MagicBricks — Wrongful tagging of the owner as verified by Magicbricks.

I was looking for a budget PG in the area near Bandra, Mumbai. Thus leading to the website of Magic bricks after looking in for few days i came in contact with a person named Gaurav Sharma ( phone number [protected] ) on 31th March 2022 and his property ( property ID: 259085 ) was tagged as "Partner verified" hence i trusted the person. His number was verified on truecaller too. After talking with Gaurav the token amount of Rs 2000/- was deposited in his account through QR code send by him through whatsapp. He once again asked for Rs 5000/- ( which was the agreed rent ) so to make the bill of Rs 7000/- and said that Rs 5000/- would be refunded immediately. After depositing the total amount of Rs 7000/- he told that his 'merchant bank account' ( UPI ID: bharatpe[protected]@yesbankltd ) is not allowed to make a transaction under ten thousand rupees, sensing that something is wrong i decided to cancel the booking and asked him to refund the Rs 7000/-. He wouldnt do it as his bank account wont allow transaction under ten thousand rupees so i again deposited Rs 3000/- in his account. I was still under the idea that he was a legit owner of the property as he was and still is a "partner verified" on the website. Once the amount of Rs 3000/- went through he sent a message with a link and a QR code to claim the total Rs 10000/- i deposited in his account. The QR code and link was fake and he blocked me. I only contacted this person because he was verfied by magic bricks otherwise i wouldnt had. Please make sure that Magic bricks remove the property to prevent more people falling into this trap.
