[Resolved] Bank Of India (Kerkend Branch Dhanbad) — Not giving Interest Waiver- Education Loan Taken below 4 lakhs | |||
Dear Sir, I took education loan in Aug 2009 of amount 2.50 lakhs, As per the government rule passed recently no interest is to be charged on loans below 4 lakhs for those candidates whose father's annual income is below 4 lakhs. I placed a request regarding the same in Bank i.e Bank of India (Kerkend Branch) from which i took loan in September 2012, but i have not received any positive response from them till date.Instead of providing me waiver they are pressurizing me to pay the Interest at any cost in just 1 month i.e. before 31st December 2012. Please help me ,please suggest what should i do now. Was this information helpful? | |||
Apr 18, 2019 Complaint marked as Resolved Received call from Banking omsbud RBI, they further directed bank to provide waiver I was eligible for and also allowed me to pay emi's I. Small installments | |||

Education Loan — No interest waiver
I have taken a education loan with Indian Bank , but there is no interest waiver . Course is - Bsc Nautical Science at Vels college . My family income is less that 4.5 lakhs per annum . Need your help on the same.
