[Resolved] LG Electronics — Poor warranty service and ignorance of customers. | |||
My phone Nexus 5 got broken all out of a sudden. It switched off by itself and I could not get it on again. Google logo was blinking and that's it. Hard reboot wouldn't start. I contacted LG rep and they advised me to send it to Dynafix in order to repair it under guarantee. After 2 weeks they sent price specification EUR300. It was the price of my phone 2 years (!) ago. They said there was water damage so guarantee wouldn't help. I never dropped my phone into water, neither spilled anything on it. So I really think they made up this reason in order to avoid guarantee coverage. The other 2 solutions that were offered: to receive it back unrepaired for EUR36 or leave it to them (EUR0). One more important thing. Before sending it to Dynafix I brought my phone to a local repair shop around the corner and they said it could be fixed for EUR65. They didn't even mention any water. But I thought it would be much better to repair it with an official dealer... It's a shame that LG cooperates with this shady company and I really regret I followed LG representative's advice. It's been more than a month and I still haven't received my phone back. Dynafix doesn't reply to my e-mails and social media support on LG's Facebook is not being helpful at all. I'm a very dissatisfied customer and I'll never consider buying any LG product in the future unless I get this sorted.
