In 2013 i bought new led (Model number ln4900), yesterday it stopped working. Audio is coming but no video, as it is out of warranty i asked local technician to check it who confirmed that problem is with the invertor board at the back which needs to be replaced and cost will be around 3500 but because there could be possibility of faulty spare part installed by local guy i denied and today morning went to lg service center (In chankya place, opposite to c1 janakpuri). Technician saw the product and without even opening it told me that led light panel needs to be replaced which will cost 12000. I asked him why not only the faulty component be replaced rather that replacing the whole board which is costing 8000 more to me. He confirmed that as off now lg is providing those spare parts for few models only not for the my specific model. Now my question is why these things are not disclosed at the time of sale, if you sell the product you need to ensure that spare parts are also available. Why should i unnecessary pay 8000, if that 4000 rs component can resolve the issue. Why should i suffer because of their incapability. Till now i was big fan of lg products and in my home using all appliances for this brand, but now really disappointed. Moreover online link they have for consumer grievance is not working too. Please urgently look in to it and help me.
