MagicBricks — Fraud by PG owner after taking money

Me and my friend got a PG lead on the official website under the name: Paying Guest House PG Boys and Girls/Hostels. Property ID: 299041 The property details included information of the different flats available under the owner name of Mohan. It shows that there are total of 450 beds available under this owner with variety of occupancy and prices available. It was shown that he is a verified partner on MagicBricks and we received his number from the website.
We proceeded to call him and got videos of the flat sent to us. We liked the property and paid him the amount of rs. 3000 each (total 6000) in the name of booking amount. Once we both had paid, he called us both saying that he needs us to pay the 4500rs as well in order to reflect in his merchant account. We proceeded with the payment on the same id. He then sent an ss of a payment processing and asked us to pay 7500 more and promised that he will pay the 12000 rs back as soon as the payment is reflected in the merchant account. We sensed that he was a fraud and decided to question him on his dubious process. he said that it is a transaction error and that if we want to book we must send 7500 each again. We decided to cancel the booking and asked for a refund which he had said.
He said that he will raise a refund email and our payment will be refunded under 24 hours. He did not send the screenshot of the refund email initiation. Since then he has been making excuses and not taking our calls.
