[Resolved]  Lalitha Jewellery — Poor quality

I bought gold chain ( 4 sovereigns)2 years back but was literally unused because of my daily travel job. When I started using it, within 2 months of my daily usage chain's ring got cut. I have never seen such a poor quality chain in my life. This is not the first time with Lalitha Jewllery. Even my necklace got cut on the day of my wedding itself(Brand new). The reason the store manager gave us was its because of KDM (Nowadays KDM gold is all like that nothing can be done). BEWARE and think twice before u buy any gold from them.

PROS

I have been visiting Lalithaa jewellery in the last few years after comparing several shops on the price.
Even before the price comparison ad by the CEO came, I was on hunt out for an antique piece of jewellery and realized Lalithaa was the cheapest. MC was just 5% compared to the so-called cheapest seller Saravana Stores Elite who charged whopping 21% for a similar design on the same day (usually jewellery shops adjust the making charges based on gold rates - the less the gold rate, the more the percentage).

CONS

However, for earrings he charged 7-9% though the ad quoted that there was nothing beyond 7%. This was the case for many earrings. Only for few chains like thali kodi etc they charges 2-3 %. Else it is around 10%. But still, I feel compared to others, this shop is the least priced, and ofcourse 916 hall marked jewellery only.

Regarding collections, they don't have huge collections but they have managed to have a few in every pattern. It is ofcourse not a place for unique collections.
Yesterday, I went to Lalitha Jewellary, attracted by the claim of their owner in the TV advt regarding low wastage. It was totally absurd & untrue. Though the displayed wastage rate is lower than other shops, there are hidden charges. I checked a stone studded jewel. The calculation goes like this: They take the total weight including the weight of stones as gold then add cost of stones also and then add declared wastage charges.

Where as other shops straight away reduce the stone weight & then add the cost of stones and then add wastage charges.

When you compare other shops rate is lower or equal to lalitha's. In effect you don't get any benefit of going to Lalitha's as they deliberately hide other charges. Thus you end up paying weight of stone at Gold rate + cost of stones too!!! Never try...
I visited Hyd. showroom for platinum bracelet and as they are advertising I took the comparison slip and checked outside. They are charging Rs.2500/- per gram, where as Malabar is charging Rs.1400/- per gram and Tanishq is charging Rs.3500/- per gram. And designs are very poor in Lalitha jewellery compare to outside show rooms.
I joined the gold scheme in lalitha jewellery malleshwaram which is the worst decision i took.. the customer service is soo damm pathetic..when i asked one of the sales men to show me a necklace he just askd be to wait and mentioned in a rude way that hes helping customers... if hes helping customer who m i??.. just because the gold has to be purchased for the amount i have been paying..i have no choice.. and the incharge there in jewellery asked me to write my feedback on a book.. which i dont feel is gona make any difference ... and coming to the quality part of it.. i also purchased a silver ring during the last visit... n i have no words to explain about it as the silver ring turned its color to almost bronze... NEVER AGAIN Lalitha jewellery!!!
I visited Lalitha Jewelry new showroom in Hyd today, almost bought 50gms of gold for my family .. at billing, when checking prices, they aren't different from other showrooms, like their ads say. And asked me to share id proof, which govt declared not required. When asked for explanation, he started saying 'its not different from others, all gold merchants charging same way'. That was an indication for me to not trust Lalitha Jewelry anymore. They and their ads are kind of cheating. Only reason he is asking to compare quotes is because same Quantity with same Quality having same Design can't be found. They will challenge one of the aspects even if found. Big time cheat campaign/marketing.

I bought daily use gold chain ( 8gms) on march 2019 in Pondy Branch I started using it daily, within 1 week of my daily usage chain's ring got cut. I have never seen such a poor quality chain in my life.
The reason the store manager was worst. They Cut the damaged part and rejoin the chain and gave me second time. Then after 1 days the chain ring was cut down.I went again to shop then are telling usage or all rubbish stories.
Be aware...
While selling they will say all good story and sell and if any damage within a day they will point about the customer usage.
Worst Management.
Don't Know How to response to Customer.
