vatsal and d whole staff shame on you guys.I hope you have kids at home and yr families too.You all are killers of so many people and I wonder how you people can sleep peacefully. How you own respect from your parents, family and kids.Dr Vatsal and yr staff have shame atleast that all kids are like your kids. You are taking their lives.Guys its not only me who is saying or writing all this. There are many who have suffered.Ive evidences with me.I may be wrong or two may be wrong but not the whole world. Its you all Drs and the whole staff at Kokilaben who are playing with lives.Guys at Reliance too pls check d stock you are taking as its expired too.Ive experienced.Ambanis are just minting money on others lives cost.I really wonder that how our PRIME MINISTER MODIJI IS NOT DOING ANYTHING.IF HES VERY GOOD THEN WHY CAN'T HE SEE ALL THIS.IF HE SEES THEN WHY NO ACTIONS.OR ITS D OTHER WAY ROUND THAT HES AWARE BUT D LIFE IS NOT FROM HIS FAMILY SO.OR ITS A SMALL MATTER FOR THE AMBANIS, DRS AND FOR OUR PM

The patient has been admitted since two weeks in the ICU 7. We have been requesting since past two weeks for a photocopy of patient's reports so that we can show them to his niece who is a doctor considering he needs to undergo a liver transplant. The sisters have been giving us varied reasons for not giving us the reports in spite of having submitted an application letter signed by the ICU doctors. Most of the time there is no sister near the patient, waiting for an hour also we are unable to speak to any sister to understand his health status. Kindly help us get the reports at the earliest in order for the patient to have a speedy recovery.

                    Thanks & Regards,

I was admitted to the hospital on February 8, 2017 and an advance deposit of Rs 2000 was agreed to be paid within 2 months. We have not received any communication on receipt of cheque. Despite follow up, there is no response.

While it is not about the quantum of money involved, it is about the promptness of the hospital..

We had gone to CREF department for considering IUI/IVF treatments from Doctor PUJA DEWAN. I must this department is really pathetic over this. A hospital with such a Big Name has such worst team and Lead doctor for such a big issue. When we went there for consultation during Aug 2014- June 2015, they wasted our initial 4-5 months just in conducting medical tests . The doctor MS PUJA DEWAN is so depressive and demotivating, that instead of helping and supporting the patients, she started demotivating and dejecting the patients. her staff if also very rude and mismanaged.

I WOULD NEVER EVER ADVICE ANYONE TO VISIT HERE FOR IUI?IVF related treatments.

My wife Gurvinder Kaur and I, Taranjeet Singh Kohli reside at Kalyan, Mumbai.

My wife and myself have also consulted DR PUJA DEWAN for my wife's IVF treatment and I guess it was around the same year. But, we haven't had any such experience. Dr Dewan is a very WELL EXPERIENCED doctor in her Stream.

It's very easy to just say anything negative about a person without even knowing them. Dr Puja Dewan has a very POSITIVE ATTITUDE. She makes sure that she knows her patient's case very well before she starts off with the treatment.

                        The COMPETENCY Shows!!

My wife had conceived in the FIRST ATTEMPT itself after TWELVE YEARS under Dr Puja Dewan's IVF treatment and by God's Grace. She's such an EXCELLENT DOC who's thoroughly experienced in her field. She is a very down to Earth person with a SMILING face and an HUMBLE nature.

One cannot come to the conclusion that just because there were lots of medical tests conducted the doctor does not have the knowledge or the doctor is wasting time. It's absolutely wrong. Dr Dewan is the best person to know what's good for us. My wife and myself feel that there's nothing wrong at being one step further. Even my wife had undergone few tests

Her STAFF is also very very good and helpful. They take PERSONAL INTEREST in explaining each step.

This organization concentrates only on money making. They say that it is "a social initiative". LIARS. Ambanis have been robbers and they are trying to rob even more from society through this so called social initiative. My mother was under treatment of dr. Mihir bapat, a small fry under this fraud initiative. He is such a sweet fraud who treats you well unless ambani hospital gets money, after that he even refuses to see you. I paid rs. 1.5 lakhs for 1 day of treatment. They have trained their nurses, ward boys and asistants to hush you away. BE aware of these guys.

My brother was admitted in your hospital for 3 days with high fever, body ache and rashes. The hospital did not give the correct diagnosis. His condition eventually improved and he was discharged. His test results that I had given to an external lab arrived later ( a mismanagement on the lab's part) and it shows that he had Lepto. Kokilaben was unsuccessful in diagnosing that he had Lepto in the 3 days that he was admitted there. I am escalating this to higher authorities.

Myself Dr Yogesh Vaishnav got my mother in law to the hospital with complaints of extreme weakness and irregular pulse rhythm. Consulted Dr Sunil Wani. He asked for Trop I test which is an emergency blood test. My mother in law has been operated for CABG in the same hospital and also patient of Dr Sunil Kumar Singh for her arthritis problem. Since I was planning to consult Dr Sunil Kumar Singh also in view of her weakness etc. Dr Sunil Wani asked me to show to Dr Singh and then get Trop I test done so that if Dr Singh advises any other blood tests the same along with Trop I test can be done in the same. When I reached the opd counter of Dr Sunil Kumar Singh, I had to experience unsual behaviour of the customer care executive. It's like if you have a prior appointment it's okay otherwise you have to face this kind of behaviour. Is it right? Can't a patient who has some sudden complaints come to hospital without a prior appointment? Especially when the patient is been consulting two drs from the same hospital for long time. Does the patient have to think that since he/ she doesn't have a prior appointment whether she can go or not go? What's the use? Is the patient coming for free? Isn't it the duty of the customer care executive to understand this? She phoned Dr Singh. Dr Singh told her we need to wait. Okay no problem. I went and completed the registration formalities. And kept waiting after that. Dr Singh saw his last prior appointment patient and went off. Asked my mother in law to wait for 20 mins till he comes back. Is this the treatment and service given to patient who come without appointment. And most important thing. Dr Wani asked to do Trop I test which is for detection of ongoing heart attack or any ischaenic heart event. This test needs to be completed immediately. If any ongoing heart ischaemia is there it can detect immediately. So why we need to wait. Couldn't Dr Singh ask us what was the problem. Now I only have the option of getting the Trop I test done without waiting for Dr Singhs consultation and then come back to him and get other tests done. So an old patient has to undergo two times. Is this right? Not expected out of such a reputed hospital

Rupesh Sonawane security guy was drunk on duty and had an abusive language against my sister. I am not lodging any police complaint as my mother has returned home because of this hospital but please look into the matter. And sack these kind of people who are spoiling Kokilaben reputation. As this kind of behaviour is not acceptable in hospitality business.
