I am filing this complaint against Livspace for causing an unreasonable and unexplained delay in starting my home interior project, despite my having fulfilled all payment requirements in time.
Details of the Issue
I engaged Livspace for home interior services for my residence located at (your address).
As per their terms, I was required to pay 60% of the total project cost for the work to begin.
I made this payment on 1st November 2025, thereby fulfilling their stated condition.
However, Livspace did not begin the work immediately.
The work began only on 19th November 2025, resulting in a 19-day delay.
This delay has caused significant inconvenience, disruption to my move-in timelines, and financial losses
Livspace claims the project completion timeline is 45 days from the date work starts. Because of their unnecessary delay in starting, the overall completion is now pushed further out, affecting me unfairly.
I repeatedly asked for an explanation regarding the late start, but I have not received satisfactory justification for the delay.
Why This Is a Deficiency of Service
I complied fully with the company’s requirements (60% advance payment).
Livspace failed to honor their commitment to begin work promptly.
No valid written or formal reason was provided for the delay.
This constitutes deficiency in service as defined under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Relief Sought
I request the Consumer Forum to direct Livspace to:
Provide a written explanation for the 19-day delay in commencing work.
Compensate me for the inconvenience, loss of time, and any financial impact caused by the delay.
Ensure strict adherence to revised and committed timelines going forward.
Any other order deemed appropriate in the interest of justice.
