Mahadiscom / MSEB / MSEDCL — msedcl connection permanently disconnected

My home was closed for a year however have paid the bill whenever bill was raised.
The connection is showing as permanently disconnected.
I have called the customer care and they have asked for new connection application.
Why new connection is required if i have one connection?
The meter is still connected and not removed, if meter was removed then you may have asked for application for a new connection.
My meter is in place and in working status.
Pls confirm the procedure to enable the connection.

Updated by robincy12 You may also confirm with the neighbourhood that our house is not totally closed however is open on every Sunday. If we are coming at this house for every Sunday then how can we ask for temporary disconnection and for permanent disconnection, no notice was served to us with acknowledgements
