I had booked two tickets vide web portal Booking ID NF27MWO71KJNKW2R3036 for a journey from Madurai to Mumbai by Air India AI 672 scheduled for 21/01/2022 for which Make my trip issued a confirmed PNR HWMEZ covering E Ticket No. 098-[protected] & 098 [protected] by spending an amount of Rs. 14, 344/-.
Due to unavoidable circumstances on 21/01/2022 I opted for date change of my journey from Madurai to Mumbai. The date change request was accepted by Make my trip and a confirmation message was received through Whats App which reads as ‘Dear Rajeshwari Viswanathan, your request for date change, for your Madurai to Mumbai flight is now complete. Your booking ID remains unchanged: NF27MWO71KJNKW2R3036. Your new flight AI-672 is scheduled to depart on 11/03/2022 at 13:10. You have paid INR 5850/- for this date change.
Thus, I had to incurred a total amount of Rs. 20, 194/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand One Hundred & Ninety Four only) for my journey by Air India AI 672 through Make My Trip scheduled for 11/03/2022 for which Make My Trip had issued a confirmed ticket through email with ticket No. NF27MWO71KJNKW2R3036
I with utmost confidence on Make My Trip proceeded their pilgrimage to various places in south and in the last phase reached Madurai on 10/03/2022 wherein, they were put into utmost shock while attempting web check in process as the system was not generating web check in but directing to contact the airlines.
I having left with no choice sent Make my trip a detailed email narrating the incident and hardships faced by me with a request to sort out the issue immediately so that I can continue their travel without any difficulties. However, till 11/03/2022 afternoon, or even till date, Make My Trip never ever responded to my grievances thereby causing intentional hardships resulting in unbearable stress with financial constraints.
I on reaching Mumbai Airport approached Air India officials by showing the tickets issued by Make My Trip but the Air India had categorically stated that the PNR was entirely cancelled. Thus, I was put into unbearable stress without any clue of what to do for my journey from Madurai to Mumbai. The report of this CANCELLATION OF PNR by Air India / Make My Trip is attached as a proof of hardships and harassment faced by me at the Madurai Airport due to the insufficient / inefficient / unlawful trade practice adopted by Make My Trip in catering the needs of the Consumer.
I am left out with no choice had to borrow and spend Rs. 17, 178/- (Rupees Seventeen Thousand One Hundred and Seventy Eight only) for the tickets from Madurai to Mumbai by Air India AI 672 E Ticket No. – 098-[protected] & 59 on 11/03/2022.
I on advice, from Madurai Airport had adopted very clearly to prove Make My trip’s intentional lacking of services and to prove Make My trip’s irresponsible attitude of not responding to the consumer, used Make My trip’s own web portal and booked this ticket 098-[protected] & 59 by spending another Rs. 17, 178/- to reach out their home at Mumbai.
Make My trip never ever bothered till date to either respond to me or to refund the amount which was unlawfully kept with inefficient and unsatisfactory services to me.
I therefore request you to kindly refund the amount taken for the tickets from Madurai to Mumbai Rs. 20, 194/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand One Hundred and Ninety Four only) and reimburse the amount of Rs. 17, 178/- ((Rupees Seventeen Thousand One Hundred and Seventy Eight only) spent on booking the air ticket due to Make My trip negligence for travel between Madurai & Mumbai.
Also to compensate the mental stress of both o[censored]s, the lump sum compensation of Rs. 50, 000/- (Rupees Fifty thousand only) each for the deficiency in service by Make My Trip apart from the air fare claimed above.
MakeMyTrip India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
