Dear Sir,

This is to draw your kind attention to the fact that I am undergoing a lot of sufferings after purchasing a Lenovo laptop. I had to repair it 7 times in less than a year. In the last case they promised to replace my laptop if it again malfunctions, but now as expected shying away from it, since, I don’t have a written prove. I am giving you all the case-IDs, which will show that almost all hardware parts have been replaced, specially Optical Disc Drive(ODD) which cripples the machine . In spite of that at present my ODD, speaker & a key is not working.

Lenovo Laptops — service not upto mark

we have been selling lenovo laptops from the past 2 years but the service of the company is hopeless.they are not responding to the complaints being made by my customers.1 of the laptop case is 1 month old are the only reply from their side is that there is no stock available with them.

apart from that this is always there trend of not providing service at proper time.

    My Lenovo Y500 series is having a problem in CD DVD Rw, my notebook is is just 2 - years older. it is making so much of noise after inserting dvd or CD And also not reading CD, s just show blank on the drive.

    Lenovo Laptop — Non Delivery of Free gift(MP3 Player)

    I had sent DD of Rs. 500 for free gift. I received mail saying that it will be delivered with in 4 or 6 weeks . Till now i dint recieve gift. Kindly let me know the status

    Lenovo Laptops — Poor Service ---- need help

    Hi,
    My husband had bought a lenovo Y serise laptop with original Microsoft Vista as OS from S.A Infotech, Bhubaneswar about 1 years ago.Within one month of purches we found IE appchrase issue, we had lodge lots of complaints against it but they didnot respond to my complains.
    Today when i open my laptop its screen doesn't show anything. so We take laptop to the lenevo showroom they told us that we charge RS. 1600 to look into this and it may required Rs.8000 to Rs.9000 to fix the problem, so you first decide and collect the money then contact us. Is this the way the Lenevo treat their customer.Its only one year of buying a product worth Rs.45000 is like this .
    i am just feed up with this type of service.I feel we were cheated for buying this brand.

    I need you should think of it.Please help me in this regards.

    Lenovo Laptop — PRODUCT IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY

    I HAVE PURCHASED A LAPTOP OF LENOVO COMPANY FROM NETCOM COMPUTER, INDORE (M.P.) BUT AFTER 4 MONTH IT'S KEY BOARD HAS BEEN DEAD. I HAVE SUMMITED IT IN LENOVO SERVICE CENTER ON 21/11/2008 CASE ID IS L8BI00VE. THEY TOLD ME WE ARE REPAIRING IT. THERE IS SOME PROBLEM IN MOTHER BOARD AND WE WILL CONTACT YOU AFTER 3 WORKING DAYS AND CHANGE MOTHER BOARD BUT AFTER 3 DAYS THEY TOLD ME TO GIVE US SOME MORE TIME BECAUSE IT'S BODY HAS BEEN DAMAGED BY US WE WILL CHANGE IT IN 3 WORKING DAYS BUT AFTER 3 DAYS WHEN I CONTACTED TO SERVICE CENTER THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY ARE NOT IN THE POSITION TO TELL ME HOW MUCH TIME IT WILL TAKE. THEN I CALLED TO CUSTOMER CARE AND MR. SHIVAM TOLD ME THAT HE ALSO DON'T KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON AND HOW MUCH TIME IT WILL TAKE HE TOLD ME COMPANY IS NOT MANUFACTURING PARTS SO I TOLD HIM IT'S NOT MY FAULT AND I DON'T WANT SAME LAPTOP AND CHANGE IT BECAUSE MY TIME IS WASTING AND I AM LOOSING MY WORK SO HE TOLD ME IT'S NOT POSSIBLE BECAUSE IT'S UNDER WARRANTY AND WE CAN NOT CHANGE IT WE CAN REPAIR IT. I HAVE DISCUSSED WITH HIM 25 MIN. AND TOLD HIM ABOUT CONSUMER FORUM, AFTER A LONG DISCUSSION THEY ACCEPTED THEIR FAULT AND ASSURE ME TO GIVE NEW LAPTOP WITH IN 3 WORKING DAYS AND TOLD ME APPROVAL HAS BEEN RECEIVED AND SAME THING HAS BEEN CONFORMED WITH MR. NITIN PODDAR AND MR. ABHAY PODDAR WHO IS OWNER OF NETCOM COMPUER AND SERVICE CENTER BUT TODAY 5 DAYS HAS BEEN PASSED BUT I HAVE NOT RECIEVED ANY CALL FROM LENOVO CUSTOMER CARE OR SERVICE CENTER. I MADE CALL IN THE MORNING SO NO BODY IS TAKING RESPONSIBILITY TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER. WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW PLS. GUIDE ME.

    Lenovo Laptop — free gifts not received

    Hi this is Amit goyal, and I have purchased a Lenovo laptop from authorised dealer name is simco computer system from Agra. At the time of purchasing, I have been told by simco for 2 free gifts out of 9……… date on 18th oct. 2008. I registered myself on the Lenovo website and send all the required documents to channel technology at noida at that time………...now the time of dec. ending yet not get any response by them then I called to noida to ask for the gifts. I talked with sharad on phone and get response to made a mistake in invoice no. that’s why my gifts has been rejected by them and told me to talk his senior name was arfa for further detailed then I called to arfa and respond me same like sharad…….. then after clear my invoice no. to her …………..she told me a another mistake in purchasing date……………ohhhhhhhhh it was really a very bad response as a kids. I was really very disappointed to get this type of behaviour by them. Then I complain to Mr. sharad sharma(north sales head) but yet not getting any positive response by them also even no any positive response by the Lenovo registered office(Banglore).
    I have read a lot of problem going with the people on this consumer forum site. Out of them some have a problem for gifts……….. even some customer send the DD behalf of channel tech. and yet not get any free gifts and some have a problem from service centre ……….i think that’s not a fair deal by the international company.
    I request u to consider on my difficulty along with all the customer who all are suffer by your company.
    Now for all the customer who do not get any positive response by them…………..to all just i want to say that after this above mentioned mail if we will not be respond by them then no need to sit keep mum. I request to all to mail me and we will make a team to fight for our rights as per by company’s word.

    Lenovo Laptop — free gifts are not received yet

    I am pawandeep kaur from jalandhar and had purchased a laptop in october with whom i got 2 free gifts out of list of 9 items. i have chosen printer and a watch but still i haven't got anything but on 31st dec, 08 got one mp3 from channel technologies as a gift and which i have return to laptop's dealer from where i had purchased my laptop.

Its ODD was replaced with a new one.But after 1 moth it again stop to read CDs/DVDs. and recently it stop to read its Original vista Setup DVD.yesterday i took one key recovery and then it read only once the original driver DVD and again stop to read any cd/dvds. kindly give me a right solution.

    the worst laptop i have ever seen... i had already chage ODD last time.. it work 10 days perfectly fine then again same condition... DVD is again not reading... only the original CDs and DVDs are reading...

    I have a Lenovo Y500 laptop purchased in 2008 too, and it has the same problem. The DVD RW drive just doesn't work most of the time. Shows blank disks regardless of what is on them. Tried getting support, but nothing has helped.

    this y 500 is the worst series started.i have already replaced my cd/dvd rom twice within the warranty period...still it is not working properly and the problem continues to persist...Now when i called the head office...they want me to pay Rs.6000 for its replacement...why should i pay?...I want the company to take an action as soon as possible...

    I have purchased a Lenovo laptop of Y410 series before almost one and half year. It had a problem with CD/DVD RW the driver (just after 3-4 months of getting purchased, although it was not used much) that it could not read/write CD/DVD and the same was resolved by chaging it. Since then I have changed it two more times after the one year Warranty and now it is having the same problem for a few days. I am really fed up with this and will be grateful if you could tell some stable resolution of this problem ASAP.

    I am David Wagner M. Reyno a CPA from the Philippines and I have bought a Lenovo Y430.

    My laptop is just 6 months in my possession yet my dvdrw is no longer working. I went back to the retailer that sold to me the unit. I was made to wait 2 months after which I got my dvdrw back. However, after a month, I experience the same problem again. I went back to the retailer again and they told me that I would most probably wait for about the same length of time! So if I am to avail of this slow warranty service again, that would be tantamount to waiting for 4 long months in total!

    I never expected Lenovo service to be like this! For me it has affected the Lenovo image badly! My brother told me that because of this experience, if he is to buy a laptop it would no longer be Lenovo! So sad...

    I would just like to ask what is the best course of action for me? Better yet, to Lenovo, what is the best course of action for your company?! This is affecting your well-loved image! I wish to receive a reponse...pls...thanks!

    I Purchased a Lenovo Y 500 Series Laptop in October 2007 and I am also having the same problem.The DVD writer is not even reading the sony and other company blank DVDs.It is showing the free space as zero bytes and does not allow me to write anything using default wizard or using Power2Go Express..It is not reading any DVD /CD movies also..I can use only digit/Chip Cd's and windows vista cd using this ..

    I have the same problem as I am seeing have piled up in this forum. I bought a lenovo 3000 Y410 laptop last year on 21st march. I started experiencing with it's DVD drive 3 months back. The laptop was under warranty period so the Lenovo service centre fixed it, but I started experiencing similar problems a month back. First it stopped reading userburned discs then it amounted to stop reading any discs but the recovery discs provided with the laptop. Now even they aren't being read by my drive. I therefore ask for urgent assistance in this matter. I must stress that I am duly disappointed by the lack of response to our queries by lenovo on such matters.
    I hope that your company would redeem itself.

    I bought my lenovo Y 330 in the month of April. According to the scheme I was to pay Rs. 3999 and get a Blackberry free with the laptop and to be delivered within two months. It is over 6 months and there is no sign of when we will receive the phone. Whenever we call the centre, they would ignore our complaint somehow or the other or not pick up the phone at times.     Lenovo Laptop — Poor Service

    I had a worst experience of Lenovo Laptop , i have sent service requests many a time but no response from the serice centre , online customer support providing service complaint number everytime but no service centre is responding for repair. i have laptop under 3 years onsite warranty but i am facing a problem from last one year and after many complaints it is still waiting for response ...be carefull before buying LENOVE LAPTOP.

    lenovo is the worst notepad manufacturer and i am not going to recommend any body to go for it. worst out of this worst system is its cd/dvd read write. 2 times i have replaced it but everytime after few months it starts malfunctioning and not reading any cd/dvd.

    This is Mayur Malviya form Jabalpur and my complaint is about Lenovo Laptop. I had Purchased Lenovo laptop on 16.11.2012 and now after 1.5 year its keypad is not working properly and when i contacted to Coustmer care department they said its out of warrenty.

    Kindly help me sir because now if i have to replace that keypad with charge and the cost is near about Rs ;- 4000/- and with in 1.5 year this problem has been rised.

      I have been facing serious issues in my laptop(lenovo 7757 82Q). Earlier it was the speakers stopped working, then the DVD drive dint work. i have got this DVD drive replaced three to fou times. i cant even make a backup of my data. my laptop serial number is MA91N4T. today is the last day before my warranty expires. iam going again to the service centre with the same issue of DVD drive not working.

      had a problem with my g550 sl no CBQ0319531. I am not able to do the one key recovery as it is showing available space is not enough, maybe due to increased size of hard disk after each defragmentation.

      Since last 24 hrs I am trying to get in touch Through the toll free nos but non of the toll free nos published in the official website are working viz[protected], [protected], [protected] and the feedback on service toll free no [protected] where I spoke to Uday couple of time is also not responding, probably blocked intentionally. It seems these two nos [protected], [protected] were also blocked intentionally since I got connected twice yesterday but disconnected after the call was transferred to the technical dept. I have also sent 5 emails to the [protected]@lenovowarranty.co.in and also got disconnected after 3 minutes of STD call to the no[protected]. But no response since 24 hrs.

        I had visited to your service station which is located at J.O.P PLAZA SECTOR-18 3rd FLOR. NOIDA named INGRAM MICRO. Sinces last four month the day when note book SCREEN LOCK get infected (flap problem loose from right side and gap) .

          Our claim status for a Titan Watch & a Philips Mp3 player was rejected due to a serial number mismatch while online registration.

          Due to some confusion the Model number was written instead of the serial number. But we have submitted all the relevant documents which are sufficient to prove the purchase is authentic. Upon contacting your customer center their executive Mr Sharad straightly refused to help in this matter. We had purchased this laptop because of the gifts on offer.                 1. I have Lenovo 500Y series laptop MT/Mod-7761-4EQ S/N-MA-8MR43.
                2. Please refer to case no L91800GA.
                3. I have earlier shown my laptop to Lenovo service centre at Visakhapatanam (HI TECH INformatics) a number of times.Last time the mother board was replaced in Lenovo service center.
                4. I safely took the laptop in my bag. Later I had noticed cracks on hinghes.On the right hingh a small chip had come out and the left hingh had a crack over the screws.
                5. I reported the matter to Lenovo but I didn't receive a positive response.
                6. I have an extention warranty for 2 yrs also.
                7. I feel the damage has been caused either due to over tightening of screws by the Lenovo service centre or I am unlucky to get a defective piece.
                8. The case is been delt under physical damage and no replacement is being offered by Lenovo till date.
                9. There has been no damage caused by me in any form.
                10. If the damage is examined closly then certainly your attention will be drawn as my point no.7
                11. I feel I should get full service for the case mentioned.

                    I have this Lenovo Laptop and in the manual it shows me how to do a recovery action. The manual says to Press the Lenovo Care Button. No where in the manual does it say where this button is. Is this button a key on the keyboard. I seek help from Lenovo but that is a loss as there is no help. Seek help on forums but no where does it say which button is the Lenovo Care Button. Can someone tell me where this button is as they do not mention this in their manual.

                      Your people have spoken to me many times and know my story well by now. My story is not new. I have continuously worked with your tech support and followed their lead as we discovered the problems this computer from the very beginning. I have spent time speaking with your depot and customer service and complaint dept.



                      I find your letter cold and uncaring. You are obviously unwilling to back up the quality and performance of your product. You did not even present the reason you found to deny my having a quality computer in perfect working condition…you simply wish to deny through lack of “justification. What does that mean? Is it not enough that this machine has been going back and forth from your repair depots and never getting it right?



                      I have been reviewing the customer service hardships on many internet sites. Lenovo has a troubled history in providing quality service from what I have now seen and experienced.



                      If you “cannot justify a refund or replacement” then I wish to speak with someone who understands this dire situation and can justify the replacement or refund. This on-going difficulty is definitely due to faulty hardware and wireless as well as the mistaken return the 2nd go-round with your depot of the incredibly incorrect installation of Vista and returned as “perfect” which it was not. Again for the 3rd time the machine has gone to IBM repair and again for the 3rd time…faulty.



                      This handling of my case/ cases is absolutely offensive and unnecessary by your company at this point. I expect a more thorough review of this case/ cases and the professional respect due any consumer spending money with IBM in good faith.

                          Please find attached herewith the photographs of the laptop & box as required by you. The brand new laptop (Yoga 500, core 1-7, black colour, windows10) never started after i received it yesterday.

                          I have been using Dell XPS Laptop and 10 Dell Work Stations since last 5 years. But i never had any problem either in the laptop or the PCs. This time i made a mistake and selected to buy Lenovo Yoga 500. I have been trying and struggling since last two months to buy it. First, none of your Exclusive Stores in Surat had the Core i-7 Black colour model with Windows 8. i waited for more than a month to get black colour as only white & red colours were available. Then i was informed by the the Lenovo exclusive store that black colour would be available only in Windows 10, which was supposed to be launched on 15th August. Then had to wait for the Windows 10, core i-7 black colour. After i was fed up waiting for confirmation of delivery from Lenovo exclusive store, i ordered it online from thedostore. The payment got debited from my account but your website showed transaction failure. After submitting many proofs of my bank statement, thedostore accepted their mistake and agreed to ship the laptop.
                          Finally i received it yesterday, after this 2 months long struggle and obstacles. But to my disappointment, the Lenovo laptop did not start. i wonder how did you send it without any predelivery inspection. is there no quality check in Lenovo products before selling it to the customer. The support toll free number said your mother board is not working. i requested him to send a technician to check why its not working.
                          But let me make it very clear that i would not accept a replacement of motherboard. Either you replace this faulty piece with a brand new laptop immediately or please refund my full payment immediately.
                          Why should i suffer or accept a motherboard replacement in laptop which i cannot even start. i have paid full payment for a brand new laptop and not for a replacement in motherboard on day one of receiving of the laptop.
                          What is my fault in all these quality problem of your products. i think my mistake is to select Lenovo.

                          Please solve it immediately.

                            Problem : 1. I had purchased the laptop on 24th August, 2007 and few days back laptop battery suddenly stopped working. It does not charge when connected to the system with the AC adapter. The system used to function only with the AC adapter attached. The system was not function on battery alone.
                            2. Since yesterday the AC adapter also stopped working and machine doesn't start. I had got it checked from Service Center who told that both battery and AC adapter needs to be replaced.

                            Though I am aware that my machines is "out-of-warranty", I read an article (document ID MIGR-69671 dated[protected] on lenovo website (link given below)

                            It says that such batteries are replaced free of cost till 18 months from purchase. Though Its just been 16 months since my purchase and I complete all the criterias for replacement, Lenovo says that THE PROGRAM ENDED in OCT 2008.
                            I think this is unfair as they should continue the programme or put a battery recall. Kindly help.

                            I have faced similar issue with lenovo 3000 N 100, i have discussed more about that. I one liner i would say PLEASE DO NOT BUY LENOVO 3000 N 100 Laptops even if you do DONT REACH THE IBM SERVICE CENTER FOR ANYTHING. THEIR SUPPORT IS REAL WASTE OF MONEY AND THEY GIVE YOU A WORST QUALITY PRODUCT & Service.
                            dont purchase lenovo laptop, it has battery problem.

                              I(Dinesh Kumar Bharti) want to convey you that my brother Mr. Ranjeet had Purchased a Lenevo notebook775754Q(model no-3000 Y410, S/N EB[protected] on dated 28/12/2007 from "networking electronics system co." Lalbagh Lucknow, (invoice no.NH/2599), (supplier's refrence-2599/07-08).
                              After 3 months we found some problem in the webcam of the laptop, we immideately cantacted with NESCO to get rid of this problem but they had given us a toll free number on which we were unable to made contact.My brother Ranjeet Kumar is working abroad so he went back for his work & asked me to sort out this problem when i had made contact with NESCO they told me to come after some time I have also cantacted with sevice centre but they also done same thing to me they have done this for many times, after sometime i got busy with my work on 25/12/2008 the webcam was totally stopped i went to service centre on 26th they told me come tomorrow n when i reached the centre on 27th they said that my warranty had expired & refused to see the laptop..
                              now i m requesting you to please take appropriate action regarding my problem as we have suffered a lot mentally & physicalle due to this.

                                  my laptop's warranty ended a month ago and few days ago the dvd drive was not reading disks properly. As i went to the support center (Latest Information Pvt Ltd) at bhopal, he told me that charges for getting it right will be 1200 INR. cost for replacement will be 5400 INR. I came back and cleaned it with air blow and it started working fine. Is it worth asking for 1200 for just an air blow?

                                    I have purchased a lenovo desktop 5313 1CQ from Aum Infotech. Vyara on 30 oct. 2008 through the invoice no.7326.The product serial no. is 1S53131CQMB12460. I was told that diwali offer is being given by Lenovo company. I completed all the formality on lenovo web for registering my PC and to claim this so called diwali offer. The redemption code of my claim generated is RED[protected]. I sent all the documents required to claim the gift to channel technologies, Noida . Till date no gift has been sent to me by lenovo. This is very harrashing to me that such a big company also cheat the cutomers.Now i suggest every one not to purchase any lenovo product as the company is big cheater.

                                      I had purchased a Desktop pc from a dealer during Diwali. as there is a special offer for buying the PC during diwali .As per the lenovo i would be entitle for free gifts(worth about 4000). after buying the PC i have registered for the gifts by the dealer at website channel-technologies.com, which is a outsource firm of lenovo to supply the gifts. As per the dealer statement i will be intimated at my email id regarding where i have to send the xerox copies of Receipt and orignal cutting of the PC packaging box serial no. till now i have not got any mail from channel technologies, nor any mail from lenovo.when consulted to dealer he told that channel technology is the wholesole authority to distribute gifts. when consulted with channel technologies they refused as the orignal Serial no and xerox receipt not received.they mailed me to consult lenovo further.when consulted with lenovo they refused to talk at this matter saying that u have to read the privacy statement before registering ur PC for gifts.
                                      Can i consider the matter to takeup in consumer court.pls gude me.

                                        I personally sent original bar code with all the documents so it is very hard to believe that they have not received it.Despite several reminder phone calls and emails I have not received any satisfactory response from Lenovo & Channel Technologies.
