[Resolved] Lenskart — refund based on promise made in advertisement | |
Dear Sir, LENSKART IS MAKING FALSE PROMISES AND CHEATING CUSTOMERS ADN THEY ARE VISITING THE LENSKART OUTLET WITH THE IMPRESSION OF GETTING DISCOUNTS AND OFFERS MADE IN THE ADVERTISEMENTS OF LENSKART BUT THEY ARE ALL FALSE WITH THE INTENTION OF CHEATING CUSTOMERS.. Lenskart has put up ADs everywhere regarding their offer of 1+1 at Rs 999. Unfortunately I felt the reality when I visited the nearest showroom at Kakurgachi in Kolkata, when I was told that there is no such offer. However, since I was needing the old specs to be replaced, I visited the showroom on 11 Feb 2019, and selected and ordered a fresh specs, wherein I was offered a only 50% discount on the 2nd set selected, although I am very susceptible, if they have actually provided me any such discount. The total order amounted to Rs 16550/- and it was a full and final payment made to Lenskart as per their policy of full payment to be made in advance. Subsequently, I called the Customer Care of Lenskart at[protected], when a gentleman by the name Mr. Aditya picked up the call, and continued to advocate the matter saying that 1+1 offer is valid for customers who are Gold Members and which needs to be purchased and which is available at a price if Rs 590/- membership fee. Mr. Aditya further continued to say that the second product taken by Gold Members shall be offered totally free of cost. I inquired where is such a matter mentioned in the Ad's and why I was not informed as such, during placing the order in the store, and why was I not provided with the offer during my purchase, as because, as per his version, I should be getting a refund as the 2nd spec. piece should be totally free, of which I was told that only 50% discount has been provided. Unable to justify himself, Mr. Aditya continued to say, that, he is canceling the order. But when told that I am asking for a clarity, and a refund and not a cancellation, I was put on hold for about 40 Minutes, on the con-call with the call-on-hold music playing in the background. I was coaxed in disgust to disconnect the call and call the customer care in the same number again, when another gentleman by the name Mr. Mukesh picked up the call, and on asked why such a behavior was done and the call was put on hold for so long during my previous attempt, after a short inquiry, Mr. Mukesh came back saying that there is record of only 7 minutes of the call being put on hold, that he can see in the system, which is of-course totally false. However, when inquired on the same clarity regarding my order value, Mr. Mukesh gave a fresh version, and said that this offer is not applicable for multi-power, and that there is a small star mark in the ad's that complies to T&C applied, which implies to this. This is a very cheap and a sly means of cheating the prospective costumers of Lenskart. People come to Lenskart and book their order making full advance payment, only trusting Lenskart, and I am issuing this statement on public interest and to create awareness against such means of cheating policies that are being done by Lenskart, and to make all prospective customers aware against this un-professionalism attitude of Lenskart. People should stop buying their products off-front, so that they are compelled to follow the law of the land, and be professional, and not cheat people in this manner. If there is any such policy, which is not known to the outlet, it must be made clear, and adequate refund must be made to customers who have raised this issue, without any hassle.
