Address: Chennai, Tamil Nadu

This is one of the worst hospitals ever, I will never ever recommend this hospital or the doctors from this hospital to anyone I know from the US or to my colleagues/family in India. My aunt, Ms Moham
was admitted to your hospital and your doctors nearly killed her. She was admitted for an investigation into her stomach problems. My aunt is very weak, weighs 35 kgs had intestitial lung disease and had a back injury few days ago. The medication she took for the back injury caused stomach bleeds. That is the reason she was admitted to this hospital to check her stomach bleed. The doctors were clearly told and informed about her current medications and her issues with her ILS ( lung disease), they tried to force an endoscopy tube and caused severe breathing difficulties. The doctors(Dr. Rajkumar) are clueless and arrogant and indulge in nonsense talk regarding "maya/ religion". Subsequently even after knowing her weakness and condition forced her stay without food for 12 hrs for a barium test. Additionally, With full kowledge of her back injury they tried to force her to walk and bend causing further pain to her. They don’t know to schedule tests with least pain to the patient, they made her sit for 4 hrs in line before determined if the barium test equipment was available. This is disgusting. Going forward, I have instructed to my family to take legal help and my family will have unlimited funds to pursue such a course if such a case occurs.

This is what happens when you watch TV advertisements and decide on where to undergo treatment
why Mr.Vijaya kanth not taking any action now he a responsible Opposition leader. ( remember Ramana Movie )
DONT ADMIT HERE - I would have given negative stars if it exist. I took my beloved mother to this hospital due to heart attack for the 1st time, they given a worst treatment. They kept for 2 days in ICU and she is no more in 3rd day. Main motto of this hospital is money, money, only money. There is no neurology department available in this hospital, after a mild attack to check brain condition they brought neurologist from outside after very prolonged waiting hours. We were very fed-up with their worst services. I admitted my mother and waited for almost a 5 to 6 hours for neurologist, he came very lethargic. He said we can wait and check her condition after 2 days, even without taken any scan or EEG nothing. They wont give any treatment until you push them to treat the patient. If there is any emergency, better take the patient to MMM hospital immediately or else they will send your beloved one to the burial/cremation ground located in-front of the hospital. We wanted to move my mother to the near by hospital in emergency situation due to worst treatment they provided, we notified in the morning they took almost 6 hours to clear the settlement. I lost my beloved mother, because of their worst service.
My sincere request to the forum is, Never ever go there. The worst ever experience for the patients and their attenders. The facilities are worst. They call themselves internationally fit, but they have very old facility types. Money swindling people with no ethics that's necessary for doctors.
I had admitted my dad for an open heart surgery as it was promised that will be done by the famous dr himself. But it was not done by him but by another Dr.Madhushankar (this same guy who was asked to leave due to some issues earlier and no one knows how Mr. Cherian could ask him to come back). There were so many procedures done on my dad without our knowledge as the daily bills only show us as some procedures were done like balloon blast etc.
My question here is, after an open heart surgery why will the doctors make him undergo a balloon procedure equal to placing a stent. I understand that, the skill of a surgeon lies in the way a patient is recuperating in post operative care.
In fact during the patient visits, Dr. Madhushankar who did the operation never visited my dad and no proper treatment was provided and the operation created sepsis in him. Most unclean place as mosquitoes can be seen breeding in the ceiling of the private ward toilet.
They have very lean staffing for nurses (night shifts- Single lady nurse to care for a general ward and few other wards) and no contingency plans (during monsoon no proper clothing was provided to the patients as they were running short of the ICU patient gowns). They could hardly make any difference as they were busy making money by letting out their operating theatre for movie shooting during the weekends. I had asked the Dr. Cherian a couple of times about my dad's recovery for which he snapped as though they are trying their best to get him out of the situation, but why should this man snap at me for his doctors mistakes as if we are taking the treatment free of cost. His son is much better to interact.
Tamil movie Miruthan, was shot there and one of the lift was used only by the shooting team. The generator that was used for shooting was emitting the (poisonous for the open heart surgery patient who is undergoing treatment even after 18 days) smoke which got into my dad's room as the window was not properly closing due to some beading issue with the window sill. This smoke created suffocation for my dad the same evening and he was again taken into ICU for treatment and he never made it, where in he was in and out of ICU for more than 36 days and breathed his last.
The last moment too they only said that we have to be by his side and allowed to be with him, but no other so called god of heart surgeries was never there to even tell us the truth as to why so many procedures were done on him and what exactly happened to him. We spent more than 15 lakhs for the treatment and lost my dad too. In fact patient attenders who make noise of such issues were paid at lest partial amount to shut their mouth, when they took the body of their beloved but we couldn't even think of such a situation.
I was really taken back when Mr. Cherian himself saw my dad in pain even after 10 days of the operation and called Dr. Madhushankar to check what had he done on the patient. . The phones in the patient ward doesn't work most of the time and their way of treating the staffs is also very bad.
I had a terrible experience in this hospital.I was pregnant for 10 weeks. Suddenly I started bleeding, went to life line hospital in Perungudi as it was near to my office.First they told me to register. It took me half an hour to finish the registration procedure. There were no Gynaecologists at that time. They made me wait for 1 hr and sent me to the Lab for an ultrasound. The doctors in the lab looked inexperienced.Just 2 mins after the scan I had an abortion. They admitted me in the labor ward. They asked me for cash for some tests. I did not have enough money. I said that I have called my in-laws and they will be there in another 10 mins.I showed them my office id card. But they made me pay with my debit card.

The doctor just visited me only for 5 mins. After I got discharged it took nearly 1 week to get my Discharge summary..that too after calling them several times. They sent the fetal tissue to some scan center and said it will take 3 months to get the report. After 3 months, I called the hospital more than 20 times. There were no proper response.Suddenly they said that we took the tissue at the time of discharge and they were not responsible. Then I gave them the receipt number.

After 2 days, I got the report(Duplicate copy) from them
Really unprofessional, on fever they ask to get admitted to hospital and make you undergo tests.
After undergoing test, duty doctor Samuel says dengue is there when cross questioned he leaves abruptly and another doctor says it's just viral fever.
You yourself can decide the state of affairs!

They really do not know value of staffs. They just behind money not for care of clients. Mail the director with the help of a lawyer.

Never ever go to this hospital unless you are fed up of this world and want to die soon.Rajkumar will do surgery even for complications that do not require surgery. He has good skills(only in english and not in surgery). Before surgery, he will assure you that it is like cakewalk for him to do this surgery.blah.blah but after surgery, if the patient's condition worsens, he will back away and say that the complication happened due to some other issues. He is greedy like a wolf and please do not fall in his trap. All his staffs are also incompetent. They include one srilankan guy called aadhavan and one lady by name neha. The ICUin their hospital is a big joke. One doctor(whose name is also raja) can be seen smoking in the carparking during his night shift.God only can help the patients who are under his care in the sterile environment.

I could see some posts appreciating the doctor and I strongly suspect they are from the doctor himself or his agents. Please stay away and stay alive.

This is the worst hospital run by cheaters.Rajkumar will always insst on laproscopic surgery just because he want add his name in some record books for the most number of laprascopic surgeries performed by anyone. He will entice you with attractive words but after the surgery, if something goes wrong(which happens always), he will treat you like a dog and will try to avoid you.You will not believe me for the following phrase.i admitted my dad there and on the same day he expired, 3 more patients who were performed surgeries by rajkumar died.

This hospital is similar to the one shown in ramana movie.they will treat even dead bodies for damn money

I only wish I had seen your comments before; I took my father to Lifeline, as he was having loose motion for two days. The doctor's asked him to be admitted immediately. For two days they gave lots of medicines, by which time, the loose motion stopped, but his stomach started bulging. Dr. Rajkumar advised us that colostomy has to be done imdtly or else his stomach might burst. The colostomy was done;he was kept in ICU for a week and in ventilattor. We were told he is not breathing by himself & he needed ventilator... Finally, after 1 week, he was shifted to the room on an evening. He was doing well; I left him with my mom the next day morning & went to work. I got a call from my mom to come to hospital immdtly. Later we learnt that he got a stroke; this happened around 4:30PM, while he was given a physio therapy. It took the hospital staff about 10 mins to revive him. He was breathless for nearly 10 mins. 6 to 7 mins was lost in the room itself. The doctor attending was yelling at the nurses about where the items were kept (baloon?). He was taken to the ICU and was recovered there; He was again confined in the ICU for another 10 days; during this period we were told that he is not breathing himself & he is not able to recognize & all kind of nonsense. Accidentally I went to see a doctor in ICU early in the morning; the doctor was not around inthe ICU. I went near my dad and called him; he was immediately able to recognize me; his face was full of emotion; I had a suspicion and moved him to apollo and they informed us that he is able to breathe by himself. He was in Appollo for another 15 days, where they recovered him well. Now he is in home with us, unable to move, completely bed ridden, he also has a tracheostomy; unable to speak; we are struggling to know what he wants, whether it hurts him. It was tool late for us to take any leagal action against lifeline; but we trust in God and know that justice will be done, sooner or later.

I dont know whether justice would ever be done for the crimes committed against honest and innocent by the criminals in this KALI. BUt it is over fate to undergo such trauma in our life time woth over loved ones. My fatehr died at his Jinkyard like ICU at RIGID on 21.12. 2005. We thought he was honest and sincere. but VERY VERY EXPENSIVE withno matching services. Now we here moare about his other side too. IF god does exist let him prove that hHE is on the side of DHARMA.
ur absoletely correct he is a of ..i went to him for stomach problems. He told me to do Anal sphintcher operation then only ur problems get cured.. He did n't investigate or tests me.. at first he gave Rabeprozole tablets for 30 days after that he gave H-Pylori kits(That too no tests for H-Pylori bacteria)for 14 days .. he asked me after one and half month, i told problem in my stool i feel hard during motion..then he told u must undergo operation with out tests or even seen ...we must kill these kind of holes. After that i consult with several doctors they told that no need of operation and all.
Dr. Rajkumar is a publicity seeking individual. All they care about is proving to all the patients and their visitors that they rescued each of their patients from the clutches of death. I hate the fact that he meets 4-5 patients together. They make 2 patients wait in the room as the doctor is talking to the third. There is no privacy in the hospitals. And the nurses sing tales of all the celebrities who have been there for cosmetic surgeries. So even the VIP's secrets are compromised. So you can assume what is the case of a normal citizen. Maybe, in Government hospitals in rural india, doctors will discuss one patient's case in front of other patients. But not in such a upmarket high class hospital that charges you three times hte fee a normal hospital does. Dr. Rajkumar will tell you that you can walk, run, climb, swim, trek do almost anything after any surgery...and they stitch you so badly that it leaves scars for life. Only stitches done by Dr. Rajkumar have become ugly scars. All other operation scars healed beautifully.

All the doctor and the staff care about is publicity. They want the whole waiting room to know a patient's history and then applaud them for treating that patient. This is disgusting.
ya, gentle man, this for ur information, he is the great surgeon chucked from the Stanley medical college and hospital for his inability, Patients are patients attender should be aware before they get admitted or admit somebody in any hospital, Hospitals infrastructure and white girls in the hospital is not going to save ur life, check one important thing whether is capable of handling the complicated cases / patients ...
Dr Rajkumar... he is a sucker. Always wants to suck money. No other motive.
Dear Indians...please please dont go to LIFE LIINE hospital. Doctors there will kill the patient.
I have filed a case for medical negligence before National Consumer Commission against Rajkumar. it is due to end now. If you have a complaint before 2 years, I can help you. you must file a case within two years of cause of action.

Good to you sir. You were by brother's professor at National College. If you can share the details of your case that would be of great help. My father died at his antic like junkyard aks ICU on 21.12.2005. I thought he was honest and sincere compared to K. Narasinghareddy of Vijaya now at Apollo and Mugalivakkam Kedhar Hospital Dr.SRIDHAR. But later reports telling me different stories too.
It was misdiagnosis for me right from the start. They don't value life out there when somebody can be too f&^%^&* RIGID! They took test after test. They treated me as an in-patient. They told me that which was obvious and I of-course had very high IgE .

I once was an asthmatic you see. But when I was rushed to the hospital for my syncope like condition, the doctor down there said that I was too stressed up and said that it was all in my mind! How dumb and lame of her! They even wanted their psychologist in their panel to evaluate me! They certainly think too much but only talk too much, and they did very very little to help a poor guy like me . They never take a case history, or never looked into my case history well.
Really unprofessional, on fever they ask to get admitted to hospital and make you undergo tests.
After undergoing test, duty doctor Samuel says dengue is there when cross questioned he leaves abruptly and another doctor says it's just viral fever.
You yourself can decide the state of affairs!

LIFE AFTER DEATH – real life (rather death) experience

This is not a philosophical statement on one's life after death, this is about how my wife, Padma died in a hospital in Chennai. Whatever I have seen only in movies so far, is experienced by me.

We were living in the UK for few years; our family includes me, my wife (Padma), and our 7 yr old son and 8months old daughter. My wife had a symptom of ventral hernia (slightly bulged abdomen), we had consulted General Physician and Surgeon in the UK and advice was that she needed a surgery to have a mesh to fix the problem with a few weeks rest. We were also told that this is not an emergency and it can be done anytime though earlier is good. In fact the surgeon whom we consulted in UK talked about an example of a lady having this done for 30 years of the symptom. My wife did not have any specific pain or something except a small discomfort of bulgy abdomen (like a 2 months pregnant lady) and she was in her normal routine of taking care of our children, taking our son to school, household work, etc.

We were planning for Christmas vacation in India in Dec 2007, we thought we will consult some 'good' doctors over in India and take a decision of when we will do the surgery if required and possibly felt doing in India is good because of family support. We have got a reference of Dr J S Rajkumar of Lifeline hospital and we booked an appointment to meet him.

We landed in Chennai on 14th Dec 2007 for a three weeks vacation, met Dr Rajkumar at his city hospital (Rigid hospital) in Chetput on 15th Dec 2007 (Sat) at about 730pm. We have explained him the background, shown him all the comments o[censored]K surgeon, medical reports related to my wife pregnancy, deliveries, etc (she had delivered both our children normally). After few minutes of assessment Dr Rajkumar told us this hernia requires laparoscopic surgery and we can do this next day itself. We were little concerned initially of getting this surgery done the very next day (particularly we were still not out of jet lag and she was feeding our baby) and got convinced with the 'salesy' words given by the Doctors. To quote a comment from the Doctor "she will run in two days time and can lift two suitcases and you can return to UK as per your plan on 3rd Jan 2008"). Also Dr Rajkumar told us that he will be on travel for 3 days from 17th Dec and moreover he was teaching Post Graduates on 16th Dec about laparoscopic surgery and let us get it done on 16th Dec.

Then my wife was put into all sorts of equipments in the hospital (in the name of assessment); blood, urine, ECG, MRI and so on and the tests were conducted till about 11pm on 15th Dec. In fact they have opened the labs after closing hours and got the test done and handed over the test results to us. They had some problem in the ECG and we were told that ECG can be done on the next day at Lifeline hospital.

We were asked to report to Rigid hospital at 5am in the morning. Think of it, we went our residence around midnight and my wife had rush on some food to keep compliance on the fasting 8 hrs prior to surgery. After preparing for the hospital visit that night and a couple of hours sleep (3 hrs or so) we reached Rigid hospital on 16th morning at 5am or so and from there we were transported by an 'ambulance' to Lifelife hospital in Perungudi (outskirts of Chennai).

We reached the hospital at 630am, paid some initial advance for the surgery and we were given a room. Padma went through some more basic checks like height, weight, etc. Padma was taken to the operation theatre at about 10am in the morning on 16th Dec. After the laparoscopic procedure she was moved to post operative ward at about 12 noon and I have met her in the afternoon to say a small hello when she gained consciousness. Dr Rajkumar met us on 16th Dec afternoon and he in fact congratulated me for successful surgery and said he has used proceed mesh (costly one) and advised his staff to move Padma to normal ward in the evening as she had to feed her baby. But, Padma was moved to normal ward only on 17th Dec morning, she was on IV fluids as per normal post operative procedure.

Padma started to develop some fluids in her abdomen which duty doctors / surgeons have 'rightly' observed. She was put in some series of tests on 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th – tests include multiple ultra sound, multiple CT scans, pricked her abdomen and taken fluids, she had a long tube through her nose overnight to collect fluid for tests, etc. We were told the fluid is normal after surgery and it will be alright after she passes stool, etc.

In the meanwhile Dr Rajkumar returned from his travel and seen Padma on 19th on 20th Dec evening along with other surgeons. He made an assessment and he told me that he might want to do one more laparoscopic surgery to find out what is the fluid about. He wanted to do a surgery on 20th Dec evening itself, but he could not proceed as the hospital has given solid food that afternoon – hence anaesthesia could not be given. (lack of co-ordination among departments, time lost here, may be she could have survived if they have did the surgery on 20th itself)

On 20th Dec night, fluid started oozing from Padma's abdomen stitches, after the duty Doctor's assessment she was shifted to ICU. We really did not know what complication she developed in the ICU.

On 21st Dec (Friday) morning around 830am I was called in to the ICU to convey that they are going to perform a surgery and I had to sign "high risk consent", they were telling this in front of my wife (just think of a patient hearing this before the surgery). I was just shocked at that and had no options to sign whatever they wanted. I said "all the best" (my last conversation with my wife) to my wife and she was taken to Operation Theatre.

While I was discussing with the Doctors at ICU, the cashier in the hospital kept on calling me on my mobile. When I met the cashier he asked for Rs.60, 000 to be paid immediately and I told him take Rs.40, 000 and will give you the balance later in the day. Bang a reply came, "you have to pay the money to for me to give clearance for surgery". When I expressed my unhappiness about the comment, he insisted for me to sign a piece of paper saying that I will give the money later in the day. (What money minded, in-human attitude!)

We had no news from the hospital on their own about the surgery, I had enquired the staff nurse and visited my wife in the ICU and learnt that she had a diagnostic laparotomy (open surgery) and there was hole in the intestine which was fixed.

We have meet Dr Rajkumar at about 3:30pm on 21st Dec and understood that there was a duodenum rupture and he has fixed it, at the same time he removed the mesh which was fixed on 16th Dec. She was also paralysed and put on ventilator as she was waking up. He explained it was between life threatening and beauty so they addressed the duodenum rupture problem. What we were puzzled were, how did the rupture happen? for that explanation given were
- it could be due to ulcer. My wife had no evidence o[censored]lcer in the past. Explanation given was 40%+ cases o[censored]lcer is silent and there will be no symptom (I lack medical knowledge to appreciate this)
- it could be due to post operative stress (so many test post operation without any explanation of what we were doing could have created the stress on Padma is my argument)

On the same night (21st Dec) at about 930pm, I was called in to the ICU and Doctors conveyed that my wife condition is critical – her pulse is high, BP is low and they were attending to her. I insisted on talking to Dr Rajkumar immdly, but they refused to connect me to him at first and finally managed to speak to him. Dr Rajkumar came in around midnight and explained that the lungs are getting affected (shown X-ray of white patches on the lower portion of lungs) and she was the most serious patient in the whole hospital that time and they were trying their best. He also said, it will need another 12-24 hours of observation before they can say anything.

We were completely panicked and just waiting outside the ICU and praying for Padma's recovery. We had to argue with the security outside the ICU to gain access to the Doctors to know her situation (no courtesy from the security personnel, who just don't understand the situation)

At about 4:30am in the morning, my friend gained access the Doctors in the ICU and came out with the low face to tell me that Padma's condition is worsened. Again I tried to reach Dr Rajkumar and the hospital says they don't have his contact number (just can't understand how they can behave like this). Finally after some hue and cry Dr Rajkumar came on line to tell me that he is not God and don't think his visit can do any thing different. I cried, begged him to come over to give some ideas to his team to recover Padma. He came over at around 6am and said they are trying everything possible, etc; but her end came quickly.

The end came to our beloved Padma at 6:30am on 22nd Dec, throwing the entire family to rude shock and a life time sorrow. Our "LIVES AFTER DEATH" of Padma has changed for ever.

I can now think of so many questions retrospectively;

1. Why did the surgeon perform the surgery the very next day of consultancy, that too for a non-emergency one like this? (Padma had just travelled many miles, she was not even out of jet lag.) Was it for money? Was it for them to get one more sample for their post grads training?

2. Did the Doctors made proper assessment on Padma's fitness for surgery, frankly did they even had time to go through the reports, after the tests till 11pm on the previous night for next day 8am surgery (particularly when the reports were with us till 730am on the day of surgery).

3. Patient communication and counselling. Isn't it important to communicate to patient and their relatives on the development of patient condition (fluid collection started from the next day of laparoscopic)

4. Did the absence of Dr Rajkumar for three days post the first surgery is one of the reason for this disaster? Were the other Doctors not able to diagnose or take a decision? Were they waiting for Dr Rajkumar return?

5. What is the real reason for duodenum perforation? My wife never had any history o[censored]lcer to the best of my knowledge. Why did the hospital take so much of time to react (5 days after surgery) when such a crucial thing like perforation has happened.

6. Was there any issue in the initial laparoscopic procedure which has caused the perforation?

7. Careless attitude by hospital staff? – my wife sex was recorded as "Male" initially and corrected after I told them. The staff was not even apologetic for this, he rather asked me "why didn't you inform". Can't he make out with the name Padma. Think of it, if he has changed the blood group from A+ to B+; that is it!!

8. Will anyone with basic common sense ask for high risk signature in front of the patient? I was asked to sign just minutes before surgery in front of my wife.

9. Is the hospital money minded?: They were demanding money on gun point almost.
a. Prior to the first surgery the cashier said please give Rs.30000/- more for him to give clearance for surgery
b. When my wife going for second surgery I was told by the cashier again, please give Rs.60000/- for clearance for surgery
c. The hospital charged more than what was told for initial laparoscopic, without even communicating to me increase in charges
d. The final "bill" was just on letter head, without mention of currency, invoice number, etc. I had to insist on a proper invoice later.
e. I was given to understand that they even made arguments on ambulance charges to send my wife dead body back home.!! (making money on the dead body also)

10. Why the hospital did not made me to talk to my wife when she gained consciousness after the second surgery? If not anything else, I could have held her hand. Even a criminal gets an opportunity to communicate his/her last wishes. Am I or my wife worse than?

11. FALSE reports - After all these hospital sends me false reports (on Jan 11, 2008 – three weeks after my wife's death) :

a. They had mentioned she had LSCS (caesarean section) and large scar due to LSCS. When my wife delivered both the babies normally, how does one record as caesarean and how there will be scar when there was no caesarean?
b. The hernia was mentioned "incisional hernia" – when there was no incision on her body how the hernia is categorised as incisional? It was actually ventral hernia. Don't think one can replace any term with any term just like that!
c. Most importantly, the surgery was performed on 16th Dec 2007, the report said 17th dec 2007

12. MISSING REPORTS - From the hospital records Doctors notes were missing for 16th and 17th Dec. The first report is available for 17th Dec at 8:36pm. How come there are no Doctors' notes for about 36 hours after the surgery? Isn't it fishy? Did something went wrong on the first laparoscopic procedure?

Our entire family is still mourning and trying to reconcile the fact that our Padma is no more. My 7 year old son is aware that is Mom is not there, does he understand? My 1 year old daughter is too young to know what has happened. What will her questions be in future?

My sincere advice to all is
a) Do not get carried away by advertisement / TV shows / big buildings
b) Please do not rush
c) Do your own due diligence, particularly when things are not an emergency
d) Try and understand the medical terms, do research prior
e) Please ask questions, at every stage.
f) Don't say "I can spend anything"
g) Know patient rights

I am still not convinced that Padma has died after a 'simple' laparoscopic surgery? I am deeply upset of what has happened to Padma and for what is happening to us. What I could have done (or not done) which would have prevented this. What is that we can do to prevent this in future for others!!!

Please join me in making awareness to others. While India is trying to woo many international Customers in the name of 'medical tourism'; first let the authorities make regulation on the health care system and take care of Indian people first.

Read others experience as well

Our medical system must understand the differences between MEDICINE – TREATMENT and HEALTHCARE. What we get most of the time is medicine for the symptom while we need healthcare.

Complaint marked as Resolved
Lifeline Hospital customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
Hi,

It was during 2nd week of Aug 08. My friend had a mild stomach pain for a long time and we went to meet the doctor. The doctor referred us to Lifline hospitals since there was a doubtful symptoms for an appendicitis. We reached the hospital and immediately my friend was taken to the emergency ward. After consultation by Dr.J S Rajkumar, they asked us to get admitted and take up a CT scan. By this time the stomach pain had reduced and it was nearly normal. So when we hesitated to get admitted, they said it is 90% confirmed appendicitis, and only the CT scan can confirm it. We had to beleive the doctors and so my friend was admitted. The CT scan was completed and they started giving IV drip fluids and antibiotics. We were waiting for a long time for the scan results to come and after running several times, we got the results and it showed that my friend didnt have any problem and was normal. But even then, they did not stop the drips until morning and we were sitting unnecessarily for the whole night and until next afternoon for the doctor to come and discharge. After some quarrel and arguments, the doctor came around 1 pm for morning consultation of the patients. He said we can be discharged. When we asked the hospital people for getting discharged, they said the isurance is not cleared yet and we need to wait for one more day. Finally after arguing they asked us to pay the bill and so we can leave immediately. We asked for the bills and it was given for Rs. 13, 000/- plus medical expenses. We argued and asked whether they charge 13, 000 Rs for a simple stomach pain. But in vain and we had to make all the settlements after so many quarrels and arguments. Its so pathetic. Is there anyone who came help the middle class people from these type of pathetic hospitalizations??
I feel sorry for you. But it is little exacerated story. As if the money is taken for stomach ache. They have taken ct scan, I hope they would have done some blood tests, obvisiously nursing fee and consultation fee, Room charges whether it is 3 hrs or more 1 day room charge plus drug charge. Dont take it personally. I have lost my friend just making fun on the doctor for his advise to take ct for a small fall he had. We were under the impression that he is advising that for revenue generation. We lost him because of that type of half knowledge we had. So from that day on i stopped comenting like that. The lesson is we should not be worrying if the result comes as negative. We should be happy that the doubt is cleared and we are out of the problem.(in your case suppose it would have been the appendics and it would have got burst, it would have been life threatning . That time people like us will say we could have spent for ct or ultrasound scan) This is my view i dont know how you people are taking. The insurance people would not pay for investigation alone, unless you are admitted in hospital and the tests should be justified. Since i am in health care insurance side i expressing my views. I am sorry if you feel that i have hurt your views.
sitaram.
I am a resident of Adayar, Chennai, India, aged 40, Entrepreneur, mother of two grown up girls, in my family, my father, daughter, husband, brother and myself have all undergone surgeries performed by Dr.J S Rajkumar, at his newly founded Life Line Hospital. Perungudi.( My father underwent the surgery four years ago at Rigid Hospital, Kilpauk.)

Recently less than a month ago my mother underwent a vertibroplasty and my aunt got her wrist fixed with a supportive plate.

My or rather our experience at the hospital was that of a very pleasant one. Always felt that we were being well taken care of. During my brief stay at the hospital during these occasions, got to see and understand, that Dr.JS Rajkumar, is doing so much for the less unfortunate counterparts. Is so passionate about his work, that I decided to help him in his noble quest to support the mankind in what little ways I could.

Dr. J S Rajkumar, is a finest of fine human being, never capable of any malice, pettiness
or harm to any one. He performs each surgery, each procedure with the same care and precision.I would say, He has infact sacrificed all his personal comforts and desire to relieve the pain of the suffering patients. Such is his commitment.

I am surprised when such a person is projected as someone trying to work for a monetary gains. He runs a hospital needs money to pay his overheads, Bankers, sure they wont be benevolent to waive off the payment due, if he were to say that he didn’t charge his patients, or treated them at a subsidized rate. But despite this, the truth is, he does waive off a lot of expenses incurred by his patients, if he understands that the person is financially backward and cant pay. Never has hospital refused treatment to anyone coming there, quoting monetary reasons for denial. If the hospital staff demands money as a deposit, prior to any treatment, it is a routine procedure at every hospital. Wonder why Life line Hospital is singled out in this aspect? I know not of a hospital that admits patients without taking any money as deposit. Leave the hospital, even the hotels don’t give you admission without deposit.

Dr J S Rajkumar is a very sensitive person, his sensitivity and his human touch has made his so special and dear to his patients. Who consider themselves a part of his family extended family. Indeed mine is one such family!

There are few who look the other way or wont help, even when you seek them.
There are a few to whom you need to only narrate a woe and the help /solution is offered.
Any one associated with Dr J S Rajkumar, with immediately say that he belongs to the second category. I am proud to be associated with him.

The hospital perfoms free surgeries on poor, under previledged children with congenial heart problems, I on my part has try to support the programme in all possible ways.
Also try to be a part of any philantropic acitivities of the Hospital.

I am pained beyond limit when a person whom the hospital out of moral responsibility tries to support turns against! I think it must have been accepted as a way of life by Life Line Hospital, I guess, as it is the case at most of the time!

Dr. Rajkumar, called me six months ago, stating that Mr. DuraiVel, is going through a traumatic time after losing his wife, while recovering from a surgery ath the Hospital. Requesting me to counsel him and to be of support him and his children. That is how I know Mr.Duraivel.

I met him, spoke to him, requested my close find a psychologist to counsel him, I tried to do my might, was in touch with him not only because I was instructed by the hospital, but also because Mr.Duraivel is a fine person. I still cant reconcile that, He can go out of the way to tarnish the image of an institution and a person who genuinely wished him well and tried to support him. I still feel he is venting his anger and is doing all this in an emotional outburst!

In fact, Mr.Duraivel has found a residence close to where we live(four blocks away from my friends place), because he wanted reside some where close to where we live.(That is what he told us, as his parents live at the other end of the city).

Durai, if not for Life Line Hospital, we wont even know that we existed ? would we?

Why did I get in touch with you? When people don’t have time for their own family and friends, because that is the regard I have for Dr. J S Rajkumar, which was built after seeing his selfless service and care he shares for the humanity as a whole!

I want to share this with all. This is my personal observation.

1.Dr J S Rajkumar, can turn into a Super Specialist, and lead a hassle free life, with far superior name and fame, had he chosen to do so.Instead he chose to serve the society, though the hospital is a commercial Organisation, the trust he has formed in the name of his Grandfather, Rajarathinam Medical and educational Foundation, supports the poor patients admitted into the hospital in a large way.

2. I am not trying to say that the hospital never commits a mistake, but they are few and not garve. The Management constantly endeovers to correct themselves.

3. Dr. J S Rajkumar, is a man who wants to constantly update his hospital with the latest technical advancement, so that he can provide superior health care and perform precision surgeries.

4. The list of what Dr. J S Rajkumar has done: free cancer treatment, treating HIV patients, free medical camps/surgeries, free cardiac surgeries, SNATCHING MANY PATIENTS FROM THE CLAWS OF DEATH ……. The list is very long.

5. I have personally seen so many of his patients infact, some, on whom others have given up hope, being successfully treated and cured .They, Thank Dr.J S Rajkumar, earnestly for having gifted them life.

6. But when I analyse it a little closely, I understand most trains make it safely each day to their destination, this never gets reported as News. But occasionally when a train derails it hits the Headlines. But then, Just because a train has derailed occasionally, for whatever reason, people have not stopped commuting by it, or even thought twice before Boarding a train.

7.Dear Durai, didn’t you at one point of time say that you understood and also the Hospital has clarified that this is not their mistake, and was just your own ill fate? Now why then are you saying something different? Why so much bitterness?

8. Durai. Negativity never gives happiness on a long run, tarnishing someone’s image may not be the right way to vent your feelings. Use this energy outpour to do some productive work, for that matter, join me in supporting Dr. J S RajKumar in his noble Quest to help the humanity. I take this liberty of telling you this, as I am really your well wisher and Believe me, Once you associate yourself with him, you will have a different story to narrate my friend.

9. My write up may not be as sensational as what Mr. DuariVel had to tell you. For my principles has taught me that, nothing is a better sin than keeping quite and refraining from speaking what is right at times when it matters most. Concerned and worried about the consequences of speaking out.
Hi Supriya are u Dr.J S Rajkumar agent !!
"The list of what Dr. J S Rajkumar has done: free cancer treatment, treating HIV patients, free medical camps/surgeries, free cardiac surgeries, SNATCHING MANY PATIENTS FROM THE CLAWS OF DEATH ……. The list is very long."

Is he a fool to do all these as 'free' SERVICE?

SRIPRIYA, Please understand one thing: NOTHING IS FREE IN THIS WORLD. The person will have some intention behind his deeds. Name, Fame, Money or some other target.

Duty is important for any person. Nobody should do mistakes in that. Nobody can justify a person's mistakes by the number of corrects he has done.
Dear Friends

REAL LIFE (rather good) EXPERIENCE-LIFELINE HOSPITAL CHENNAI.

I am shocked to see such a blog against lifeline and Dr.Rajkumar.

This is a story about my cousin Master Saran Prasad.

A year back he had spells of giddiness and severe headache. Local Doctors were treating him symptomatically. One day all of sudden while he was playing he fainted and rushed to one of the big hospital in Salem. They did all investigation and diagnosed as cancer from the adrenal gland which is situated above kidneys. The whole family was depressed and we took him to one of the pioneer cancer institute in Chennai. They again did all investigations and finally suggested surgery and said survival is poor and its high risk procedure.

Team of doctors opened his abdomen and they were shocked to see that the cancer tumour has extended and further continuing surgery may result in death on the table. So the procedure was abandoned.

Doctors informed us that he will survive only for few weeks. The whole family was sad and my cousin also knows that he will die shortly. We came to know the surgical skill of Dr.Rajkumar and consulted him.
After detailed examination and going through all the reports he said there is a remote chance to save my cousin. He and his team did for 6 hrs surgery and removed tumour completely.

It was a second birth for my cousin. Now, he is living happily which he wouldn’t have got but for Dr.Rajkumar and Lifeline. So it is really agonizing to see such blind accusations against a doctor who saved life of a young boy and many others. Many good events by Doctors are not recognized but one unfortunate event which is quiet acceptable in medical practice has been blown out of proportion.

This may set a dangerous precedence where even a minor complication may be blown out of proportion which I am sure it will have a negative Doctor patient relationship.

IYAPPAN
I want to request only onething, Before going to Hospital please try to enquire about the hospital and doctors, Dont blindly believe the hospital building.

Please note the points given by Durai.

My sincere advice to all is
a) Do not get carried away by advertisement / TV shows / big buildings
b) Please do not rush
c) Do your own due diligence, particularly when things are not an emergency
d) Try and understand the medical terms, do research prior
e) Please ask questions, at every stage.
f) Don't say "I can spend anything"
g) Know patient rights

This is not to hurt others, But to know the importance of the patient condition.

Life goes never revert back.

Thanks
I feel sorry for the guy . Although i have heard similar incidents, I have a lot of faith in DR JS Rajkumar from a personal experience. Infact we had good experience twice involving major cancer operations. My mother Saraswathi was operated upon by Dr JS Rajkumar at Rigid hospital 9 years ago for a cancer in the food pipe involving the lower part near the stomach. We consulted many surgeons before going to DR Rajkumar . Those doctors dilly dallyed a lot and were referring to many other places for investigations, tests, CT scan etc. nobody could give us a guarantee about the success of the operation. We were happy to find everything under one roof at Rigid hospital as my mother could not travel much and they got her ready for the operation very quickly. our duration of further waiting and anxiety was shortened. We explained our situation to the billing department that we may not be able to pay mucn as we had already spent a lot. They said dr had already told them to reduce the package as my mother was suffering for quite some time. The operation went on smoothly. Dr removed the lower part of food pipe and upper part of stomach and re joined it. After the operation my mother could not eat for some time. we were all worried about the tube in her nose. slowly the swelling in her stomach came down and she was given water. she stayed in hospital for two weeks. at one stage dr said we may consider operating again if the swelling did not reduce. but it reduced with monitoring after a few days. By god's grace she was fine eating normally and put on weight. we were all happy. Dr further reduced our bill when we went home at our request. we regularly went to him for follow up for some time and then stopped. this year after 9 years we found that my mother had cancer in the mouth and it had spread to her neck ( lymph node). many of our well wishers and family friends said we had to go to cancer specialist. so we visited 2 specialists. both were good surgeons who said the old cancer had not recurred and this was a new cancer.but they were afraid to operate on her as due to her advancing age ( she is above 60 now). my mother lost faith and refused to see any doctors and the surgery. a doctor who is a surgeon himself near my house in mogappair suggested we go back to dr rajkumar to take an opinion as dr rajkumar was being invited internationally to demonstrate surgeries.. we met him at his new hospital at perungudi . dr rajkumar remembered my mother's name and was upset to know she had another cancer. the operation would be complex he explained and required long operation to remove the cancer both from the mouth and the neck.only sir could convince my mother easily for the operation. the operation took 4 hours. the cancer was removed from both places and a temporary plate was placed in the mouth to cover the hole after taking the cancer out. after some time it was removed once the hole closed. she is on follow up with the medical cance specialist and doing well.(touch wood). we know that dr goes to both rigid and lifeline nowadays. he is a busy man because so many patients come to him from all over India and abroad for help. it was difficult to meet him many times . so when we used to phone him he used to come and visit at night 1130, twelve etc to see my mother after finishing his evening consultation. once we explained that we may not afford the operation and asked him to do the operation in 2 stages - one for the mouth and another for the neck. he said he cannot compromise care. so he did both stages in one setting ( 4 hours ) for same charge. for a few days he went abroad after my mother's operaion during which time his assistant doctors took good care of my mother and got opinions from sir over phone.
I have also heard of bad stories about sir. I do not know how it happened.but still went to him. I really feel sorry for their relatives. trusting a doctor comes only with experience. we have good experiences twice involving high risk complicated operations with good result.
let god be with mr durai in his moments of despair.
Now that I have been a witness to many positive incidents, let me take the pleasure of sharing a few.

My maternal uncles live in Salem. I often visit them. Recently I had been to Salem to attend the wedding of my cousin.

During the my stay there, I happened to see a lady living in the neighbourhood literally roll in stomach pain. Got a little curious and enquired about her health. I was told that she is suffering from a condition called Ulcerative Colitis(fairly grave condition can turn malignant) and has been undergoing treatment for a period of 10-12 years without much relief. Since I was frequenting Lifeline Hospital, spoke to Dr.J S Rajkumar, he consented to meet her. In the initial diagnosis itself Dr. J S Rajkumar suspected that she has been unnecessarily being treated for Ulcerative colitis . The drugs administered have severe and damaging side effets. So she was asked to undergo a conclusive test called Capsule endoscopy(which is a very sophisticated test that not many hospitals can boast of) to rule out the possibility o[censored]lcerative colitis. This is a 11 hr exhaustive study of the digestive tract. She was diagonised to be suffering from a relatively simple Irritable bowl. I still cant forget the happy and the gratitude filled eyes which thanked the Doctor. She was so happy that she did not suffer any major ailment and can lead a normal life like others.I personally felt so pleased in bringing relief to a person. Now on one hand the people a so angry and sensitive . Nostalgic indeed!

I am waiting for the patients consent to reveail their name.( who underwent stemcell therapy)
The person in the above stoty is Ms. Jyothi, a resident of Salem, Mobile No.[protected].
Spoke to her, she is willing to clarify, doubts, if any.
Please ignore my comment if you feel it is not authentic without the name of the patient.
I don’t have the permission to disclose.

Another memory that still lingers in my mind is that of parents whose daughter underwent a Bariatric Surgery ( Fat surgery) performed by Dr. J S Rajkumar.

A girl from pune, fair, pretty and tall looked massive and gigantic with a whooping 135kg body weight. Though an affluent family could not find her a match.

The dejected parents came to Life Line Hospital after being refered by a local surgeon.Underwent the gastric by pass surgery. In less than a year lost 57kg weight.

The parents flew all the way to hand Dr Rajkumar to hand him an invitation of their Daughter’s wedding, saying without him their daughter didn’t stand a chance to become a bride.
One little remark by the father that still lingers fresh.

He said I had a very pretty daughter, was always feeling very bad that I couldn’t see her dress in many different outfits like the others of her age. With tears in his eyes said, “Doctor, today even that little desire of mine is fulfilled. Thankyou!”
Very touching indeed!

If any of you wonder as to how I have information to what is happening inside the Doctor’s consultation room. Since I am trying to help the hospital, try to be benevolent and courteous to the patients coming from other stations by fixing an appointment and coordinating with the hospital on their behalf. Some insist that I accompany them to the consultation room too!
The more information you accumulate, the more you are burdening your self and also run the risk of losing your freedom . If Hypothetically, I decide to get a microbial test the of the water I drink and the bed I sleep. The list of impurities and microbes understood with the help of the useful NET, I am sure that my finding is going to steal, my freedom of my enjoying a glass of chilled water or having a Good Nights sleep.( I can say that even witout a test).

However smart you are ! However calculative you are! Even if you make Plan A, followed by contingency Plan B and Plan C, Hasn’t life taught us by experience, that unexpected always happens?

Ignorance is Bliss! That is how our previous generation were without too many unwanted information.

Little knowledge is dangerous ( Beware Net surfers!)

Total understanding gives Clarity.

Aristotle said, It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, rather than open your mouth and remove all Doubt.

One should speak only if you have complete knowledge, Amused, some many people write so many comments on just Hear Say!

Aristotle also said: Any one can become Angry, and that is easy, but to be angry with the right person, at the right time for the right purpose in the right way- that is not easy.

Give it a thought!
first of all my sincere sympathies to mr.durai.i feel only the loser from the family knows and feels the loss, because his wife has left behind young children.now the father has to act as mother and father.as a practising surgeon over 4 decades, i would like to offer some suggessions to the ailing patients.please do not be carried away from advertisements of hospitals and doctors.the more experienced the doctor, more he knows not only from medical point of view also from patient's concern."a good surgeon is one who knows when not to operate than to operate on any patient", that too in a hurry when not indicated.choose your surgeon and get second opinion, if you have doubt.negligence can be sued and reported to medical authorities.
leaving sripriya who acts like an agent to Dr Rajkumar and the victim of this doctors surgical mistakes, let me clearly tell that this is not the first such problem dr rajkumar is facing are committed. he may be a good talk host in the TVs but his attitued towards commercialization of medical practice has been very aggressive and beyond ethical values as I have got personal experience of people who have suffered. I dont blame him alone but also the commercializaion which has taken a toll of the medical education. MBBS seats are sold for 10-30 lakhs and then MD, MS seats for 50-90 lakhs and then McH and DM seats for 40-60lakhs. After paying close to 3 crores (close to 0.75miilion USD) and 12 years of one life how can you expect someone to simply keep himself at home and practiciing medicine for 50 rs or 100 rs. My two children; one is a doctor luckily got free medical seats at MBBS and MD and after 10 years of training he is making 40 thousand rupees per month whereas my younger son is a manager in a BPO firm with BE in electronics makes same or at times even more than my doctor son. Do you think if I have a third son/daughter send him/her to medical school? Sociey has to think about this as well.
Hi Mr durai, I am SARAN from salem, I think u have seen the the message of my uncle above this, its real, i am very much worried about my life, but the Dr J S RAJKUMAR saves my life, he is a well talented person, u cant blame him, I say my life history, my native place is salem, once i went to unconsciousness and the drs from salem dont know what happens to me, after a few weeks later my recovery happens, but i got blood pressure, so they told to take a ct scan of abdomen and it seems like a cancer and they told us to go to adyar cancer institute, The Drs from cancer institute dont know what is the tumor, finally they planned to done surgery and they call a vascular surgeon from vijaya hospital vadapalani and he also came for surgery, they operated and finally they closes as it is a high risk of life for me, my family members were very muck felt sad about my life, Finally we met Dr J S RAJKUMAR who is a god for me and he says i will done the surgery with high risk and saves his life, he opens my abdomen and he done the surgery for more than 6 hours and he removes the tumour completely, now i am allright, nothing problem to me, so every day morning i am praying to the living god that is dr j s rajkumar, so please dont take a bad complication of any body, god gives a life time as when we born itself, so please dont say a wrong message like this, bye from saran, salem .
Durai,
I'm really sorry for your loss. Keep up up the fight, and don't let this fraud Dr. Rajkumar get the better of you. I know it'll be really tough to nail these greedy crooks down but at least yo should do the best you can do. Write to newspapers, write to media agencies. I know many people in NDTV - contact me and I'll get you in touch with them.

Both posters Sripriya and Saran seem like fraud posters - I won't be surprised if it's Dr. Rajkumar himself.

The things people do for the sake of money.
Hello Mr Siddharth, Please control your words, I[censored] want to contact me means send me a mail to [protected]@yahoo.com, ok, Dontmake nuisance like this, there is no body in the world to gave a death or birth, so what the doctors do for that, please control the words siddharth, Hi sripriya aunty i[censored] want to contact me means send a mail to [protected]@yahoo.com,

Doctors shouldn't be greedy by should have a service motive.
Hi All,
I feel sorry for Durai and I personally had an experience with JSR.
My cousin went for a laproscopic surgery for a problem in the pancreas(chronic pancreatitis) and JSR saved him.
I think JSR is a good man.He genuinely takes care of the patients with a human touch, which we experienced.
However, my cousin died after a year as jaundice spread all over and resulted in multi organ failure!

Though they did their best ..I still wanted to know if the earlier surgery was done perfectly or not...

did they diagnose it propoerly and did the right operation!!?? Only God knows!!

However, I still think that Dr.JSR is a good man.May be he can correct the mistakes pointed out by Durai, so that such incidents could be avoided in the future.
Dr Rajkumar is money motive person. Last week my aunty had undergone surgery, after three days she passed from all my family. It is all because of Dr Rajkumar treatment. Now i have lost my beloved aunty. Please dont believe TV information about him. Before admit into hospital my aunty had only obesity problem, her heart conditon and other things are ok, . After series of diagonis and consultation from various doctors Dr rajkumar advice for operation, After 3 days from operation my aunty died. It is all due to JSR . Please save humman value. Dr like jsr are only knows the money value, please save all our family ones from these kind of doctor.
I just wanted to express to this wounded man a compassionate word. Your story is so sad, I am so sorry that you had to endure this terrible loss.
its absolutely correct mr sitaraman, people like them dont know about the values of life and blaming only doctors especially dr j s rajkumar, i dont know what coming for them by telling wrong nuisance like this, you explain them in good words but i wont like that, i will be very much worried of people saying like this bad news about a great doctor, .., i am got treated many hospitals in salem and i operated in chennai a famous cancer institute for a adrenal mass, but it could not be possible, dr j s rajkumar operated me in a very good excellent brain and removed my tumour and saved my life from death, , ... not only for me but also for many many cases, so dont be like this, ... bye, ...
Sripriya, if that's her real name, is probably working for the so called 'Doctor' J S Rakumar.. No normal person would go out the way to defend a quack..
Dear Friends,

There is no doubt that Dr.J.S.Rajkumar is one of the excellent medical professionals and the most qualified in India. He has wide range of testimonials for his records. It is good to have such doctors ...

But recently there are lot of compliants from patients about the services offered by his hospital. Most of them pertain to insurance and other expenditure that the hospital presses on.It is understood that the hospital puts the patient to spend from their pockets despite the same being covered under insurance in all other hospitals and advise the patients to claim later. This puts tremendous pressure on the patients who thinks major part of medical expenditure would be under cashless service. There is criticism on the behaviour of the service personnel like nurses, duty doctors, medical superintendent etc.

Dr.JSR cliams that lacs and lacs are provided as discounts to AIDS and cancer patients. What we are not able to understand is Lifeline provides discounts like 20%, 25% etc manytimes patients receive 50% discount on CT Scan which is actually Rs.7700.Why cant the hospital provide better prices at the beginning itself and instead allow such cheap bargaining in percentages??

It is high time that Dr.JSR ensures that his excellence is reflected by his team members also.Let his service reach everyone without any hassle.
I would support the complaint. infact i have heard of Dr. Rajkumar, one of the leading business man son from chennai has lost his life in Lifeline hospital where he had come to reduce his weight. concernd people should come forward to register these kind of cases and publicse in media. today Appollo hospital is one money minting group, I had a servere cough went for check-up oneday in BREATHE EASY CLINIC they did x-ray, saw the report and said u've asma BEGINING STAGE and gave me medicine with all inhalers for rs. 3000 the doctor asked me where r u working and my designation and asked me to do scanning before even getting the scanning report he had already asked me to pay the amount an d gve me the medicines. Believe me I paid My expense was 12, 000.00 single day I went in the morning around 9.30 and wlked out at 7.30pm. I used that medicine till it got exhaused for a month, it is almost a year now. I felt so bad why are they so money minded...I felt like they have sucked my blood. just for the sake of publicity they are doing lot of other social activities. But there is something called law o[censored]niverse one day they or their families would pay for this. People who are recommending rajkumar and other doctors should first know what is really happning. A LIFE is so DIVINE I[censored] CANT SAVE IT ATLEST STOP killing.
I really feel sorry. & i pray that padma's soul rest in peace. When I go threw your mail i cld understand the pain u've suffered with the life line hosptial,
There are lot ot appreciation coming for rajkumar, ther is no doubt it is all his own comments,

if the people who have supported rajkumar is true do u people have any explanation not the treatment, but about the service they have offer, torturing for payment, that idoit will not give clearance for a second surgery if payment is not paid. I wld have given my slipers to him. they shld provide full support to the family. What is the necessity to do the surgery why padmas's husband was not informed a bt the complications earlier with all the test performed. HELLOW RAJKUMARi[censored] r reading this or somebody close to him read this pls tell thim to STOP DOING SURGERIES there are many opther ways to earn money not at the cost of other lifes.

ONE DAY U'LL ANSWER THE LAW O[censored]NIVERSE -U'LL BLEED

Nireesh
Yes Dr. Rajkumar is and Life Line Group of Hospitals is number one Faurd... All the posting on favor or rajkumar are not true and should have posted by his keeps or agents... I will tell my personal experience happend last week... i was asked to take a surgery for a small fissure in my annal... thank god i had 2nd consultation with apollo hospitals and got to know that this is so common and can be cured by an gel or tablet... that in life line hospitla told that its and emergency adn it would cost around 45K and need not worry as u have insrance...

please avoid lifeline... please... life is not a game...
Dr.Rajkumar and all his supporters, you will realise the pain Padma's family is facing only when such an incident happens in your own family.

I wish a RAMANA or an INDIAN THATHA really gets alive and teaches the RIGHT LESSON to all involved.

God bless you all. Everyone reaps what he sows - you may still lead a jolly life, but dont forget your sins will not let your children lead a peaceful life

Padma's family - our heart goes out for you - iam also convinced tht something is drastically fishy about the first surgery

Have you filed a case against the hospital? Makesure you have the right BIG support when you do tht - the hospital seems to have lots of stolen money to turn the tables. God be with you and your children.

Cheer up - your children are your world - take care of them - Padma will bless them from Heaven.
I would feel, media has to have the equal responsibility who broadcasting their advertisement, so that people would not be running behind them based on advertisement not only for this kind of issue because media is so powerful source to reach pubic. The media should have some checklist and approval from appropriate department from goverment to braodcasting, so that people should have a strong voice to register a case against fraud people who is doing public services.

Moreover, our government should feel shame on their part due to poor quality of service in GOVT hosipital, we do not know the proper way to pass on this further to punish fraud people.
Yes, I 100% agree with the complaint about Lifeline hospitals, Dr.Raj kumar is a cheater and running the hospital for money only, nothing else.
hello all, im 25+ girl with 110kgs, last year i visted lifeline hospital after seeing advertsmnt on tv...DR.rajkumr asked me to do bypas obesi surgry/ thy said neay 3.5laks ill charges for tht same, due to this morbid obesity im much deprsd so i thought of going to do the surgry but after seing durai's post i panikd so i decided to cancel that..can any one help me for the same?, still im in same weight, did so many crash diets, pills, tretments but no remedy...so if anyone can help me with good info plz mail me..cant go abrod/ midil clas finance problem...im having 3 laksh medi clim policy but obesity operation catgrsd in cosmetic cader...not having any hormon problems, did ayurveda tretments too but no recovery. hope i can get good solution.

MR.durai im realy sory for ur wife. how's ur daughter and son, past one year im praying for your family..sure god will help you. padma only gone physcaly but not realy..
Dr.J.S.Rajkumar is not cheater he is a good person noble hearted and helping minded person I am Rajkumar uncle's old patient now itself he is teaching me and talking me like his own relative.he is not a doctor for my family he is one of our relative. all the best for all your works uncle.i love you so much uncle.
Person like sripriya who is cheating her own husband will always say good things about her buddy. Such a shame
DR J S RAJKUMAR uncle is not a cheater, did gautam r u seen him, u dont say any body like this, , ... its true what R.jayashree said above, , , stop all coments fellows
Dei Saran.. that man saved your life so u r happy and telling him good man...

many many families are lost their loved one because of this hospital and their negligence...
To the fellow readers...
Hitherto I had not thought so bad about the INEGRITY of Dr J.S RAJKUMAR as a professional eventhough my dad faced death at his hospital ICU, I call it JUNKYARD, under his team's care.I used to think that it just happened because of our misplaced faith in him coupled with our wrong choices of hospitals, including his, before reaching him and he tried his best and we lost my father.'It is Our fate', I used to think.

BUT I WONT CERTIFY him as NOT GREEDY. HIS administration is one of the worst and facilities are very poor, costs are exhorbitant without maching with services and some staff are not good and they dont give proper billing for services which I have explained below in my communications to Dr. Raj KUMAR in the lone email id available in the bills[ the id in the offical website is a blank one as your mails get bounced] since the year 2006 feb after I lost my father on 21.12.2005 at his junkyard like ICU.Mrs Padma died on 22.12 ... NONE GOT ANY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OR REPLY YET...

SINCE he choses to be silent to all my mails and I saw this forum, when I was searching what is latest on him before sending this years mail I found this, expressing opinion on him I decided to make them public which were hitherto very private. Let others also decide the merits in these mails.People may ask why I dont go to court to seek redressal. Presently courts are not only function on the basis of rule of law . There are extra considerations. Dr. Rajkumar is well connected to say the least to manipulate things as some in this forum trying to bat for him.

Now After reading the complaints and comments and the police cases, chargesheets made against him by the authorities and public I tend to doubt his INEGRITY too. I never tried to see him again as there is no proper response to mails sent every year on this day in memory of my father and asking to send us our rightful SPLIT BILL and return any overcharges which never been given.EACH IS PENNY IS OUR BLOOD.His office loves to suck others blood with so much lust.

I say I DOUBT because my first impression about this Dr was not that bad. YOUNG, energetic, polite, god fearing[ or atleast that is what I understood] and really really hard working and risk taking .Eventhough I lost the greatest treasure of my life- MY FATHER -with which I have not yet come to terms with I wanted to give him full credit for his medical integrity which I dont see in many
[ I wish to use ALL but I use many becuse there might quite a few not belonging to this category, I feel]
of the city drs specially upper caste tamilians and upper caste telugu Drs.
[ I'm also a high casteTAMILIAN, so dont try to manipulate on this] .

It got some damage when the administration refused to behave in just and proper manner and the poor facilities at an exhorbitant cost which I have explained very well below in my communications to him.

I remind the supporters of Dr. J.S. Rajkumar that these hospital are OWNED by him. and if anything is wrong there the responsibility also falls on him as he likes/ loves to take full credit for his good deeds.

But see for yourself what happened to us.
I also warn that here might be somevested interests against this Dr who might orchestrate propaganda as he is not liked by many a veterens in the field for his risk taking, I was told and understood.

But the cases I read are genuine and similar to ours. And Dr. J.S Rajkumar does prove with these that he is no different from THE GRREDY FRAUDSTERS of chennai a.k.a Docters. THAT IS SAD . I FEEL FURTHER DEJECTED with these guys.No explitives will express my feelings. My strongest way to oppose these greedy fraudsters is NOT TO USE their services . For sripriya's comments...I told Dr. Shivkumar Nair of Mata amritanandha mayi Hospital at Edpally Kochin the following ...THE BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN in my life when coming showing compassion to his patients. He treated his patients with such an equnimity and loveing compassion I used to see. NOT A SINGLE trace for GREEDINESS in his attitude you can see with a remarkable track record. Well this is not the place to argue for him. I agree. told him when he asked me why I dont select a chennai cardiologist even for this consultation as that would reduce unnecessary travel and expences when I visited him 1 year after my father's Bye pass surgery ...

"There are two types of drs.
1. Despite his best efforts the patient dies.
2. Despite his best efforst the patient survives. Both are DIVINE intervention. I say."

Chennai is filled with number two. mata amritanandha mayi is filled with no 1. So if death happens in mata amrithanandha mayi hospital I may accept that without question. with chennai it is surprising if the patient survives. One needs to cross all the number twos of chennai to REACH those very few Number 1 here."

With Vijaya and Kedhar at mugalivakkam my father met the no2s.

With J.S Rajkumar and about my fathers untimely death I thought he is in Number 2 and it was divine wish.
But information emerging make me to have a reconsideration on this, I feel.what more I can say.

CHENNAI is CURSED by the DIVINE . So the change is far off it seems.
PREY to DIVINE to bring change in chennai at least on this aspect if you are a believer. If not DONT GO TO CHENNAI DRs. SIMPLAY DIE AT HOME peacefully observing all your pain as the chance to eradicate all your past karmas, as Lord Buddha says

Dear Dr. J.S. Rajkumar,

One more year has gone since the fateful day of 21.12.2005 my father died at your junkyard like ICU.

From last year to this year you have been accused by two identifiable people who charged you of medical negligence and organ stealing etc against you. They were startling and unbelievable .And the case on medical negligence got approval from the panel constituted by AIIMS, New delhi. Are these conspiracies against you are your are culprit is not known to any unless solid evidence emerges except that there is some prima - facie as per the chargsheet filed against you.

As explained in the medical negligence case where you have promised some drastic reduction in weight to that soul which departed after your operation you have told my brother that there was a chance of 50% for survival if operation is done on my father at Vijaya and transported him in another cargo like ambulance without any Dr for emergency and changed your assessment to 5% after admission. IS this your standard ploy to lure clients to your hospital or what I really dont know. But I lost my father .

Further On these fresh lights I too would like to point out that YOUR OFFICE till date not give us the SPLIT bill for the patient Mr. S.SOOMASUNDARAM who died at your care on 21.12.2005 evening around 5.56 PM.It is a SHAME on your office. I guess they have swindled much of the money of ours on fake accounts and that is the reason they refuse to give us the detail bill for the money paid.

As I'm not equipped to understand and know the fact I leave it to your conscience to decide whether you neglected my father's health condition also and allowed him to die unceremoniously at your junkyard like ICU or u are not capable to handle such cases.

How many more lives are destined to suffer at your hands is not known. But if you are having conscience with your talent you can save many a lives at an affordable cost. BUT IT LOOKS LIKE A SWEETDREAM which has no chance of becoming reality due to the lust your office show for MONEY.

I lost and the world lost one of the best brains on this fateful 21.12. day in the year 2005. I deeply MOURN and I curse myself for not been able to save him at an appropriate place other than yours.

Last year's reminder...

Dear Dr. J.S. Rajkumar, My father died at yur attic like icu on
21.12.2005 despite your best efforts. I
have forwarded the mails I sent last year and the year before of this
day [21st december ].I have nothing more to say other than what is
said in them. And for your rememberance NOTHING has happned on the
complaints made in them.It makes me to suspect your integrity and
ethics.I just say that, I DOUBT. I'm not sure since I cannot verify
whether you see these mails and those seeing show them to you.But you
havn't given any personal id, either. WE
DEEPLY MOURN MY FATHER's DEATH at one of the CHENNAI's junkyard.IT
SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. BUT HAPPENED because of my ignorance. I hope atleast now you take steps to rectify the errors. Sincerely, SOMASUNDARAM

Dear Dr.J.S.Rajkumar. An year before the same day my Dad died at RIGID's ONYX like ICU despite your best efforts. I
wrote a mail regarding some issues which got no reply till this date .
I fear you might not have been shown the same . I'm enclosing the same
again. 1. I discussed about the HIGH rates without any reasonable facility for which I prayed your attention. 2.The junkyard like condition of ICU should be improvised, I have prayed. 3. The detailed bill which was not yet been sent. 4.We were told my Dad was under a 1, 10, 000 package for about 15 days. We
paid 1.10, 000 for 6 days treatment where it was claimed you have
waived your charges.I really couldnt comprehend how you could reduce
your prices when we have already over paid.It is sort of Jimmick, I
would say.I request you not to claim any such credit since you dont
give any such redcuction. You
are a hard working and highly talented and the torch bearer of what
your father and grandfather did to the society. But your hospital just
terrorises financially without providing required falicility for the
money collected. This do not put you in good light. ANY LUST FOR MONEY
will not bring you any worthiness to you in the long run.It will spoil
and is spoiling the family name which I wish should not happen . If
you have time plese read the attahced mail and do the needful and send
us our rightful split bill and return any excess( which I fear may not
happen as chennai hospitales are notoriously money swallowers and your
hospital doesn't seem to be an exception on this aspect upto this
moment and any change should start/come from your end). Thanking you. Sincerely, Narendran.S

write this after reaching from pondicherry to chennai.I came to know
from Mr SRIDHAR--- our well wisher and family friend who brought us
to you -- that you and your dad have kindly awarded some financial
assistance through the trust run by you.I express my thankfulness for
this gesture and good samariton. The content
of this mail contains my observation about the condition of the
hospital in three aspects 1.The ICU, 2. The Administration and 3. The
Rates. There are some typos but other than them nothing need
to be changed, I feel. Personally
I feel they need your immediate attention. If you find some time to read

-----Inline Attachment Follows-----

Dear Dr.J.S. Rajkumar,
I'm Narendran Somasundaram son of your patient Mr Somasundaram who
unfortunately died on 21.12.2005 despite your best efforts.

I must thank you and your team of Dr.s, namely, Dr. Durai Murugan,
Dr.GowriShankar and Dr. Vijaya Raghavan the nephrologist who
initiated the
dialysis.

Actually I wanted to write this mail in a happy note after my dad's
discharge from your hospital after getting cured completely which we
all believed to happen .

As you made in your observation before you enter into your OP on that
fateful evening the so called GOD has WISHed in the other way which
is still unbearable.Im not able to understand the whole meaning of
this in a spiritual way even though me or for that matter my dad are
not afraid of
death.

Except that Dr Vijaya raghavan who
prescribed a 24 hrs dialysis first
and subsequent ones after some gaps suddenly proceeded further and
continued the dialysis claiming that the patient was stable ---there
was
nothing unusual in the whole treatment I feel. I must respect HIS
opinion - even though I dont know the logic- since everyone in the
team wanted to save my dad.I still dont know what could have happened
if he had proceeded
as per his original plans.May be the same could have happened in a
delayed way or NOT too.

Anyway with all respect to all involved I wanted to share some of my
opinions about the overall things which I witnessed during my stay
there as the attendent for my dad...

I know my vocabulary woud have showed so much of my happniess had I
wrote this after my dad's complete recovery and it may not be so when
I'm writing this one with so much of sorrow and
dejection about my
dad's sudden
demise. But I request you to take this in the right perspective as my
intention is for the betterment of the all onvolved - the patients and
the medical fraternity.

Starting from the ambulance --the worst one ever one can find ---
which infact could have speeded up the worsening of my dad's
condition to the non ventilated ICU which further made him fast to
depend on ventilator nothing gave us pleasant feeling except your
force and confidence. We all beleived from your vigour that my dad
will return home safe which failed .I still couldnt comrehend why it
should have happened the way it has happened.

Anyway There are three things which need your immediate attention...
1 the ICU
2 the billing /the accounts
3the Rates/ the Charges

The overall condition of the ICU in which he was kept during the
whole period is much desired as
it is very noicy, stinky and untidy
and the AC was not kept in on all the time.I intervened the first day
but I stopped as there is no use in insisiting as people are giving
some lame excuses for their actions.

The hygiene condition is much compromised .

The nurses were very much co operative except one named Elizebeth who
was a real pain to all working there .She was very rough to all
including with us .All the time I used to pray nothing should happen
to my dad during her
shift .

The Dhanvandhri blood bank staff are so insensitive to the icu that
they were least bothered even after my repeated requests not to do so
and they were entering the icu with their fancy dress with so much
dampness and
wetness and sitting and conducting their money business inside the
icu with the attendents like me .For reasons better known to them the
nurses are not
able to rein on them from doing this even after my
repeated requsts.

With some experience in getting treatment for our family in a world
class super speciality hospital I know a little about the way the
icu's are kept .How sterile they would be. Nothing such I found there
in our hospital. The space is very less and they are trying to
accommodate many a
things in a verysmall place which makes it very clumsy.

The lighting inside the icu was very bad which was disturbing the
patient very much. If some one lying idle watching the TUBELIGHT with
open eyes or closed eyes - without any escape- will defenitely get
its bad impact, I
feel.

The matron of the icu wants to conduct her classes and teach the
nurses just a few steps away from the icu and the nurses wants to
dicuss about the patient just two steps away from the bed. There is not
much of a leg room
to
move around .

The wearing of the various protective cloths like face mask etc are
very much optional and patient as well as the workers are very much
prone to infection.

The ward boys and the security outside needs to be more sensitive to
their noice making and to the attendents requirements which is very
much lacking.

So many rules to GOVERN the visiters without much facility gives them
real hardship to understand the meaning behind those rules. There is no
place to stretch ones leg during the nights or stay in good condition
during day for the attendents and just one or two toliet for all
those visiting as
well as working .

I'm not against treating the HIV -AIDS patients but keeping them
inside the ICU with the others seems to be not that great idea, I feel
.I know atleast one was kept along with my dad .If some mixing
happens in that small room
since it is very much prone to it and a
nurse like elyzebeth who is
untrustworthy it would bring very dangerous results I feel.

And as I said earlier there is much improvements needed immediately
in that ICU for the benefit of all.If you dont mind I may say that the
ICU in our hospital is not greater than the one in any of the
government hospitals.

And I must say that despite with all these adverse conditions the Drs
as well as the para staff like the nurses and the boys gave a sincere
and
devoted efforts in their attempts to save my dad.

The second one is the billing section...

Despite their cordial and friendly handling of the people, which
happened in our case after my brother reached the right person after
so many phone
calls and personal visits and on the 7th day after the death of my
dad...this one is totally UNPROFESSIONAL.

Considering
various facts about the way one is charged for the
treatment and services in the hospital this section should work MORE
promptly and professionally..

In our case...

We STILL dont KNOW and have not been given what would be there in a
PACKAGE under which my dad was treated ...
( We were told before operation that our package is
Rs. 1, 10, 00and were asked to pay 50% before the start of the
operation. I must acknowledge that except for medicine and outside
test and blood we were not asked to pay in advance any amount.)

We were given a HAND written list of services and charges which
doesn't have any levearage for MEDICINE as well as the STAY of the
patient in the hospital .

Having done some research in the package system some time back for my dad
for his by pass surgery I have never come across a package which
doesnt give the minimum period
of stay in the bed-- pre operation as
well as post operation including in the icu.

When asked about this we were told that our hopital doesnt have the
icu within the package. It is really SURPRISING.

When we found out there are some errors in the billing which made us
to pay for ventilation as well as oxygen for the same period which is
like asking to pay two times for one and the same service which we
DID they accepted
the mistake and came up with another heading and were asking us to
pay more than what YOU have asked my brother to pay after reducing
some of your charges (i.e it came at Rs50, 000 after deducting the
advance was 60, 000 which my brother paid before getting NOC.)

It is like... ok you found out OUR mistake now pay penalty for that ...

When my brother asked them to come up with proper figure before
talking to you before he
leaves for his job they agreed. BUT DIDNT
COMPLY. MY brother left without meeting you, WITHOUT GETTING a
detailed bill which is the case till this moment .If I'm correct till
this moment--- The correction I make in this letter now is on
o6.02.2006.Till this day I guess my home didnt get the detailed bill
or atleast till 14.Jan 2006 the day I left home to pondicherry where I
stay put.

And they were not yet able to give us the split for the originally
claimed package ( Rs 1.10 lacs) claiming that that will disturb them
with tax people which could not be so as no tax man can charge for
mere quotations. As far as I know they may charge only on the ACTUALS.
I guess by not making available the detailed bill the accounts
department works overtime (sic) to make a100% tax free income from my
dad's death...

Even after my brother has expalined them and requested them
to
complete the whole process and get an appointment with you to request
for some help THEY
HAVE NOT YET COMPLETED their work . My brother left on 03. 01. 2006
without getting the complete bill for what he paid.

Please remember It is solid 2 weeks after my dad's death at our hospital.

Each and every penny we borrowed to settle our account on the dotted
date and time ...But we are not given a bll till this date...(I
surely believe from the way the accounts department works that I can
find out many more discrepancies and mistakes in the bill if I
have the split bill with me )

I dont know whether you are able to see any PROFESSIONALISM in this
even though the charges we paid are MANY A TIMES MORE THAN what I
would have paid in a world class hospital had I got that MISSED
opportunity .

3.The rates ...

I would like to see these two
-- the icu and the accounts --problem
with the charges we were asked to PAY and the payments received from
us.

No two things are alike, I agree .THERE IS NO NEED FOR COMARISONS.

But when asked why the rates should be like this I
was told that the rates of other hospitals like Apollo ete are taken
into consideration before fixing RIGID's rates.

With these as back ground I can bring to your kind attention some
startling facts which I told to Dr Durai murugan before I leave our
hospital with my
dad's dead body.

We know what my dad's problem is /was and what should be done and
where we must go for that.

Due to my dad's misplaced superstitious belief that he should get
operated only after we shifted to the new found house from the
previous one------ we were waiting. But we were never able to make it
as his his condition gone out of our control slowly
but swiftly and
our innocence complicated. He reached the new house as dead only.

To talk about the rates ...

I NEVER HAD any great opinion about the HOSPITALS as well as DOCTERS in chennai.

The HOSPITALS ARE NOTORIOUS and the DOCTERS ARE GREEDY AND DISHONEST
to their profession. This is my opinion formed after a decade and
half living experience in this city as a citizen and as journalist .

I never advice people to get treated in chennai instead I advice them
where to go as I KNOW atleast one.

But There are very few EXCEPTIONS .In some aspects your TEAM and YOU
are exceptional. YOU and YOUR team are atleast honest to what you
do.YOU people have sincerely tried to save my dad WHICH we didnt see
in the two hospitals were my dad was admitted before reaching you.You
and your team claim to be DARING and it is true too and many a

private docters of the city do not come nearer to you on this aspect
leave alone matching it.You can extent this prefessional daringness to
the rates too...If you ask me WHY????

...

During the year[protected] we did settle for one hospital named AMRITA
INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCS at Edapally Kochi for my Dad's By-pass
surgery .It took us nearly a month to complete our research .We went
there and talked with the best surgeon in INDIA who is daring LIKE
YOU and very much compassionate and forthright in revealing
information. My dad got operated there .The package included three
nights in the icu.Four grafts were done. As my dad liked the ICU as
well as the room I persuaded the docter to allow him to stay for
more days.Even through the package was for 10 days we over stayed for
5 more days .The total bill came to 97.000 INR and
we were returned
the balance money 13, 000 from 1, 10, 000 we paid.

The package hasn't changed much even today.

We were asked before billing whether we need any financial subsidy
which we refused to accept and told them the money we paid was much
much lower than what we could have paid had we opted for chennai
hospital without any gurantee for my dad's receovery. For the five star
facility and so much compassion to the patient we paid NOTHING I told
.When enquired I found out that they are not making any loss from
the money we paid and they make a little PROFIT too.

And for my dad's Diverticulosis too we had the estimation and it
was/is just peanuts when compared to the expenses we incurred in
chennai. Just Rs.43, 000 /-for the whole operation including ICU and
14- 18 days stay in the hospital, I guess. It is for the non AC
seperate
room. I dont need to repeat that the facility is UNMATCHED
.NOT a SINGLE chennai hospital can match their facitlity . Their care.
Their compassion and there Dedication and also their ability .

You are really talented. There is no doubt about it. You are daring to
save the lives .It is also unmatched. But some thing I want to bring
to your attention which need a positive consideration from you for
the benefit of all...

I dare to say this just because

YOU CLAIM TO TRY TO WALK ON THE EIGHT FOLD PATH...

I dont write this type of mail to Dr K. Narayan Reddy of Vijaya
Hospitall who cared less for my dad and more for the money we pay.The
nature will take care of him as well as the other one who blundered
just by keeping my dad at his nursing home without knowing what to do
just for money sake.

As I have explained above I have a strong
feeling that WE were very
much OVERCHARGED for lesser facilities.

We spent nearly 3.25 lacs( 2.15 lacs for medicine and blood and the
res(1.10)t for the stay and Dr. fees ) JUST for SIX days stay in our
hospital .

Somehow nature has allowed us to borrow so much money in that short
span.We all have to work hard for years to REPAY the debt. What about
the others who cannot afford.

For that matter take myself.I have same or similar trouble in my colon
and rectum. I know you are the right person to get treated from.

BUT YOU ARE UNAFFORDABLE to me. And not only to mein fact many a
people who wants better treatment for a reasonable rate with proper
facility cannot afford you .

HereI would like to bring to your attention one interesting thing.
Dr. Ashok kumar the cardiologist who visited my dad on the first day
evening explained about the complexity and the
high cost involved in
and PROMISED me that THEY will HELP us in some ways in reducing the
cost. After that he just visited few times for his OP and we were
charged Rs2500 for his services.I really dont know why it should be
so high and what has happened to the HELP he promised but forgot to
extend .

When My dad commented to the Amrita Hospital Surgeon that the VERY
much Popular CITY cardiologist charges Rs.1500 per visit I shunned
him and shouted at him that He was painting bad picture and
EXAGGERATING. ... NO ... He DIDNT...He was correct as HE USED TO
BE IN ALL HIS OTHER observations. The city heart specialists are
heartless specialists we used to joke.

So your rates are high and the rates do not match the facilities given.

I'm getting a rhetoric that indian hospitals charge less COMPARED to
the
west...This is TOTALLY ridiculous ...

1.NONE of the indian Docters spend the money western docters spend to
become such a one. Instead they suck the subsidy given by the
government s.
2.Indian citizens are not protected with insuarance as is the case with west .

The hospitals which RUN in INDIA for INDIANS with POOR INDIAN
STANDARDS cannot have a western pricing.

And not many an indian hospitals match the western standards in all
aspects. Certainly the hospital where my dad was treated under your
care DONOT match any western standard.
But your rates are too high . Even the DEADLY Vijaya Hospital charges
60% lesser than you for the ICU.
Further I know there is big trade commission involved in
medicines. When people like us who want to spend money to get treated
with the rare expensive medicines it is natural to expect to get
reduction in pricing from the huge profits made out of the sales .But
were charged during my dad's treatment to the last penny. Not a
single penny got reduced.

I know none of the points I raised is NEW to you as you could have
witnessed much much more than what I have seen as a professional and
further you are not just a first genration educated .

YOU CARRY the tourch for the third generation. So certainly you KNOW
about these all.

So where can people like me those who know a little bit about their
rights and want to get some quality treatment for each penny we
spend can go and get treated.

WHY WE SHOULD NOT COME TO YOU WHEN YOU HAVE THE TALENT and the efficient team to provide the treatment?

Finding a good docter is like witnessing death. At my dad's death we
found that you have some qualities of a good DR. So make yourself
affordable and give us the
facilitites rightful to us for the charges
we are expected to pay.I'm not asking to subsidise your cost.We are
willing to pay for the facilities and wish that you Make profit at a
reasonable rate. The case explained above certainly do not qualify
either with quality or reasonable prifit making is the opinion I have.

And Further please do the needful to get us our bill and rectify the
discrepancies in the billing and ask your people to return our hard
earned money whatever little it could be.
With Love
Narendran Somasundaram,
I think there is no one in Sripriya's family is "ok" as every one has opened their bodies to fit in the spare parts tried by Dr. Raj Kumar.
Them living itself is a big thing so Sripriya is jus amazed by that. But then, there is no need to go out of the way to support a doctor who is not responsible enough to make the family get updates of the patients status which is the most important thing that is needed.

Now the quacks can start mocking at me... but then I had my family member working in this hospital with all the praises until he discovered the bad practices and that person quit the job to join another hospital.

I then understood what is right and what is not. So, SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!1
this is the worst hospital i have seen till now. This is more costlier than the best hospitals in Bangalore. And this so called Dr. Rajkumar is there just to mint money. All he speaks is just lies.
I went there for simple abdomen pain. They have done so many tests, asked me to get admitted without waiting for test results and made almost 10k for a simple pain. 4 visits and over month now but no results.
Seeing what other have written I am feeling lucky that I resisted their attempts to admit me.

Friends Please beware of Life line hospital and this Doctor Rajkumar.
i am shocked that u believed on Indian doctors and not on UK doctors. who asked you to go to a lifeline hospital? you could have gone to apollo hospital, even there i don't think all doctors are good enough.
this is your fault. you should have kept some patience, when the doctors in UK told that surgery is not needed right now. that stupid rajkumar told that surgery can be done right tomorrow and you agreed. this shows how much mature you are. surgery is a major issue sir and you need to go to a best doctor and a best hospital to do the same if you love the person undergoing surgery.
i am really sad for your loss, and also angry on your stupid way of dealing important things. just make sure you take well care about such issues in the future.
and as far as Rajkumar is concerned i will recommend you to try for all hard steps that can be possible to bring your case to justice, and if you can't seriously talk to some mafia and get him killed brutally. such people don't deserve to live in this world.
Hello Mr.Durai,

I feel very sorry for you and your family for the plights you underwent and the unthinkable loss of life.

I know about the internal functioning of the Rigid hospital as I worked there for few months. Dr JSR talks to the patient and family only preoperatively to convince (?) them for the surgery and will give all sorts of false promises.

Post operatively he does not bother to visit his patients and monitor them. They are left to the mercy of his assistants whose competence god only knows. Many a times postoperative patients are not taken care of properly. Only junior duty doctors (MBBS) see them daily. For many patients daily treatment, instructions and notes are not written at all.

I am not surprised to hear from you that there were no notes on 16and 17 dec 2007. I am sure nobody has seen the patient properly and put down their findings otherwise the complication (duodenal perforation) could have been picked up earlier.

The duodenal perforation is most probably the result of perforation during the laproscopy port insertion (which is a known complication). They should have detected this at the earliest if they monitored her closely, so that your wife could have been saved.

Dr. JSR should not have operated upon her in the first instance, knowing that he is not going to be there for the next few days. This shows his ever so casual attitude towards patients life.

The worst part is that they should have accepted that the complication was due to first surgery and have done the second surgery without taking any fee rather than lieing balatantly that duodenal perforation is due to silent ulcer or stress ulcer.

What a kind of human being he is to take fee to operate again for a complication which occured because of his carelessness during the first sugery and complication being detected late becuase he and his team did not monitor the patient properly.

This is a pure and simple case of gross negligence.

All the case sheets of Rigid and Lifeline hospital should be audited to know what I am saying is correct (there is no proper notes, no daily treatment instructions by doctors, no monitoring sheet, no proper per-op aneasthetic chek up).

god only can save his patients
Dr Rajkumar is a terrible, incompetent, arrogant doctor. People are sharing their experiences with him here, If you had a good experience talk about it but don't try to undermine what someone else has to say
What was the action taken against LIfeline hospital and Dr. Rajkumar and his team in the case of Mrs. Padma? The law of "Tort" is still alive.

There was this incident where one of my friends, Ms. Navya Sundar, was admitted to Lifeline hospital, Perungudi, Chennai. following an accident. She was asked to be discharged the very next day. When we asked for further diagnosis (from a different doctor/hospital), we found that she had 4 fractures to her nose, 2 fractures on her leg and multiple bruises.
In spite of this negligence, the hospital was very indifferent about the whole issue and bribed her with 5000/- for keeping her mouth shut. They denied her documents (so that they could cover up the scam) and she lost 10, 000/- worth insurance coverage in the process. The total bill amount was 35, 000+

Shocking allegations.. Need to be investigated and guilty, if any, brought to justice.

I have heard from reliable sources that senior Pediatricians in government hospitals train their juniors by asking them to treat infants. If the juniors treat, out of 100, 10 may die but that is the only way new Pediatricians can get trained and save infant lives in future - may be the 10 could be 2-3 then once they are fully trained. What could we say about this?

In a different hospital, My friend's son (2 and 1/2 years old) got Pneumonia attack even after getting administered for Pneumococal doses at the right time and intervals. Doctor's explanation for that was it could happen rarely.

Dr Rajkumar and the hospital should have explained their side in Mrs. Padma's and Mr. Somasundaram's cases that have been posted here. Feeling very bad that Mr. Narendiran did not get a single reply even after so many mails. That is the best thing they could have done. Pathetic that they did not show the basic courtesy.
Hi CA Sathya thanks for your sympathies...

This country and especially Medicine department has been outsourced to thugs and the Administrators of GOI through MCI and the near defunct judiciary are seemingly against there own subjects and very reluctant to bring in the much needed reforms/accountability in medical field and willing to be submissive to surrender this nation to their foreign masters by opening up the markets...I dont know whether GOD DOES EXIST.If he does he seems to be with the devils/adharma and not on the side of Dharma.

Yet to be sent mail on 21st Dec...
Dear Dr. J.S.Rajkumar,

One more year has passed with no response from your end for the detailed bill and the return of the excess amount charged on my father's treatment at your JUNKYARD like ICU in the Third week of Dec 2005. He died in that stinky attic on 21.12.2005 evening 5.56.

Do you read these mails every year send to you?Now your Rigid id is bouncing and Enquiry id seems to be working for the past few years...

I guess you are not reading these mails or comments made in the consumer complaints forum. Your sidekicks keep this away from you as you don't seem to like to see the dark side of your administration, I feel.

If nature has any power left in it, it will take the punitive action on the people who are unethical, fraudulent, lustful, greedy and play with others life in the negative way just to earn some extra pennies. But I fear it may take longer than expected with the judiciary seems to be more comfortable... to be on the side of the erring than erred. Reasons... Not known... explicitly.

Sincerely,
Somasundaram Narendran

Dear Dr. J.S. Rajkumar,

One more year has passed since 21.12.2005 the day on which the best of the things I got - MY FATHER - died who was treated by you and your unrepentant team of Drs and Staff inside the junkyard like ICU for which you charged us the heaven.

The Funny thing is the detailed split bill is yet to find its way to our home despite every year I send this reminder.

I dont know what good changes time has brought in you but in general the medical fraternity throughout the world and India in particular has become more insulated to its crimes despite much awareness about their rights among the public and patients.

It shows the power of the mafioso which rules MEDICINE and the impotence of democracy and judiciary and the rule of law and most importantly THE ETHICS.

The only way I can understand that you have changed for the positive is finding/getting the split bill of the treatment given to my father with proper accountability for the delay and the refund of the excess.

I do believe if not today DHARMA and TRUTH may prevail one day- even if I may not be there to see it - in this land where each day both are raped mercilessly by culprits.
Sincerely,

Dear Dr. J.S. Rajkumar,

Tomorrow is 21.12.2010. I'm along with my family members crossing one more year in memory of my father who died at your attic like junkyard aka ICU in your RIGID Hospital on the evening of 21.12.2005.

I'm sending this in memorium along with our request for our rightful detailed bill which still faces stoic silence from your end.

I read your 'nice guys are not always nice' and having a feeling that how such a wonderful person has changed NOW and so engulfed in the lust for MONEY and self trumpeting. It is a real tragedy time has brought on you.

Unlike the previous year this year you don't seem to have received much negative reporting in the press.

It might be a good sign that things are so fine on all fronts and no mistakes and wrongs have been committed by you or by your team

Or you were able to silence the press and electronic media with which you are closely associated now and could have used your power which I can see in the coverage of your self trumpeting of your hospital surgeries in the THE HINDU.A news paper which makes a fake fight on PAID NEWS in politics but not on other fields.

Till the detailed bill as well as our balance have not reached us.

Can you pay some attention and do something on it?

Sincerely,
Somasundaram Narendran

Hi All

We had a terrible experience with Dr J s Raj kumar ..My mother underwent Laproscopic Herina surgery in 2007 ..Dr J.S RajKumar and tem performed the operation for more than 3 hours .After two days of the surgery my mothers's stomach got bloated then they removed some fluid from her stomach which was supposed to be removed before surgery .Then they suggested to removed mesh and perform open surgery .Those doctors did same faul paly in the surgery and wanted to repair that by doing a second surgery .Finally they did not do and my mother got discharged after 10 days .My mother's nervous system got affected due to surgey and she is still suffering .She cant walk properly and cant do any work .When we asked doctor he is saying my mother is physologically afftected and referred to physciathrist ..He is not a doctor at all .please all of stay away from hospital .They are money minded beast .I myself have met many ppl who are living a terrible life after surgery and some ppl have even died due to surgery ..Thease doctors are very very clever .They did not give the surgery CD to us ..They are coveing their mistake in such a way so that other doctors dont identify it ..Let us all join to gether and prevent other ppl from Dr J S RajKumar ..I am planning to inform media so that information goes to the whole world ..We should also take actions to cancel the degree of this fake doctor and make sure he does not practice agian ..

Let us all raise our voice ..
As a doctor, I can say pptic and duodnal ulcers are often silent and bleed or rupture when the body is under stress like a post operative state. So, cause of death was probably ruptured duodenal ulcer. It is not the fault of the surgeon, but overwhelming infection after contents of the gut are spilled into abdominal cavity from a ruptured duodenum. Treatment of sepsis is managed by ICU staff. It sounds like an unfortunate complication of an otherwise low risk surgery. NO surgery is without risk, and patients should be entitled to knowledge of risk versus benefit. But the complication(rupture of silent duodenal ulcer) may be have occurred in any hospital in any country. The treatment by cashier is a different matter and upsetting. But from the outset, the procedure in any country would be a low risk procedure in a low risk patient (without the knowledge of pre existant peptic ulcer). If the patient is known to have comorbidities before surgery, surgery is often not advised.

People without medical knowledge can perceive this as negligent. But in a court of law in a western country or a coroner, this is an unforseen complication, and any surgeon would advise the same
Dear friends, last December I registered a comment on this complaint about my Bad experience with Dr. J.S. Rajkumar's RIGID hospital where my father died . I dont see that here which means someone has fiddled with it. I will be back on this Dec 21 with the facts again - the 8th year of my father's death day in that small unhygienic junkyard like attic called ICU.
I'm making public my communication with Dr. Rajkumar asking him to provide our rightful Split bill for the treatment rendered at this RIGID hopital in which my father died.

There is no response all these years to the mails except a request last year to come and meet him in person to get things explained. Same came from his staff Mr. Vivek.

But I sent the mail this year asking him why there should be personal meeting as my prayers are asking for THE bill and return of excess charged and the observation of the sorry state of affairs in his hospital.

Last year the same was removed . I don't know how. I request moderator if some one reports spam please go through the comment and decide what is spam in it. You can contact me too...

Here goes the mail to Dr. J.S Rajkumar sent yesterday morning 21.12.13.

One more year has passed on this 21.12.2013 since the death of my father at your RIGID hospital junkyard like ICU.Please send our bills.

Dear Dr. J.S.Rajkumar,

With today 21.12.13 another year has crossed after the fateful incident of my father’s death at your junkyard like ICU on 21.12.2005.
Last year you have responded to my mail, the first in eight years, asking me to meet you to get things ‘explained’ and objecting to call your RIGID hospital ICU as junkyard as your ICU got ISO certification. Your administrator Mr Vivek too asked me to meet him to get an ‘ EXPLANATION’.

I started to write the response and postponed it to today because my simple prayers are/were asking you to give us our rightful split bill and the package details and return the excess charged and making observations of the sorry state of affairs at your RIGID hospital which could have speeded up my father’s death. Both of which never attracted your attention all these years in itself is self explanatory of the truthfulness of my observations. Your are either ignorant of the happenings in your hospital [ which could not be true as you claimed yourself to be an entrepreneur in interview given to Ramya Kannan of THE HINDU, then] or chose to ignore till my mails reached the public.
I do not feel my personal visit is necessary to get our rightful things. You can send the same through any of the means available to you which you chose not to do so far, TILL THIS MOMENT.

Instead my comments i.e publishing of the mails I sent to you all these years in consumer complaints got removed .You or your office could put some light on it.

If you are not ready to face fair and just criticism on/of your professional duties and some unprofessional ones of your management, it is very bad and shows how intolerant you could be.

Related to ISO certification of your ICU… If anyone has given a certificate of the RIGID hospitals ICU where mby father was treated from 16.12. 2005 to 21.12.2005 was of international standard I doubt his sanity and strongly feel that he might have got creased his palms heavily. I know what is of international standard. Period.

I do not know god’s existence. But if he does exist he is not with honest, ethical, Dharmic and simple people. He seems to have got himself sold to those greedy, dishonest, unethical, unprofessional, Adharmic thugs and doctors of TAMIL NADU. Because the second category is the one which is thriving at the cost of the first – especially in TamilNadu. No punishment to the guilty even in God’s court, leave alone the human courts which are for a price.

If you still believe in ethical medicine I request you to make a study tour of KERALA hospitals- govt .and private - with your trusted team to get a firsthand experience and implement the same in your entrepreneurial business.

Please do the needful to get me our rightful splitbill and other things at the earliest.
Sincerely,
Somasundaram Narendran 21.12.2013.
Enclosures of the previous communications:

Dear Dr. J.S. Raj kumar,

One more year has passed after that fateful day at your kilpauk junkyard called ICU where my father died under your teams care on 21.12.2005.

Despite mails to you every year your office which might place this mail for your perusal doesnt seem to care to send the proper bill and the balance.

There are reports and comments about the poor quality of service at your newly built hospital too. These are worrying and making me to reconsider about my very opinion on you.

I dont know whether you are really targeted by some of your enemies or you really been bad and people use these forums to vent their anguish and anger as they can do NOTHING against you, like us, or against your corrupt management.

I really hope well ... hoping against hopes ...that things may change and chennai may get some responsible and reliable and HONEST Drs. There are many talented Drs but almost all of them are very greedy as well as fraudulent. They misuse the faith the patient has on him to the hilt with such a lust for money.

You love to take credit for your good deeds and you love to pose for photos whereever your part of philonthrophy is high lighted.NOTHING WRONG in this present day world .

SHOW the same attitude in relation to Quality of Service, Proper and just Billing and honest and customer friendly Adiministration which works for the good of you as well as the good of your clients. CHANGE THE THINGS TOWARDS these. Otherwise the time will never forgive for all these misdeeds, I personally feel.

WE HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED OUR SPLIT BILL or NOT RETURNED the OVERHARGES.

Dear Dr. J.S.

Sincerely, Narendran.S

unfortunately on 21.12.2005 evening 6 pm despite your best efforts . This is a long pending mail which I try to send NOW. Hope this reaches you safely and you read it in full and do the needful I write this after reaching from pondicherry to chennai.I came to know
from Mr SRIDHAR--- our well wisher and family friend who brought us
to you -- that you and your dad have kindly awarded some financial
assistance through the trust run by you.I express my thankfulness for
this gesture and good samariton. The content
of this mail contains my observation about the condition of the
hospital in three aspects 1.The ICU, 2. The Administration and 3. The
Rates. There are some typos but other than them nothing need
to be changed, I feel. Personally
I feel they need your immediate attention. If you find some time to read
it in full with your hectic schedule it would be of great help. If you
do the needful that will be much more helpful. But I dont know whether this mail will reach you. Anyway it is my duty to send this as I want you to serve more and more people with more efficiency and more compassion . With love Narendran.S

Vijaya Raghavan the nephrologist who
initiated the dialysis.

Actually I wanted to write this mail in a happy note after my dad's
discharge from your hospital after getting cured completely which we
all believed to happen .

As you made in your observation before you enter into your OP on that
fateful evening the so called GOD has WISHed in the other way which
is still unbearable.Im not able to understand the whole meaning of
this in a spiritual way even though me or for that matter my dad are
not afraid of death.

Except that Dr Vijaya raghavan whoprescribed a 24 hrs dialysis first
and subsequent ones after some gaps suddenly proceeded further and
continued the dialysis claiming that the patient was stable ---there
was nothing unusual in the whole treatment I feel. I must respect HIS
opinion - even though I dont know the logic- since everyone in the
team wanted to save my dad.I still dont know what could have happened
if he had proceeded as per his original plans.May be the same could have happened in a
delayed way or NOT too.

Anyway with all respect to all involved I wanted to share some of my
opinions about the overall things which I witnessed during my stay
there as the attendent for my dad...

I know my vocabulary woud have showed so much of my happniess had I
wrote this after my dad's complete recovery and it may not be so when
I'm writing this one with so much of sorrow and
dejection about my dad's sudden demise. But I request you to take this in the right perspective as my intention is for the betterment of the all onvolved - the patients and
the medical fraternity.

Starting from the ambulance --the worst one ever one can find --- which infact could have speeded up the worsening of my dad's condition to the non ventilated ICU which further made him fast to depend on ventilator nothing gave us pleasant feeling except your
force and confidence. We all beleived from your vigour that my dad will return home safe which failed .I still couldnt comrehend why it should have happened the way it has happened.

Anyway There are three things which need your immediate attention...
1 the ICU
2 the billing /the accounts
3the Rates/ the Charges

The overall condition of the ICU in which he was kept during the whole period is much desired as it is very noicy, stinky and untidy and the AC was not kept in on all the time.I intervened the first day but I stopped as there is no use in insisiting as people are giving
some lame excuses for their actions.

The hygiene condition is much compromised .

The nurses were very much co operative except one named Elizebeth who was a real pain to all working there .She was very rough to all including with us .All the time I used to pray nothing should happen to my dad during her shift .

The Dhanvandhri blood bank staff are so insensitive to the icu that they were least bothered even after my repeated requests not to do so and they were entering the icu with their fancy dress with so much dampness and wetness and sitting and conducting their money business inside the
icu with the attendents like me .For reasons better known to them the nurses are not able to rein on them from doing this even after my repeated requsts.

With some experience in getting treatment for our family in a world class super speciality hospital I know a little about the way the icu's are kept .How sterile they would be. Nothing such I found there in our hospital. The space is very less and they are trying to accommodate many a
things in a verysmall place which makes it very clumsy.

The lighting inside the icu was very bad which was disturbing the patient very much. If some one lying idle watching the TUBELIGHT with open eyes or closed eyes - without any escape- will defenitely get its bad impact, I feel.

The matron of the icu wants to conduct her classes and teach the nurses just a few steps away from the icu and the nurses wants to dicuss about the patient just two steps away from the bed. There is not much of a leg room to move around .

The wearing of the various protective cloths like face mask etc are very much optional and patient as well as the workers are very much prone to infection.

The ward boys and the security outside needs to be more sensitive to their noice making and to the attendents requirements which is very much lacking.

So many rules to GOVERN the visiters without much facility gives them real hardship to understand the meaning behind those rules. There is no place to stretch ones leg during the nights or stay in good condition during day for the attendents and just one or two toliet for all
those visiting as well as working .

I'm not against treating the HIV -AIDS patients but keeping them inside the ICU with the others seems to be not that great idea, I feel .I know atleast one was kept along with my dad .If some mixing happens in that small room since it is very much prone to it and a nurse like elyzebeth who is untrustworthy it would bring very dangerous results I feel.

And as I said earlier there is much improvements needed immediately in that ICU for the benefit of all.If you dont mind I may say that the ICU in our hospital is not greater than the one in any of the government hospitals.

And I must say that despite with all these adverse conditions the Drs as well as the para staff like the nurses and the boys gave a sincere and devoted efforts in their attempts to save my dad.

The second one is the billing section...

Despite their cordial and friendly handling of the people, which happened in our case after my brother reached the right person after so many phone calls and personal visits and on the 7th day after the death of my dad...this one is totally UNPROFESSIONAL.

Considering various facts about the way one is charged for the treatment and services in the hospital this section should work MORE promptly and professionally..

In our case...

We STILL dont KNOW and have not been given what would be there in a PACKAGE under which my dad was treated ... ( We were told before operation that our package is
Rs. 1, 10, 00and were asked to pay 50% before the start of the operation. I must acknowledge that except for medicine and outside test and blood we were not asked to pay in advance any amount.)

We were given a HAND written list of services and charges which doesn't have any levearage for MEDICINE as well as the STAY of the patient in the hospital .

Having done some research in the package system some time back for my dad for his by pass surgery I have never come across a package which doesnt give the minimum period
of stay in the bed-- pre operation as well as post operation including in the icu.

When asked about this we were told that our hopital doesnt have the icu within the package. It is really SURPRISING.

When we found out there are some errors in the billing which made us to pay for ventilation as well as oxygen for the same period which is like asking to pay two times for one and the same service which we DID they accepted the mistake and came up with another heading and were asking us to pay more than what YOU have asked my brother to pay after reducing some of your charges (i.e it came at Rs50, 000 after deducting the advance was 60, 000 which my brother paid before getting NOC.)

It is like... ok you found out OUR mistake now pay penalty for that ...

When my brother asked them to come up with proper figure before talking to you before he
leaves for his job they agreed. BUT DIDN’T COMPLY. MY brother left without meeting you, WITHOUT GETTING a detailed bill which is the case till this moment .If I'm correct till
this moment--- The correction I make in this letter now is on o6.02.2006.Till this day I guess my home didnt get the detailed bill or atleast till 14.Jan 2006 the day I left home to pondicherry where I stay put.

And they were not yet able to give us the split for the originally claimed package ( Rs 1.10 lacs) claiming that that will disturb them with tax people which could not be so as no tax man can charge for mere quotations. As far as I know they may charge only on the ACTUALS.
I guess by not making available the detailed bill the accounts department works overtime (sic) to make a100% tax free income from my dad's death...

Even after my brother has expalined them and requested them to complete the whole process and get an appointment with you to request for some help THEY HAVE NOT YET COMPLETED their work . My brother left on 03. 01. 2006 without getting the complete bill for what he paid.

Please remember It is solid 2 weeks after my dad's death at our hospital.

Each and every penny we borrowed to settle our account on the dotted date and time ...But we are not given a bll till this date...(I surely believe from the way the accounts department works that I can find out many more discrepancies and mistakes in the bill if I have the split bill with me )

I dont know whether you are able to see any PROFESSIONALISM in this even though the charges we paid are MANY A TIMES MORE THAN what I would have paid in a world class hospital had I got that MISSED opportunity .

3.The rates ...

I would like to see these two -- the icu and the accounts –problem with the charges we were asked to PAY and the payments received from us.

No two things are alike, I agree .THERE IS NO NEED FOR COMARISONS.

But when asked why the rates should be like this I was told that the rates of other hospitals like Apollo ete are taken into consideration before fixing RIGID's rates.

With these as back ground I can bring to your kind attention some startling facts which I told to Dr Durai murugan before I leave our hospital with my dad's dead body.

We know what my dad's problem is /was and what should be done and where we must go for that.

Due to my dad's misplaced superstitious belief that he should get operated only after we shifted to the new found house from the previous one------ we were waiting. But we were never able to make it as his condition gone out of our control slowly but swiftly and our innocence complicated.

This is my opinion formed after a decade and half living experience in this city as a citizen and as journalist .

I never advice people to get treated in chennai instead I advice them where to go as I KNOW atleast one.

But There are very few EXCEPTIONS .In some aspects your TEAM and YOU are exceptional. YOU and YOUR team are atleast honest to what you do. YOU people have sincerely tried to save my dad WHICH we didn’t see in the two hospitals were my dad was admitted before reaching you. You and your team claim to be DARING and it is true too and many a private doctors of the city do not come nearer to you on this aspect leave alone matching it. You can extent this professional daringness to the rates too...If you ask me WHY????

...

During the year[protected] we did settle for one hospital named AMRITA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCS at Edapally Kochi for my Dad's By-pass surgery .It took us nearly a month to complete our research .We went there and talked with the best surgeon in INDIA who is daring LIKE YOU and very much compassionate and forthright in revealing information. My dad got operated there .The package included three nights in the icu.Four grafts were done. As my dad liked the ICU as well as the room I persuaded the docter to allow him to stay for
more days.Even through the package was for 10 days we over stayed for 5 more days .The total bill came to 97.000 INR and we were returned the balance money 13, 000 from 1, 10, 000 we paid.

The package hasn't changed much even today.

We were asked before billing whether we need any financial subsidy which we refused to accept and told them the money we paid was much much lower than what we could have paid had we opted for Chennai hospital without any guarantee for my dad's recovery. For the five star facility and so much compassion to the patient we paid NOTHING I told .When enquired I found out that they are not making any loss from the money we paid and they make a little PROFIT too.

And for my dad's Diverticulosis too we had the estimation and it was/is just peanuts when compared to the expenses we incurred in chennai. Just Rs.43, 000 /-for the whole operation including ICU and 14- 18 days stay in the hospital, I guess. It is for the non AC seperate
room. I dont need to repeat that the facility is UNMATCHED .NOT a SINGLE chennai hospital can match their facitlity . Their care. Their compassion and there Dedication and also their ability .

You are really talented. There is no doubt about it. You are daring to save the lives .It is also unmatched. But some thing I want to bring to your attention which need a positive consideration from you for the benefit of all...

I dare to say this just because

YOU CLAIM TO TRY TO WALK ON THE EIGHT FOLD PATH...

I dont write this type of mail to Dr K. Narasingka Reddy of Vijaya Hospitall who cared less for my dad and more for the money we pay.The nature will take care of him as well as the other one who blundered just by keeping my dad at his nursing home without knowing what to do
just for money sake.

As I have explained above I have a strong feeling that WE were very much OVERCHARGED for lesser facilities.

We spent nearly 3.25 lacs( 2.15 lacs for medicine and blood and the res(1.10)t for the stay and Dr. fees ) JUST for SIX days stay in our hospital .

Somehow nature has allowed us to borrow so much money in that short span. We all have to work hard for years to REPAY the debt. What about the others who cannot afford.

For that matter take myself.I have same or similar trouble in my colon and rectum. I know you are the right person to get treated from.

BUT YOU ARE UNAFFORDABLE to me. And not only to mein fact many a people who wants better treatment for a reasonable rate with proper facility cannot afford you .

HereI would like to bring to your attention one interesting thing. Dr. Ashok kumar the cardiologist who visited my dad on the first day evening explained about the complexity and the
high cost involved in and PROMISED me that THEY will HELP us in some ways in reducing the cost. After that he just visited few times for his OP and we were charged Rs2500 for his services.I really dont know why it should be so high and what has happened to the HELP he promised but forgot to extend .

When My dad commented to the Amrita Hospital Surgeon that the VERY much Popular CITY cardiologist charges Rs.1500 per visit I shunned him and shouted at him that He was painting bad picture and EXAGGERATING. ... NO ... He DIDNT...He was correct as HE USED TO
BE IN ALL HIS OTHER observations. The city heart specialists are heartless specialists we used to joke.

So your rates are high and the rates do not match the facilities given.

I'm getting a rhetoric that indian hospitals charge less COMPARED to the west...This is TOTALLY ridiculous ...

1.NONE of the indian Docters spend the money western docters spend to become such a one. Instead they suck the subsidy given by the government s. i.e TAX PAYER’S MONEY.
2.Indian citizens are not protected with insurance as is the case with west .

The hospitals which RUN in INDIA for INDIANS with POOR INDIAN STANDARDS cannot have a western pricing.

And not many an indian hospitals match the western standards in all aspects. Certainly the hospital where my dad was treated under your care DONOT match any western standard.
But your rates are too high . Even the DEADLY Vijaya Hospital charges 60% lesser than you for the ICU. Further I know there is big trade commission involved in medicines. When people like us who want to spend money to get treated with the rare expensive medicines it is natural to expect to get reduction in pricing from the huge profits made out of the sales .But we were charged during my dad's treatment to the last penny. Not a single penny got reduced.

I know none of the points I raised is NEW to you as you could have witnessed much much more than what I have seen as you are a professional and further you are not just a first generation educated .

YOU CARRY the torch for the third generation. So certainly you KNOW about these all.

So where can people like me those who know a little bit about their rights and want to get some quality treatment for each penny we spend can go and get treated.

WHY WE SHOULD NOT COME TO YOU WHEN YOU HAVE THE TALENT and the
efficient team to provide the treatment?

Finding a good docter is like witnessing death. At my dad's death we found that you have some qualities of a good DR. So make yourself affordable and give us the facilitites rightful to us for the charges we are expected to pay.I'm not asking to subsidise your cost.We are willing to pay for the facilities and wish that you Make profit at a reasonable rate. The case explained above certainly do not qualify either with quality or reasonable prifit making is the opinion I have.

And Further please do the needful to get us our bill and rectify the discrepancies in the billing and ask your people to return our hard earned money whatever little it could be as you have NO RIGHT OVER IT.

With Love
Narendran Somasundaram,

Dr Rajkumar and his family can not escape from GOD if all this is true. As far as I know most of the doctors are now money minded and whatever they do for money will come with them with interest during their olden days and they will suffer from all the diseases in the world.

Dear All,

My name is Anantharaman, aged 25 years. For the past 3 years I am suffering Hemorroids. I was not able to concentrate my work, hence I resigned my Bank job. I saw Dr. Raj kumar's speech and his wonderful views online Hence, I tried Life Line hospital for his treatment. I was suggested to operate. I had a divine touch with the Hospital. & blessed with his hands of Doctor J S Rajkumar. Many thanks to Life line ..
Hello, Iam Elango, I heard about Lifeline hospital at Kilpauk, chennai and its chairman, Dr.J.S.Rajkumar.We went to the hospital for a treatment. The hospital is great in all its aspects such as, excellent medical facilities, best team of surgeons headed by Dr.J.S.Rajkumar, hygenic conditions and courteous and kind para-medical staff. The operation was conducted in such efficient manner, that we were wondering wheather operation was possible in such a shortest time. The ultimate result was quickest recovery time and we were happy about it. We congratulate Dr.J.S.Rajkumar and his team to continue this yeomen service to mankind to many more years to come . We pray that the hospital has to grow as an institution to serve the humanity in the near future.

This is the reminder to Dr. J.S. Rajkumar about the death of my father in his junkyard like ICU at his RIGID hospital on 21.12.2005 evening and NOT RECEIVING THE SPLIT BILL YET.

Dear Dr. J.S Rajkumar,

Good Morning.

We have not yet received the split bill for the treatment you and your team gave my father who died on 21.12.2005 and the exorbitant money we paid.

I must remind you one interesting thing of your staff. your hospital was not having some blood testing facility at that time, may be ''creatinine'' for which you depended on other people. [Like for PLASMA you then depended on DHANVANTHRI whose sales guy was doing business inside that attic ICU with his dampened rain coats on without caring about any infection he carries inside]

So everyday afternoon they gave me my father's blood and I would rush to Anna nagar Shanti colony TVS hospital and I used to pay rs 300 as fee and return with the result.
When this is the condition during then in those 6 days treatment, when I pointed out about the double billing for one service and other major discrepancies the staff who visited our home then took out a NEW bill while leaving claiming that they FORGOT to give and these were the BLODD test charges... how much do you know? Rs.17, ooo and above I guess[ seventeen].

I simply asked that gentleman didn't he think that was a fake to counter our/my findings .

When you did not have a facility for a 3oo rs test in six days what blood test they could have conducted for this much amount? This was amounting to fraud. He wanted to counter me with a fake bill as I caught RIGID red-handed I accused. That person KEPT quiet with some mumbling and did not even say a word and always kept his head low and left.

Those 6 days were RAINY days.

Like this year that year also there was heavy rain and the city was cut off from rest of the state at ULUNDURPET for about 15-20days till 21st evening and after my father death there was some drizzling till 22nd while we proceeded to crematorium. It as continuous raining while my father was in HOSPITALS.No rain after his cremation.

I was not allowed to take him to AIMS Edapally, all my attempts towards that were scuttled by NATURE and always made to go one worst dr to another greedy till his death.Dr. Sridharan of Kedhar mugalivakkam and Dr.K. Narasinghareddy of Vijaya now at Apollo and finally you.

What was the lesson when we already know the truth that CHENNAI drs are not trust worthy and should not get treated here? I don't know. May be Nature's conspiracy.

So in the last one year after my previous reminder...

You have become more active with social media to MARKET YOURSELF AGGRESSIVELY. It reminds me of actor vadivelu's dialogues.

I see so much and so many inspired comments since last year in this forum which do not make any positive sense. I can easily smell the rat from their stereotypes.A cursory look easily identifies them as planted.

I have requested you to visit KERALA to make a study tour on MEDICAL ethics and professionalism which you seemed not have done, I believe. I have plenty of experiences in this one year taking people even for consultation. All private Super specialty hospitals even Muslim Entrepreneurs are roaring apart from traditional Christian and Hindu. EACH time they excel my expectations and my set standards.

NO fake reports or fraudulent billing. No misleading, misguiding advises. Honest to the core, Ethical to the last bit and compassionate in every drop of their blood. Malayalis who are bad examples in many other things enviably excel here.

They charge just nearly at the half or much less of what I would have paid the Chennai and TAMILNADU sharks who just suck out the blood of the patient and his family like a Dracula in the name of charges.

Nothing is going to change in the near future with Medical fraternity of TN as they are fully insulated and immune to any danger and thick skinned to the core. Govt and other agencies also are on their side. Glaring example : MIOT. 14-18 lives lost . NO ACCOUNTABILITY. BLAME GAME.

The sooner the change happens the better for the hapless, innocent, honest, law abiding and simple patients who trust Drs like gods.I wish and pray those honest, ethical drs who are in dormant should come out and cleanse this filth from within.

Please do the needful to send us OUR RIGHTFUL SPLIT BILL AND REPAY THE EXCESS RECEIVED.

Yours Sincerely,
Somasundaram Narendran
I read Mr.Devan from UK, experience about his loved wife death and cheated by Dr. Raj kumar Life line hospital. My deep condolence to Mr.Devan, May god give strength to Deven family. I am victim of Dr.Rajkumar and his hospital team daylight robbery . I would like to share my father death during 2002 at Kilpauk Rigid Hospital own by Dr. Rajkumar.

My Loved father was admitted for continues vomiting at Rigit Hospital located at kilpauk during Nov 2002. My father is well except continues vomiting and regular heart problem he can speak to us and eat normal. Once the treatment initiated my father was became worst due to hospital authority treatment, Like Ramana tamil movie. The duty doctors took endoscopy before that she asked us to pay Rs. 500 due to that my father became worst condition, I do not know what they really did. Every 3 hours they ask us to buy medicine from particular pharmacy (I came to know that pharmacy would provide commission to Nurse and doctors whoever recommending ) We spend lot not sure why the medicine prescription give every 1 to 2 hours and it became repeatedly. Dr Rajkumar speak confident about his treatment and he can say now is improving, we can say patient condition after 24hrs / 48 hrs and later on he could say critical condition. They not even diagnosis the exact illness for my father. They keep on doing many test, lap report, Xray, Scan etc.. they main motive to loot money from innocent patient. The service of nurse and doctors lack of communication but Government hospital is better than Rigit hospital.l Not sure what happen to my father finally my priceless father was dead. Their worst treatment cause severe heart problem and final result is death. They collect Rs. 1 Lakhs for hospital charges. My sincere advice is please don’t approach to specific hospital and Dr. Rajkumar

Regards
R.Kannan
Dr Js Rajkumar is only the wrose doctor in India they always mesmerise the patient I also seriously suffered from that bleady Raj Kumar and I have all the evidence to slap that Raj Kumar so I am going to take an action on him so all we can join we will do it so please join with me my email ID is [protected]@gmail.com

i am also suffered killer rajikumar.my mail id [email protected]
One more year has passed. No split bill has reached .And he is roaming all around as if a messiah of medicine . Does GOD exist? I guess not ... if he does then he is with these culprits only and NOT with honest people.

Last year during floods he TREATED the POOR at the GRT star hotel and MALLS who visited there to buy match boxes and beedis, it seems and he claims they numbered around 3000. Poors are having their stay at *hotels and buy their groceries from malls and India's Ache Din has arrived it seems. What a crap he tries to portray.
Nothing is going to change unless there is a strong stick is found to lash the unethical medical professionals and punishment should be here and NOW. Like demonetization there should be decommissioning o[censored]nethical Drs instantaneously. The more they thrive the more the destroy the society.
Avoid this hospital at all cost..Rajkumar is the assistant of lord yama ..even recently he killed one lady by performing bariatric surgery ..beware of Lima or lifeline rigid hospital ..
Dr rajkumar is a good doctor. Problem is he is too busy, lot of work for him. He wakes up at 3 am and sleep at 12. He runs behind records. He is a surgeon so thinks of all solution through surgery. He started treating vvip and most of them take his personal time. there are people who put money into hospital for profits.

My father had cancer and died. Though we used to wait for 3 hours even after getting appointment. He was positive when he met father.

He is a doctor who takes risks and performs risky stuff. I suggest he rediscovers his innerself and ask himself inside him that doctor he is inside(without his vvip and records).
rajikumar is not doctor.he is killer.
First off please don't trust the word International. This hospital facility is not even district level, see the pics. Second I see only training doctors fresh out of college. I haven't met one Sr.Dr atleast I didn't feel who ever I spoke is a senior doctor. Worst part the hospital staff gives an estimate of RS.95000 for 3 days treatment but the original bill is ₹25000. What an estimation calculator they have ??? Pictures will speak more. Stay away from this hospital if you can !!

Rajkumar is a criminal by himself and he has fled the united states long time back fearing legal action against him.His son is now studying to become a doctor in some private college by paying huge money and he will also one day kill people like his dad.If you want to stay alive to share all the happiness with your family, never ever go to Rajkumar. He is the lord yama in disguise. Please do not feel that I am wrinting all these things just because I lost my dad.I want everyone to take my experiences as a lesson and avoid him because after all'it is for our life we are struggling for' and you dont want to lose it to one cheating hospital run by a fraud.

This hospital is similar to the one shown in ramana movie.they will treat even dead bodies for damn money

I have also witnessed similar situations. The charges are very high and according to the type of rooms we choose. Moresoever if there is an Insurance Coverage, the bill would just multiply. On one side they loot, on the other side they are highly indisciplined, no punctuality, would direct us to take all tests possible on earth and its a pathetic situation we are in since there is no mechanism in India to counter these issues. Its quite common for hospitals to do something and get away including careless surgeries and ultimate deaths. We continue to get complaints about Lifeline from someone or the other and we normally advise friends to go to some other hospital
Well, fortunately or unfortunately that's the case with all the big hospitals. But that's not just the attitude in India, its the same way all over the world. When the hospitals know that you are covered under insurance, they make the best of it and do all the tests possible. At the end of the test the sometimes do incorrect diagnosis or make way for future money making. It has happened to me in a leading hospital in Chennai where I got admitted for stomach pain. It was gastroenteritis and I was tested for everything else possible. Though the treatment was successful, I was told that I have some big time problem in my uterus and that I may not be able to conceive. Common sense ruled ignorance and I took second opinion from a renowned gyno in Chennai only to know I was perfectly normal. Had I gone with the big hospital's diagnosis, I wonder where it all would have ended. This hospital that I am talking about has been in Chennai for more than 2 decades. Take enough references and also take many opinions before getting admitted for treatment.
hello, i am saran, once my friend who got stomach pain continuosly for few years, we consulted to local doctors and they say it is appendicitis and they operated, but after that also no pain stopped, when we go to the doctor he told nothing problem, so i planned to consult dr j s rajkumar, he asked to take ct scan, we taked and it shows a cyst in the abdomen and he operated and removed it successfully, so dont think that doctors are all especially dr j s rajkumar are money minded, please dont make nuisance like this as favour of some other peoples.
Dr like jsr are only knows the money value, please save all our family ones from these kind of terrorist doctor.
please dont make nuisance about Dr.J.S.Rajkumar he is a good person it is real.
Dear All,

Sooriya hosptial is located in Saligramam, Chennai, their aim is grab money, they are money minded, cheating to patients, they asked me to pay the fees for my DAD, he was admitted in good health with minor asthma problem, after few days they admitted in ICU, everyday they need 15- 20k, we are middle class family, we we cant bear the expenses even though we paid around some lakhs. when i said we dont have money to pay further, the next day they said your father is in last moment and this is his last day. I asked the Drs. the reason, I know they are hiding something. even the particular DR gone on leave, at last I lost my Dad.
PLEASE HELP OTHER STOP GOING TO SOORYA HOSPITAL AT SALIGRAMAM, CHENNAI,

WILL THE GOVERNMENT WILL TAKE ACTION ?
OR I WILL SATISFY MYSELF AS I AM DOING SERVICE FOR HUMANITY.
Hi, Dr rajkumar is seriously money minded. We had an intestinal operation for my dad and had to stay there for almost 3 weeks but no cure. They said, the package for the operation is Rs 60, 000 but ended up paying 4 lakhs when discharging. we had argument with the GM vivek. Once u r admitted and if they know u r wealthy, they will start to suck all your money. This guy called, Vivek, GM of Llifeline hospital in perungudi and he is the worst of all. He will not show any simpathy and all he wants is money and money. Vivek. I hate this guy.
Dear Mr.Mohamed Deen,

Before Vivek a another G.M. was their Mr.Kabaleeshwaran, (that time Vivek was asst. manager and owned a small hospital nearby.) before that Mr.Androz Maharaja was their if you want a real story about the surgeon you can contact and meet him personally they well tell stories about the hospitals.
