Recently I tried to book a flight ticket through MakemyTrip.com and unfortunately the transaction got failed and the monety got debited from my account. I made several calls to the customer care and they didnt give any proper answer and asking me to hold for a long time and the calls were disconnected automatically. I sent many mails to them and didnt get proper response.

Make My Trip — Cant use money in my wallet

By using make my trip app i got 900 rs in my wallet and when i tried to book a train ticket then there is no provision for upload my wallet money for booking.. how can i use my wallet money??

    I have booked the flight of Air india express from jaipur to Dubai, Air India express has send the refund which I'm following from make my trip customer care team from last 10 days and i have not received any response

    Air India as a service gesture has refunded the whole amount rather than just no show refund .I'm very impressed with the way Air Indai has taken up the case, now as I have booked my tickets through make my trip, which I normally does but now after this case i will not book any tickets and also tell my friends that don't consider this as a option for the booking rather go with some others .

    This is a typical harassment to the customer which is not tolerable

      Hi,

      Iam posting this complaint after failed to get response from the make my trip earlier posted in make my trip complaint box also with escalation not going to higher level

      The trip to kerala was on dec 2015, had earlier waiting for response from make my trip & with no response from them. Recently came to know about the consumer complaint so posting my complaint now.

      I am completely unsatisfied & been cheated by hotels & make my trip team.
      Following are the details
      1) West wood hotel
      I was booked for room category of executive Riverview room but given a deluxe room by the hotel people, I was completely unaware of the fact that room given was not as per the bookings made till the checkout time, on finding out & asking the hotel team replied it was a mistake can’t do anything. This is completely nonsense


      2) Camel Back Plantation Bungalow ( 3 star Hotel as per booking voucher)
      First of all this not a hotel this is a home stay, we had requested to book hotels not home stay & I do not know on what basis you have given it a 3 star hotel. Our room was located in ground floor attached to the hall no privacy for the room & it is 10 km away from the town with no proper facilities of food or transportation, they not preparing night dinner also. Tv remote not working they replaced with very small with few channels, No power supply during night, no hot water inside the washroom they provided hot water in buckets & cockroaches running inside room. Even after calling to make my trip their response was can't do anything.


      Make My Trip Kindly organise to refund the amount for the stay in these hotels on immediate basis.

        I have just booked the package from u, and the guest is travelling to thailand today he arrived to phuket airport @ 2.00 pm according to bangkok timing, and the sic transfer he supppose to be for 3.00 pm but the taxi driver said that he will not able to drop him as because there is some another flight was coming from bangkok to phuket and he will proceed the transfer @ 4.30 pm so wait, now you all say that how the customer wait too long.. He took another taxi by paying 800 thb the receipt is attached and now he travelling to phuket hotel ramada now my request is that what happen is happen but please be sure that no problem persists any more in the remaining trip...           This complaint is with regards to the booking ID - IN1601B8S2474390- A customized trip to London and Scotland. This was our second trip abroad with Make My Trip and it was indeed a wrong decision.

          I would like to get clarifications to all of the queries below from Make My Trip:

          1) We had certain Visa issues and so we were not able to travel on the early morning of 24th April 2016. And we could travel only on or after 25th April. But we were not able to reschedule the flights on our own as it was booked by the agencies. When we notified their team of our visa issue at 1:00 am itself, they did not give us a choice of cheap flights and throughout the day, they kept transferring our calls from one department to the other only to get the most expensive flight in the evening because I got an email from one of their staff as follows at 5:00 pm, 24th April 2016 -

          Fare Difference including date change charges for all of the 03 guest : INR 1, 05, 386/-

          On the very early morning of 24th April 2016, we had checked and there were options for cheap airlines but instead we were told that there is only one airline that suits our requirement and asked us to pay 1, 05, 386.


          2) Despite our requesting their staff to get us airport pick up from Heathrow to our accommodation so many times, the guy who mailed us about the airlines told us that it is beyond impossible to arrange for our pick up on such a short notice and it takes minimum 48 hours to book a cab. 48 hours to book a cab, seriously?? Do we live in some ancient age that booking a cab requires such amount of time. Well so according to Make My Trip, if a flight is delayed or a person has to reschedule a flight due to some urgent issues, he or she has to arrange everything on his or her own to reach the destination. And that guy told us that we had done a no-show from our side on that day (24th April), so cab arrangement cant be done at such short notice. Well, in this regard their team was aware of the flight change at the earliest hour so they could have intimated the same to their so called third party, GTA easily. It was the first time we were traveling alone and we ended up paying 60 POUNDS to reach the accommodation in London.


          3) The member staff who had given us the airline details also misguided us stating that " Your itinerary for 25th April 2016 has been a no-show. And so no change can be made to it." Only after re-inquiring with another member of Make My Trip, we came to know that the vouchers provided to us were valid for 48 hours from the point of redeeming. So this implies that not all of the employees in Make My Trip are aware of everything and instead of getting the queries of customers clarified from their fellow team mates, they blindly reply to customers to escape the situation.


          4) The thing that happened in Glasgow was a DISASTER. It was above all the problems stated above. The very first thing that happened as soon as we entered Novotel, Glasgow was to hear at the reception "Sorry, Ma'am your booking has been cancelled by your agents". Anyone would have panicked. Since I was carrying a phone, I called the GTA toll free number. And then we had to wait at the reception for an hour to get the issue resolved. The thing that happened after that...beyond imaginable. We got a call from the reception on the early morning (5:00 am to be precise) of 2nd May 2016 "Maa'm, your pick up is waiting here at the reception for the airport drop". Anybody could have panicked in an unknown country. We knew we had our flight at 21:35 hours but we did not know what to do and checked out the Hotel and reached the Airport at 05:30 am. We verified the flight timings at the Airport and came back to a friend's place paying 24 POUNDS. Luckily we had a friend in Glasgow, where we stayed the whole day until the evening. We had sent mails and asked them to arrange for our drop to the Airport from where we were staying. But, I guess each one of them was too busy to respond to that. So we paid 24 POUNDS again to reach the Airport.

          5) To top all of the concerns stated above, I got an apology mail from one of them apologizing for our THAILAND trip (Make My Trip needs to invest their time to research a little bit about their clients, before replying just like that to the customers) which states :

          Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience you may have experience in respect to your Thailand trip.

          We were expecting a little help from Make My Trip, and here we get to know that they are not even aware where their clients are suffering.. in London or Thailand ? This is so shameful at least of such a reputed travel planner .

          Yes MMT sucks!! Takes advantage of difficult situations and causes a lot of harassment to customers! Since customers have a dependency on them, nothing can be done at that point! After people come back they usually forget about the bad experience and try to move on with life! This is how MMT takes advantage as they think they can get away with it. It is just totally preposterous! Action needs to be taken, not just because people have lost many bucks but for the mental strife and harassment that one has to face in a foreign country! I can't rate MMT as they are totally useless and doesn't deserve half a star! Negative it should be!

            I had booked a ticket from mumbai central to new delhi station on may 7'2016 for the date of journey on may 11 '2016 by mumbai rajdhani express (Pnr number - [protected]). The tickets were booked for the 3 passengers and only 1 passenger's ticket was confirmed and remaining 2 passengers named mr. Arvind mehta and meena mehta aged 62 years were unconfirmed and since it was rajdhani they were not allowed to board the train. Since the tickets were not confirmed and they were not allowed to board the train the ticket automatically gets cancelled. I have been calling up make my trip repeatedly and asking for the refund they have been behaving in a very unsystematic and rude way. They are not willing to provide me my refund of the ticket amount and all i am getting are very unsatisfactory excuses and are just not willing to take up my complaint.
            They are not speaking properly with my father and in-spite of informing them at least 2 hours before the departure of the train they are just shrugging their responsibility. Their executives by the name of rachit and a few others have behaved very un-courteously and in a very impolite way. Kindly take the due action as both the passengers were senior citizens and they have been harassed beyond their tolerance as they were not allowed to board the train and the whole night they had to spend on the station looking for an alternative to travel back to delhi and nobody is ready to listen to our problem and are extremely non understanding about the problems that were faced by the senior passengers.
            We had informed irctc also and everyone is shrugging their responsibilities and they are putting the blames on each other. The way they have been dealing with the problem has been in a very inhuman and unsystematic way.
            I hereby request you to take appropriate action and get us our refund back as the passengers were not allowed to board the train because of being wait listed in the passenger’s chart. Since it was an e ticket it got cancelled automatically. Please look into the matter since it pertains to the harassment of the senior citizens and mental torture of both the passengers.

              I have made reservations for 3 nights with makemytrip.com. I booked 2 rooms, one occupying 2 adults and the other 2 adults and 1 child(below 3 yrs).

              For second room with booking id - NH[protected], the night charges are almost double when compared with booking id - NH[protected]. This is because I had selected 1 child, which was an honest information I entered which seemed to be required during reservation, which ideally and according to hotel policy should not incur any extra charges. There is a seekbar to select age of your child while making reservations, unfortunately that seekbar input is useless. Whether you select 0 or 12 yrs, it always adds extra amount to your booking.

              The hotel has confirmed that child below 6 yrs stays free in their policy and makemytrip(mmt) hotel policy says the same. But mmt does not practice what it states. I have called them multiple times and every representative has it's own take on the problem. Here are some of their different takes and my answers to their understanding.

              1) Prices might have changed while making second booking
              - I have tried even now, price is same and increases when you add a child with any age. Technical issue on their website which they won't accept.

              2) You must have added extra bed for your kid
              - Really please show that mentioned in the voucher because I never requested for an extra bed

              3) We will get back to you in 24hrs
              - This is a myth they practice. Never did I receive any mail or call from them withing 24hrs

              4) We will check the hotel's policy and get back
              - I have already checked with the hotel and have it in written that stay for kid < 6 yrs is free.

              5) We checked your logs during booking and you selected nil for child's age.
              - Whether you select 0 1 2...12 it's the same price that gets added. If I select nil, what business login do you run in your backend to add extra prices?

              I request you to kindly look into this matter because it's really unfair & ridiculous that my little kid is being charged an amount which is equivalent to booking a separate room for him for 3 nights.

                As we have investigated the issue and found that name was spelled to the customer twice and customer agreed on it twice. Hence executive is not at fault.                   Travelling from my home town to chennai airport of 300 km with my family and waiting in airport of 3 hours before my flight timing 11:45 means we reached 8 pm.
                  We went to checking-in by 9 pm to air asia and they where saying you cant go with this ticket since you do need visa on malaysia, we felt ashamed at that time and after lot of conversion with air asia and makemytrip person says that this makemytrip fault, since they are world level travel agency make this big mistakes, because of this my every plan and our honey moon was spoiled. Though they have arranged alternate plan but was very worst travelling without itinerary. Don't believe makemytrip bluntly. Waste of money and they did not make their promise for compensation which they convinced us for not to cancel the trip.

                    I want to book thailand package with makemytrip. I am continuously following up with your holiday expert regarding the same.
                    She has given me a package of 292 k before and within 2 days this package cost increased to 296 k on 7th may and 299 k today. I have checked myself for each hotel cost and flights cost and sightseeing cost. But I didn't see any difference in it. I want to know why my package is increased this much within few days if any hotel or flight or sightseeing cost is not increased. I have asked for this explanation on 7th may on which day I am planning to book a package. But I didn't get any satisfactory answers from you expert. Then I asks for contact with the her manager who can give me satisfactory answers. But I didn't get any response for it. And on today my price hikes to 299 k from 296 k.
                    So I want to know why this much increase of price in only 2 days. And 2nd why this delay happened due to which I have to suffer this 3 k additional cost. If your manager has given me satisfactory answers on 7th may then I would have booked the package. Now cost is increased so who will be responsible for it.
                    I want urgent call back for this issue otherwise there will be other consciquancies. With this mail I am sending you the last package which was sent on 7th may.

                        We booked a usa package almost 5 months back in dec 2015 from make my trip.At that time, the website had mentioned good location hotels(like in new york, hotel right in front of central park in mahattan . and in vegas- hotel right in middle of strip), and we were promised that the hotels wont change .
                        But now about 1 month before departure, they have completely changed the locations and given the cheapest hotels possible at the outskirts.
                        When contacted at their helpline number- they just keep on saying we will do something, but no one resolves the issue.
                        We have tried contacting their helpine number so many times, but most times it is impossible to even through to their concerned department.But definitely no one calls back to resolve the matter.
                        After leaving many messages requesting to speak to any senior, it is always a junior employee who comes on the line, who does not have any authority to resolve a issue.
                        Make my trip is possibly the most unprofessional and most arrogant travel site that i have encountered.
                        We have been urging the company to collect the payment from us, but still they have not bothered to collect the payment(i dont know yet whether that is a good thing or no), which is quite strange, because all travel companies would be quite eager to take payment as soon as possible.

                        We still have 14 more days for our vacation to begin, but already this experience with the travel site is making me feel uneasy and unsure about the services during the trip.

                            On 3 may, 2016 i have booked with you 12 flight tickets from delhi to mumbai dated 1 june 2016, air india ai 349, 03:50 hrs. On 03 may, 2016 for rs.41, 043/-, which booking id's number are id for 10 tickets no.Nf[protected] and id for 2 tickets no. Nf[protected] and the said amount deposited by me on same day and accepted by your company and confirmed the said 12 flight tickets booking, your company also send 12 flight tickets booking confirmation mail to me on my e mail.
                            On 5 may 2016 your company have send one e mail on my e mail account on or about 10:13 am stating that "my above booking id for 10 tickets no.Nf[protected] is unable to confirm for due to some technical error at airline end". Which is surprisingly to me, because your earlier e mail is stating that the said booking is confirmed by your company. After receiving this e mail i contact your customer care center and complaint about above matter to them that without my permission you have not cancelled my booking of 10 flight tickets, then they replied to me that "your 10 flight tickets are cancelled and we are not booking / confirming your flight tickets and avoiding on or some other pretext and said we are asking to higher authority about my complaint.” but, neither your employee asked the higher authority nor given any feedback to me. I again tried and tried to contact your customer care center, again they avoiding on or some other pretext. Lastly i told your customer care center that you have not cancelled my confirmed 10 flight tickets without my prior permission or permission and your employee replied me that “we have not binded for taking any permission from you for cancellation of 10 flight tickets and we have right to cancel any custmer’s, flight ticket and it is not necessary to take customer’s permission for cancellation of flight ticket.” your customer care center didn’t talked and treated to me as customer, but as so so.
                            Today i have received another e-mail from your company that the amount of rs.31, 523/-, which is less than amount accepted by your company for 10 flight tickets, is refund to me as early as possible and the 10 flight tickets are cancelled by your company without my permission.
                            I will not want to your refund amount, you shall make confirm the my 10 flight tickets within 24 hours.

                              An international trip to dubai was booked for susham khanna and rekha sethi(Sister)

                              On 23rd april, sushma khanna one of the passenger in the booking id got a brain attack and got paralysis. The same day emergency document received from the hospital was forwarded to sahil patyal, rep from mmt who did the visa for us.

                              Since 23rd i have been following up on emails everyday on refund with no response.

                              The entire case history and supporting docs of the medical condition were also forwarded within 3 days.

                              I don't understand why such a big company like mmt is not responding and refunding our money and on top of that is mentally torturing by making us follow up on emails and phone calls . Its a shame on mmt disturbing the family who is going through so much already.

                              If you a little dignity and some human element, don't make me follow up again and process the refund today.

                              I need my refund processed asap.

                                I made a blunder of booking air tickets through makemytrip.com online from chandigarh to varanasi via delhi on 29dec2015. While browsing details and the suitable timings for flights, i booked the air tickets vide booking no-nf[protected]. Game played by the person on desk at gurgaon got unfolded right from the time i started looking for flights. I was indicated the cost of tickets for me and my wife travelling by jet connect from chandigarh to delhi and from delhi to varanasi by jet airways on 26 feb16 and on return journey on 01 mar16 by spicejet flt from varanasi to delhi and by jet connect to chandigarh as rs 14956/= only. When i asked for booking the flights then i was asked to add rs 800.00 as the convenience charges.
                                Thus a total of rs 15756/=was paid by me on the internet.
                                Main game played on me was known on getting the e-tickets wherein three flights ie jet connect and jet airways had booked us with 15 kgs of check in baggage as generally is for domestic flts but on return journey from varanasi by spicejet flt our reservation was done in economy class with hand baggage only.
                                I immediately got on the consumer services of the makemytrip website and lodged a complaint about this trick played on the innocent customers. How does one think of carrying 15 kgs of check in baggage for three sections of the journey and drops the suitcases
                                On the return journey?
                                I also got communication from spicejet people that we had confirmed tkts from varanasi to delhi with hand baggage only and had to pay additional amount of rs 800/= in case check in baggage was to be authorised. I made a number of calls to the people of makemytrip.com and requested for help since this game of cheating by luring the customers was done by them. I remember my talking to mr hitesh sachdeva, supposedly a supervisor in the travel agency at gurgaon who expressed that i have to pay additional amount to the spicejet for the check in baggage.
                                Unfortunately my wife fell ill and was advised by the doctor to avoid travelling in the middle of feb 16. I therefore cancelled the tickets on 17 feb 16and requested for the refund. To my horror i got the reply that the tickets had been cancelled and i would get a refund of rs 80.00 only. I thereafter spoke to mr deepak., mr madur and miss aradhana who confirmed that the their early communication was wrong and that i would be getting rs 4660/=as the refund. Ultimately i got rs 4008/=after a no of number of calls made. The travel agency gave no details of deduction made.
                                My representation is that makemytrip people lure the customers as the did with me by indicating low priced tkts and then play tricks like booking passengers with hand baggage only in between the travel sectors. On cancellation of tickets almost 9 days prior to commencement of journey, they refused to refund the money without any legitimate reasons.
                                I would request for the unrefunded amount of rs11748/= primarily because of luring by indicating low fares initially and later adding rs 800.00 as the convenience charges and rs 800.00 to be etc to spicejet on account of their booking us only with hand baggage only.
                                I do expect the travel agency to investigate the issue and take strict action against persons getting involved in luring and cheating the customers. I want to get my unrefunded amount of rs 11748/. The company also needs to be penalised heavily and compensation paid for causing harassment and mental torture.

                                  I purchased a business class ticket from an agent at Make My Trip and he quoted me a price after booking the itinerary. After paying the agreed amount, he called me and told me that one of the flights in the itinerary was not available in business class and helped me find another flight after which he told me that I had to pay an additional Rs 38, 038 which I paid. I then find out from the airline website that the price was at least Rs 45, 000 less than what I paid and I have been trying to get them to send me a detailed invoice for the ticket. They do not want to be truthful that they charged me around Rs 45, 000 service fee for the ticket. When asked for a supervisor they would not transfer my call and my calls have not been resulted in any resolution.

                                    I made a payment from mobikwik wallet. Payment got succeeded from mobikwik end but failed from makemytrip end.

                                    After raising complaint, i provided mobikwik wallet details too but didn't got any positive response. On calling each time they ask the time for 72 hrs and sometimes 5 days.

                                    I wrote till manager level but no response from them too. One time one of the senior person called me but after that she too become unresponsive.

                                      Basically what happen was, i booked hotels through makemytrip app . Bookings date was 31st march 2016, 01st april 2016 and 2nd april 2016.
                                      As per the terms and conditions, the cashback has to be received by 21 days. But i received the cashback only for one booking (Ie) 01 apr 2016 - sukmantra resort - nh[protected].

                                      So when i enquired about this to customer care, they initially replied me stating that no bookings found. Then i send the booking ids to them. Replied me back saying, "cashback cannot be processed".

                                      This makes me frustrating. If i haven't applied the code, how come i receive the cashback for one hotel booking out of three. I am 200% pretty sure that i applied the code during booking . The cash back not received for the booking ids are nh[protected] the sea horse resort - 31 mar 2016 & nh[protected] the belmonte by ace - 02 apr 2016.

                                      Kindly request to take this as a formal complaint against make my trip. Because this situation shouldn't happen to any one in future. Giving false promise and cheating the people.
