[Resolved]  Kutchina / Bajoria Appliances — Kitchen Chimney Model No: ARC EXCEL Serial No.[protected]

On 28.10.2019, Smt Gargi Pal, introducing herself as someone from KUTCHINA, contacted me over phone and offered me KUTCHINA chimney at a discounted price. Considering the reputation of the brand “Kutchina” I placed an order and paid the full price on 30.10.2019 to S&G Kitchen Appliances, 542B, DumDum Park, Kolkata 700055.

The chimney was delivered to me by S&G Kitchen Appliances on 05.11.2019.

On 10.12.2019, the chimney was installed and a one year warranty card was issued to me that offered 3 free servicing within a year from the date of installation. I was promised that 3 free services will be given on & around 10.04.2020, 10.08.2020 & 10.12.2020 respectively.

On 29.12.2019, an AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) was made with Shri Niloy Mitra for a 3 years period starting from 10.12.2020 to 09.12.2023 vide contract no. 3313 dated 29.12.2019. (enclosed).

First free service was postponed due to COVID 19 lockdown and was done on 13.07.2020 under service docket no. [protected] dated 02.07.2020 and I was advised By Smt Gargi Pal that future requests for servicing should be made to her only and not to KUTCHINA.

On 24.11.2020, vide docket no. Sg/187/1120, I booked for another free service from Smt Gargi Pal and was assured by her that the service will be done within next 3 working days.

Repeated telephone calls, since then to Smt Gargi Pal assured me of service “within the next 3 days” .

The contracted AMC commenced from 01.12.2020.

On 17.12.2020, after no productive response from Smt Gargi Pal and Shri Niloy Mitra, I called KUTCHINA at their toll free number [protected] for the service and I was given a Docket no. [protected]. I also learnt from them that S&G Kitchen Appliances is not authorized for making any AMC with the customers on behalf of KUTCHINA and I was advised not to pay any money to them for AMC – even though I had already paid them the same on 29.12.2019. The said AMC has official emblem of KUTCHINA on right top.

The above incidents and information, confirm that I was duped by Smt Gargi Pal and by Sri Niloy Mitra and I incur a loss of Rs.4000/- that I paid towards the dubious “AMC”.

I seek redemption from this dubious contract and refund of Rs 4000/-.
