Ktm duke 200 needed service and there were complaints about brakes binding and nuisance high coolant temperature warning when headlight is switched on. Also broken rear turn indicator. The service centre said only motul 7100 oil is available as they are not allowed to put in anything else. Although till date at all my service visits ive been offered servo oil which is one third the price. I agreed to this.
Received a call in two days that bike was ready for pickup. Saw that the bike was not even washed. I was billed for service, oil, filters and chain lube, clutch cable replacement and electrical wiring repair.
Clutch cable had not been replaced so got them to strike it off, since i have k&n reusable filter, i asked them to remove air filter from bill. For lack of washing, they said it is complimentary service not covered under service. Brakes still sticky because spares not available. Likewise for turn indicator. Worst part was that they gave me the bike with a dead battery. Now imagine brakes binding badly and they offer to do a jump start and i should take the bike home. If the bike stops in between due to brake stuck, i cant even start the engine and with sticky brakes i cant even push it. I was frustrated enough to take the bike away. But will forever remember the treatment. Ready to race but never ready for customer service. Dont ever buy ktm. Was this information helpful? |
