I have booked a flight for 25th july, 2020 through makemytrip (Indigo airline) using my credit shell and extra money through credit card. Due to covid 19, my flight got cancelled and i requested for refund on 24th july for the same. Now, it's been 1 months my refund request has not been processed.
I have reached out to makemytrip customer care 2 times. First time when i have reached, they told me that your refund request has been raised and in 15 days you will get your refund amount in your account and regarding credit shell amount, we will provide you option to use it in your further booking through makemytrip.
After 15 days when i have called them they didn't even started my refund request. They told we are now taking your request in higher priority and it will be resolved in 48 hrs. After 48 hrs one of makemytrip customer care guy reached to me he told that we have taken your request in higher priority and we have submit the refund request to your bank, it will be get credited to your account in 5 days and regarding credit shell we have also sent the mail to airline and it will take 15 days to get process from the airline end. When i have asked him i have raised the request 15 days back only then why you need again 15 days? What you people have did in earlier 15 days and regarding contacting to airline i have reached out to indigo 2 times and they are saying they have processed the request very long back there is nothing left from their side and they have given me even the reference number for the same. But he keep on saying it is pending for airline. At the end i agreed to wait 15 more days. Now it's been more than 15 days, neither my amount got credited to my account neither they have enabled the option to use the credit shell amount. Now whenever i am calling, i'm hearing their computerized message "due to covid 19, airlines are not refunding the money instead they are providing credit shell once it will be processed from airline, you will get the option to reschedule your flight".
