Hi Mr. Kalra,
This is with ref. to my recent bus booking with ID NU[protected]. As you can see from the screenshot and obviously your record is that the booking was towards travelling by an AC Volvo semi-sleeper bus with an assigned seat. However, what actually came from my travel was a tempo traveller???? I was in rude shock!!!
This completely ruined my travel for various reasons:
- Firstly, I book a bus for any sort of night travel because it permits me to sleep during the travel saving me a day. But I could not sleep even for a minute
- The roads are so bad that the drive was very choppy - it would have been convenient in a bus
- My luggage was kept next to me as the tempo traveller had no provision to keep my bag in the boot.
- The driver was smoking-up with some co-passengers. and more so, he was talking loudly shameless that he has alcohol bottles here next to him to a co-passenger
-The tempo traveller offered me a seat right behind the driver. there was a light on full night on my headThe driver was getting irritated if me and my co-passenger fell asleep because it probably disrupts his driving.I mean really????
- On asking questions of where will I get bus or will I get a bus or not, the driver would respond rudely - i understand this has nothing to do with MMT but I was already annoyed on mis-management.
- the tempo traveller was so cramped that any sort of social distancing norms could not have been followed
- the windows were kept shut at most times as it was raining. there was no AC. leading to suffocation
- there was a strong stench making it extremely unbearable
- Of all the travellers in the tempo, only 4 o[censored]s were transferred to a bus 30km from Chandigarh.
I did not receive any notification of any sort from MakeMyTrip that there won't be a bus coming for my travel.
My boarding time was 10:20pm and I did not receive bus details even before one hour before my scheduled departure. I kept frantically calling the bus operator who answered my call at 10:10pm and only on insistence gave me the driver's number. I called the driver almost five times which is when he answered and said he would reach in 5-10 min. Who is supposed to tell me (1) it's a tempo traveller? (2) vehicle details? (3) where exactly to be available? (4) ETA?
Is MakeMyTrip on a trip to fool its travellers? Isn't it MMT's responsibility to be aware of any travel regulations? Why did you open bus bookings if bus weren't allowed to ply? Why was I issued ticket for Volvo AC bus?
I expect a written response to my complaint.
I have been a MMT loyalist all this while but now I am going to spread this to everyone.
