I made a holiday booking through Makemytrip.com in the month of April 2022 with a planned itinerary.
1) First of all, upon arriving in Singapore, they changed the entire itinerary at their convenience. How can they change the itinerary without any confirmation or approval from us?
2) The plan was to visit Singapore Water park & Sea Aquarium as per the itinerary. Just to let everyone know, these two activities are located in different stations for which you'll have to take internal Sentosa train. The pickup for the water park was done at 2 PM in the afternoon due to which we could only go to the water park as the Aquarium got closed by 5 PM itself. If they had arranged a pickup in the morning, we would have been able to visit both places but due to their mistake we missed it & the team is not ready to arrange the refund for the same telling that they haven't received the refund from the vendor.
3) Secondly, there was a return pickup on one of the days which the driver denied & told us that there was no return pickup for today. I got in touch with one of the MakeMyTrip employees through whom I had made the booking and she told me that no problem, you can go ahead & book a return private taxi & we'll refund the amount later.
4) Third, we had taken Sentosa 120 tokens & when we reached Sentosa we found that all the activities required pre-booking & the only option we were left with was i-fly. The timing of i-fly was conflicting with the return cab & again I got in touch with the MakeMyTrip employee, she told me to go via a private taxi & later the refund will be arranged.
The total expenses were around 8000INR but MakeMyTrip is just providing me 4000INR that too as MakeMyTrip voucher & not a cash refund.
Really fed up with chasing customer support. It has been 3 months chasing customer support but no resolution. They just make fake promises.
I really feel that it was a great mistake to take a holiday package via MakeMyTrip. They have zero customer support systems. They really don't care about the customers I think.
Please think 100 times before you make your next booking via MakeMyTrip.
