Lenovo — Lenovo's damaged handset from the next day of purchasing it.

I bought lenovo a6600 plus (Black) from 'communication hub e-58, main vikas marg, laxmi nagar, delhi - 110092' on 12th of may 2017. And the staff with conviction told me that there are 15 days replacement policy in case the handset turns out to be damaged in any which way within the aforementioned period. But at the same time, they refused to mention any of it on paper, along with the warranty/guarantee policy on the handset, citing reasons like 'it is not needed, the company knows, the warranty comes with the set automatically, etc, etc'.

From the very next day the set turned out to be dysfunctional - it would show every number 'incorrect'. The message tone would ring in the middle of a call and the phone would disconnect to not work again for an hour or so. The message tone would ring otherwise alos without any incoming messages. With all these problems the phone would stay not-in-use for the entire day but would still require charging three times a day for 3 hours at a stretch every time.

I contacted the aforementioned dealer on 22nd of may 2017 to be told that there are still some good 6 days left for me to ask for a replacement, but the dealer won't do anything as i'd have to go to the service centre to get the do certificate (Which i wasn't told at the time of the purchase. I was rather told "madam, hum baithe hain na!" which translates into 'don't worry, madam, we're here in case any problem crops up within the next 15 days').

Now today when i go to the service centre, the centre tells me that they won't do a thing apart from opening up of my set (That is within 10 days of purchasing a handset, i might as well have gone for a second hand set from a junk dealer). And they tell me that i should feel free to contact any police, court in case of any other issue (An answer for this will be sought in the court itself, lenovo wants to be rest assured!). To add insult to injury, they immediately call up the dealer, and the moment i enter the shop the staff is ready to pounce on me and tell me that they won't lift a finger and i should feel free to call the police, the military, the army, amidst a bout of laughter - (Which calls for a case of harassment, i believe?). The staff also now refuses to acknowledge that they gave me good period of 15 days for replacement, and two days prior they also told me that i'm still left with some six days. They feel probably "my ears were ringing".
