Booking id - nh[protected]. I booked a room in cynosure boutique suites, cubbon road, bangalore for 18-19th may, 2016. I wanted to cancel the booking. I called the customer care atleast 40 times over 24 hours and couldn't get through as apparently they face 'high call density' all the time, maybe because everyone has to file a complain against them.

The online complaint form thing does not work either. Tried posting a complaint and service request 6-7 times but received an error message repeatedly.

I lost my money. I am disgusted with the customer service of make my trip that boasts of brilliant customer care.

I will be taking strict, formal, legal action against this unprofessional and cheap company. I want my money back. Someone needs to tell these companies to stop taking advantage of consumers.

    My brother had a medical emergency and was required to be operated immediately at hinduja hospital mumbai. Therefore on 14th may, i tried to book 3 flight tickets from bhopal to mumbai for travelling on 16th may as the date of operation was fixed for 17th may. Through mmt app, when i applied, i was asked to pay rs. 12, 312. Just before payment a message flashed that fares have increased and i have to therefore pay rs. 13, 637, which too i agreed and proceeded with the payment and an amount of rs. 13, 037 (Taking balance from my mmt wallet) was debited to my hdfc net banking account. Even after successful payment i got a message that mmt is not able to process my request and therefore money shall be refunded in due course. I panicked and searched for call center number of mmt, to my utter surprise nowhere on app the same is mentioned and with great difficulty i got one number from other sources. Even on that number, there is no provision indicating communication with any executive, i guessed and pressed 9 number and after numerous efforts and wasting half an hour connected to executing, who monotonously told me that he understands my difficulty but cannot help as the payment was held up at getaway (Which i corrected him as gateway due to increased fare) and therefore it will be refunded, when i requested to connect me to his higher authority, he hold me for more than 15 minutes telling that his senior is busy. Finally when connected to senior, he too started singing same song. He refused to help me even after my telling him that by accepting money mmt has entered into a valid legal contract with me and therefore legally bound to provide services to me, but he refused.Interestingly, the tickets for the same flight were being displayed at the earlier reduced rates on mmt app. I am surprised what type of transaction this was. Later on, i came to know from many people that this is common phenomena with mmt and for many transactions, either once paid money is held up or they will take money twice and refund after several days.In some cases they will either not refund at all even after so many representations like they charged me twice for a hotel booking at ujjain under reference no. Nh[protected] and never returned second time charged money. I have an apprehension that some type of scandal is going on at mmt and appropriate authority shall deeply investigate it. Mmt is using substantial free money from innocent clients by duping them in above manner. I intend to move a legal action for committing such frauds, which has been proved in two cases with me.

    We are sorry to read about the issue, In reference to your complaint regarding refund and amount debited twice. Please note that we have already processed the refund of R 96 in your wallet account and INR 264/- in your bank's account on 16th May16.

    Also please note that the payment comes to us through a payment gateway, so there could b a technical glitch from PG or from your bank's side also. There could be different reasons.

    Hence we request you to check with your bank for the refund and do let us know once the refund received by you.

      In reference to your complaint, we have validated your case with our concerned department and found that on 14-May-16 an amount of Inr 9440/- was charged against a failed transaction but the booking did not get confirmed. Refund of Inr 100/- was processed on the same day in customer's Payback account but due to an automation error refund of balance amount of Inr 9440/- did not get processed. As checked the balance refund has also been processed on 30-May-16 in customer's bank account. The same should now be reflecting in your account. We thank you for contacting us.

        Let me start by saying that this is the worst company to deal with, and i believe i did the biggest mistake by booking my tickets through them. I had booked tickets for last year and due to death in the family, i had to cancel my trip. Everybody refunded my expense (Hotel, other united flight), but make my trip was not only didn't care but also refused to make anything easier for me.
        When i called them to rebook, it took me 1 hour every time to get to them and every time they would disconnect the call or tell me that they will call me, and i would never get any call! I was able to connect one time after 15 days of trying and they said the fare difference is 1800 dollars!
        I was getting a new ticket for same route for 1000 dollars, so i decided to buy that, and now i am trying to rebook my ticket, but 5 times they have told me that they will call me back as they are not able to look at the fares, and i never get any call back.

        Customer service reps are not only rude but also extremely unhelpful. Tears well up in my eyes when i have to think about dealing with mmt. If i could warn everyone from top of a roof then i would to not book anything through this company. It is so much easier to book directly from airline.

        Stay away guys and i wish i could get some of my money back!

          We had planned to visit bhutan and travel from 29/12/2015 to 4/1/2016 through makemytrip company.
          We went to kolkata airport to catch our flight to bhutan (Paro pbh) on 29/12/2015. And for the identity we had our pan card with us. Also the soft copies of other documents like passport and voting card in our mobiles.
          But the bhutan authority at the airport did not approve our pan cards. They did not accept our soft copies also. We and other passengers with us in our group requested a lot but they refused to accept. Because of all this, we had to cancel visiting bhutan and make a return journey to pune. It caused a lot of mental and physical trouble.

            Problem face from 1st Day .

            1 . There is no address mention in ticket where is pick up point and number communication number given in ticket is of Manali .

            2. Seat number mention in ticket is also not available in Bus (Seat number given 35 & 36 and in bus there is no 35 and 36) .

            3. Bus agents ask me to give extra amount of luggage when i ask why we have to pay and refuse to pay then they tell me to take your luggage with you to your seat and travel with the same . (I have only 2 bags with me) and when i give call to Mr Ashish Kaul- [protected] (Make my trip person) he tell me sir you have to pay (he talk to me like a agent of Bus Services)

            4. At the time of booking i ask that what is the time of bus from Delhi i got a communication that it start from 3 o clock according i planned to reached Delhi but when i got ticket before 3 days timing of bus is 5:30pm .

            5. Bus suppose to start at 5:30pm but it start at 6:30pm and start travels in speed of 10 or 20 km/Hour when i ask driver why bus i so slow is everything ok then driver says so one of there friend is going to come .

            6 . At the time of reaching Manali there is no one from make my trip to communicate with me i make a call to hotel person that i reached and then cab send me for pick up .

            7 . Hotel person also dont know about the package what is there in the package i have to ask them it is over package u have to provide you then they do it .

            KNOW TRIP START AS PER THE SECLUDED .

            1. Complimentary half day local sightseeing around Manali 4 hrs by small individual Car .

            This plan transfer to last day as last day we have to cheak out at 10 o clock it is ok .

            2. One day full sightseeing to Rohtang pass/Snow point & Solang valley (on sharing basis)

            Rohtang Pass closed from the month of Oct 15 then also why booking given to me .

            3. One full day sightseeing to Manikaran by individual small Car .

            Plan is to go Manikaran when i come after breakfast and start traveling we first go to river rafting it takes at least 2 hour and then i ask car driver how far is Manikaran he said that it is near about 4 hours to reached and road it also not good so we can go and come .
            Tell me one thing why it is not communicate to me that Manikaran is 4 hours far from Manali so we have to start travels from morning .

            Everyday I have to ask hotel person that whats the plan for tomm... and they ask me sir tell me where you want to go, if i know all the things about Manali then why i travel with make my trip ? I will directly go to Manali book all my thing over side .

            4 . Complimentary Pickup & dropping facility to the Mall.

            When i ask to drop to the Mall they ask me amount for the same when i ask it is complimentary they tell me only pick up is complimentary for pick and drop they charge me INR 600 .

              At the time of booking, in makemytrip that hotel was showing free cancellation prior to one day before check-in date.
              But after booking, the voucher is showing non refundable hotel.
              I would like to cancel that hotel.
              The problem is, voucher is showing non refundable
              But when i booked hotel, at that time also it showed 100% free cancellation
              After booking hotel, voucher is not showing
              I am helpless now.
              I dont know the reason.
              Policies have been changed after booking
              Am really disappointed after seeing the hotel as non refundable
              I guess you are getting my point
              After booking it is non refundable where as at the time of booking
              100% free cancellation prior to one day before
              I am 100% sure what am talking.

                  Hi,
                  I made some hotel bookings on 6th april 2016 for 12th and 13th april in goa. I made these bookings by using Makemytrip app. I made only 2 hotel bookings that day but amount got deducted 3 times from my account. When i called them and asked them about one extra deduction of amount.I was told that it was done due to an error and i would get the refund in next 2 days. Now it has been more than a MONTH and still they haven't returned a single penny. I have made more than 20 calls. I have sent more than 10 emails to them. Still they are trying to make a fool out of me.

                    It's been a month i am waiting for my refund amount of hotel cancellation. Booking was done through makemytrip office in banjara hills, hyderabad.
                    I have called them number of times but everytime agent says it's already processed or it may take some days. Its been a month my refund has not yet been processed.

                      Stupid service
                      Will never ever book using makemytrip
                      Fraaud people especially the customer care
                      Mmt agent {irshad ahmed} wrongly booked
                      I raised a complaint abt it and within a week a response came telling tracking the call they found that it was their mistake
                      O i again requested for the call record
                      Nothing came across for more than ten days
                      I again and again kept on asking no response and very bad treatmentand
                      Finally they made us pay extra as date change penalty and other costs
                      I want my money back
                      I m sure it is not our mistake

                          I have booked the flight of Air india express from jaipur to Dubai, Air India express has send the refund which I'm following from make my trip customer care team from last 10 days and i have not received any response

                          Air India as a service gesture has refunded the whole amount rather than just no show refund .I'm very impressed with the way Air Indai has taken up the case, now as I have booked my tickets through make my trip, which I normally does but now after this case i will not book any tickets and also tell my friends that don't consider this as a option for the booking rather go with some others .

                            Iam posting this complaint after failed to get response from the make my trip earlier posted in make my trip complaint box also with escalation not going to higher level

                            The trip to kerala was on dec 2015, had earlier waiting for response from make my trip & with no response from them. Recently came to know about the consumer complaint so posting my complaint now.

                            I am completely unsatisfied & been cheated by hotels & make my trip team.
                            Following are the details
                            1) West wood hotel
                            I was booked for room category of executive Riverview room but given a deluxe room by the hotel people, I was completely unaware of the fact that room given was not as per the bookings made till the checkout time, on finding out & asking the hotel team replied it was a mistake can’t do anything. This is completely nonsense


                            2) Camel Back Plantation Bungalow ( 3 star Hotel as per booking voucher)
                            First of all this not a hotel this is a home stay, we had requested to book hotels not home stay & I do not know on what basis you have given it a 3 star hotel. Our room was located in ground floor attached to the hall no privacy for the room & it is 10 km away from the town with no proper facilities of food or transportation, they not preparing night dinner also. Tv remote not working they replaced with very small with few channels, No power supply during night, no hot water inside the washroom they provided hot water in buckets & cockroaches running inside room. Even after calling to make my trip their response was can't do anything.


                            Make My Trip Kindly organise to refund the amount for the stay in these hotels on immediate basis.

                                This complaint is with regards to the booking ID - IN1601B8S2474390- A customized trip to London and Scotland. This was our second trip abroad with Make My Trip and it was indeed a wrong decision.

                                I would like to get clarifications to all of the queries below from Make My Trip:

                                1) We had certain Visa issues and so we were not able to travel on the early morning of 24th April 2016. And we could travel only on or after 25th April. But we were not able to reschedule the flights on our own as it was booked by the agencies. When we notified their team of our visa issue at 1:00 am itself, they did not give us a choice of cheap flights and throughout the day, they kept transferring our calls from one department to the other only to get the most expensive flight in the evening because I got an email from one of their staff as follows at 5:00 pm, 24th April 2016 -

                                Fare Difference including date change charges for all of the 03 guest : INR 1, 05, 386/-

                                On the very early morning of 24th April 2016, we had checked and there were options for cheap airlines but instead we were told that there is only one airline that suits our requirement and asked us to pay 1, 05, 386.


                                2) Despite our requesting their staff to get us airport pick up from Heathrow to our accommodation so many times, the guy who mailed us about the airlines told us that it is beyond impossible to arrange for our pick up on such a short notice and it takes minimum 48 hours to book a cab. 48 hours to book a cab, seriously?? Do we live in some ancient age that booking a cab requires such amount of time. Well so according to Make My Trip, if a flight is delayed or a person has to reschedule a flight due to some urgent issues, he or she has to arrange everything on his or her own to reach the destination. And that guy told us that we had done a no-show from our side on that day (24th April), so cab arrangement cant be done at such short notice. Well, in this regard their team was aware of the flight change at the earliest hour so they could have intimated the same to their so called third party, GTA easily. It was the first time we were traveling alone and we ended up paying 60 POUNDS to reach the accommodation in London.


                                3) The member staff who had given us the airline details also misguided us stating that " Your itinerary for 25th April 2016 has been a no-show. And so no change can be made to it." Only after re-inquiring with another member of Make My Trip, we came to know that the vouchers provided to us were valid for 48 hours from the point of redeeming. So this implies that not all of the employees in Make My Trip are aware of everything and instead of getting the queries of customers clarified from their fellow team mates, they blindly reply to customers to escape the situation.


                                4) The thing that happened in Glasgow was a DISASTER. It was above all the problems stated above. The very first thing that happened as soon as we entered Novotel, Glasgow was to hear at the reception "Sorry, Ma'am your booking has been cancelled by your agents". Anyone would have panicked. Since I was carrying a phone, I called the GTA toll free number. And then we had to wait at the reception for an hour to get the issue resolved. The thing that happened after that...beyond imaginable. We got a call from the reception on the early morning (5:00 am to be precise) of 2nd May 2016 "Maa'm, your pick up is waiting here at the reception for the airport drop". Anybody could have panicked in an unknown country. We knew we had our flight at 21:35 hours but we did not know what to do and checked out the Hotel and reached the Airport at 05:30 am. We verified the flight timings at the Airport and came back to a friend's place paying 24 POUNDS. Luckily we had a friend in Glasgow, where we stayed the whole day until the evening. We had sent mails and asked them to arrange for our drop to the Airport from where we were staying. But, I guess each one of them was too busy to respond to that. So we paid 24 POUNDS again to reach the Airport.

                                5) To top all of the concerns stated above, I got an apology mail from one of them apologizing for our THAILAND trip (Make My Trip needs to invest their time to research a little bit about their clients, before replying just like that to the customers) which states :

                                We were expecting a little help from Make My Trip, and here we get to know that they are not even aware where their clients are suffering.. in London or Thailand ? This is so shameful at least of such a reputed travel planner .

                                Yes MMT sucks!! Takes advantage of difficult situations and causes a lot of harassment to customers! Since customers have a dependency on them, nothing can be done at that point! After people come back they usually forget about the bad experience and try to move on with life! This is how MMT takes advantage as they think they can get away with it. It is just totally preposterous! Action needs to be taken, not just because people have lost many bucks but for the mental strife and harassment that one has to face in a foreign country! I can't rate MMT as they are totally useless and doesn't deserve half a star! Negative it should be!

                                  I had booked a ticket from mumbai central to new delhi station on may 7'2016 for the date of journey on may 11 '2016 by mumbai rajdhani express (Pnr number - [protected]). The tickets were booked for the 3 passengers and only 1 passenger's ticket was confirmed and remaining 2 passengers named mr. Arvind mehta and meena mehta aged 62 years were unconfirmed and since it was rajdhani they were not allowed to board the train. Since the tickets were not confirmed and they were not allowed to board the train the ticket automatically gets cancelled. I have been calling up make my trip repeatedly and asking for the refund they have been behaving in a very unsystematic and rude way. They are not willing to provide me my refund of the ticket amount and all i am getting are very unsatisfactory excuses and are just not willing to take up my complaint.
                                  They are not speaking properly with my father and in-spite of informing them at least 2 hours before the departure of the train they are just shrugging their responsibility. Their executives by the name of rachit and a few others have behaved very un-courteously and in a very impolite way. Kindly take the due action as both the passengers were senior citizens and they have been harassed beyond their tolerance as they were not allowed to board the train and the whole night they had to spend on the station looking for an alternative to travel back to delhi and nobody is ready to listen to our problem and are extremely non understanding about the problems that were faced by the senior passengers.
                                  We had informed irctc also and everyone is shrugging their responsibilities and they are putting the blames on each other. The way they have been dealing with the problem has been in a very inhuman and unsystematic way.
                                  I hereby request you to take appropriate action and get us our refund back as the passengers were not allowed to board the train because of being wait listed in the passenger’s chart. Since it was an e ticket it got cancelled automatically. Please look into the matter since it pertains to the harassment of the senior citizens and mental torture of both the passengers.

                                    I have made reservations for 3 nights with makemytrip.com. I booked 2 rooms, one occupying 2 adults and the other 2 adults and 1 child(below 3 yrs).

                                    For second room with booking id - NH[protected], the night charges are almost double when compared with booking id - NH[protected]. This is because I had selected 1 child, which was an honest information I entered which seemed to be required during reservation, which ideally and according to hotel policy should not incur any extra charges. There is a seekbar to select age of your child while making reservations, unfortunately that seekbar input is useless. Whether you select 0 or 12 yrs, it always adds extra amount to your booking.

                                    The hotel has confirmed that child below 6 yrs stays free in their policy and makemytrip(mmt) hotel policy says the same. But mmt does not practice what it states. I have called them multiple times and every representative has it's own take on the problem. Here are some of their different takes and my answers to their understanding.

                                    1) Prices might have changed while making second booking
                                    - I have tried even now, price is same and increases when you add a child with any age. Technical issue on their website which they won't accept.

                                    2) You must have added extra bed for your kid
                                    - Really please show that mentioned in the voucher because I never requested for an extra bed

                                    3) We will get back to you in 24hrs
                                    - This is a myth they practice. Never did I receive any mail or call from them withing 24hrs

                                    4) We will check the hotel's policy and get back
                                    - I have already checked with the hotel and have it in written that stay for kid < 6 yrs is free.

                                    5) We checked your logs during booking and you selected nil for child's age.
                                    - Whether you select 0 1 2...12 it's the same price that gets added. If I select nil, what business login do you run in your backend to add extra prices?

                                    I request you to kindly look into this matter because it's really unfair & ridiculous that my little kid is being charged an amount which is equivalent to booking a separate room for him for 3 nights.

                                    The issue was escalated after we went to Corporate Office in Gurgaon. The refund has been processed.
                                    It's a request from a consumer that please rectify your website else many consumers will be mislead like us.

                                      Hi team,

                                      Mr. Prashant your associate has booked my father's ticket. Booking id - in1604b1s462279.In the ticket his surname is incorrect!! This is really going wrong.. I have been sending mails but seems no solutions!!!

                                      The correct surname need to be as - mukhopadhyay

                                      Pls get me the revised ticket asap.

                                      Greetings from MakeMyTrip!!

                                      We are sorry to hear about the issue, In reference to wrong surname booked by executive.
                                      As we have investigated the issue and found that name was spelled to the customer twice and customer agreed on it twice. Hence executive is not at fault. Moreover the booking has been cancelled and applicable refund of INR 19, 479/- has been processed on 23rd May16 with RRN number#[protected].
                                      Kindly check with your bank for the same and do let us know once the refund received by you.

                                        Travelling from my home town to chennai airport of 300 km with my family and waiting in airport of 3 hours before my flight timing 11:45 means we reached 8 pm.
                                        We went to checking-in by 9 pm to air asia and they where saying you cant go with this ticket since you do need visa on malaysia, we felt ashamed at that time and after lot of conversion with air asia and makemytrip person says that this makemytrip fault, since they are world level travel agency make this big mistakes, because of this my every plan and our honey moon was spoiled. Though they have arranged alternate plan but was very worst travelling without itinerary. Don't believe makemytrip bluntly. Waste of money and they did not make their promise for compensation which they convinced us for not to cancel the trip.
