Mahindra And Mahindra — poor service and unskilled manpower | |||
Hi, I bought an xuv 500 (New generation) last year dated 28-nov-2016, the initial sales experience was poor as until the very last day of delivery, i had booked the dolphin grey colour, however i was insisted to buy a white colour instead as the showroom staff called me up twice to say that although they had kept a booking of dolphin grey colour but they were not able to get one for me. And since, i was firm with the colour i wanted to buy, they got me the dolphin grey colour on the date of delivery from some other showroom (I made the booking at shiva mahindra, parparganj industrial area delhi, the vehicle thet got delivered was already into a 130 km run state and beared a sticker from koncept mahindra, vasant kunj delhi). The problematic part — At 4400 km (Approximately), i went to the service center for 1st free service and sat there to get my xuv serviced in my presence only, with a normal complain of screeching sound that could be heard even on slight application of brakes. I found that the hub part of all the wheels appears to be rusted, on pointing the same to nitin (Employee of koncept mahindra service center, noida, sector 64), i was assured that, its a normal thing with mahindra cars (Rust part), so they applied some anti rust solutions and rubbed the rusted part with sand papers and delivered the car to me. The next day i called them up complaining the same problem of screeching sound upon application of brakes, i was again invited to the service center and this time, they changed the disc pads of front wheels (Under warranty) and assured me that the problem has been solved. I drove the car for another 5000 km before i complained them again of the same problem, and at 9980 km, went to the service center for 2nd free service, this time i was assisted by kawinder (Employee of koncept mahindra service center, noida, sector 64), this time i left my car with them for the service and collected the same by noon, on asking about if the problem has been resolved, i received the statement that there was a maaza pet bottle present under the driver's seat which was half filled and while brakes were applied, the liquid inside it produced the sound. As a matter of fact, my xuv is driven by me only and i dont drink maaza, i still believed them, the next day i called up kawinder stating the sceeching sound problem is still persisting and went to the service center again the very next day, again a sand paper was rubbed to remove rust and while i was having a chat with kawinder, he said that - "sir gaadi to nayi hi mili hai aapko, par delivery se pehle kitne din gaadi yard mein rahi hai ye ni pata na". (This was his statement upon my question that how can a new car's hub get rusted in 5-6 months of time as my car gets parked under covered parking only with office or residential premised). Now i feel cheated as mahindra delivered me a defective vehicle and there service staff is unable to identify the problem and provide a satisfactory solution upon service. For reference, i am attaching the pictures of hub i took while the car was open at the service center. I hope that mahindra is able to resolve this problem at the earliest.
