Mahadiscom / MSEB / MSEDCL — Unreasonable and wrong electricity consumption bill for the month march-June,2020 is rs 22500/-

I the undersigned is consumer of MSEDCL residing at Chetna nagar, nasik-422009 and having n Consumer number[protected]. Only two persons i.e Me and my Husband are staying the home since last 16 years and average monthly consumption of electricity comes to 247 Units and average bill amount Rs. 1800/- maximum per month.

Whereas, the MSEDCL has issued electricity consumption bill Rs. 22500/- for the period[protected] to[protected], which very high, wrong and and beyond imagination. under any circumstances we two retired persons cannot consume such high electricity in the residential premises. Our total consumption for the period April 2019 to march 2020 is 2968 Units and Bill amount Rs. 26, 540=00 and accordingly average consumption per month comes to 247 units and bill amount Rs. 2211=00 only.

From the data provided above and the practical situation elaborated that this is residence and we two retired persons are staying in the house, the amount charged in the bill for said period is exorbitant and completely wrong

I visited local office with this complaint, however the concerned person without considering my submission has simply stated that, "the meter reading is correct and I have to pay the amount as mentioned in the bill, If you want you can check the meter in the Nasik road office or check your wiring" and he denied to accept my written complaint. I surprised and shocked the method of consumers problems resolution!!

As me and my husband are retired persons, we cannot afford to pay such exorbitant and unreasonable amount of bill, for which we have not consumed electricity. Our survival is only on the pension I am getting, my husband is not getting any pension.

As an average bill amount per month around Rs. 2211=00 and the difference of bill amount paid during the month of April and may, 2020 Rs. 1580/- and 187/- respectively, I am depositing rs. 3150=00 on account.

Prayer:
I humbly request you to pleas look into the matter seriously and reduce the bill to average amount of Rs. 3150=00. I also request you to do not disconnect my electricity supply or /and do not take any coercive action, which cause me inconvenience and affect my fundamental rights till the problem get resolve legally and satisfactorily. Please do the needful.
