Hereby this, I am listing the issues I faced during the trip.
· Hotel facilities: Lake Forest Resort
While checking at Hotel Lake forest resort in Munnar, the staff/ receptionist was unaware of my booking.
First, it took about half an hour to check us in even though we had a confirmed reservation. Why it took so long is beyond my comprehension.
Second, when we entered the room the beds were not properly done, there was no kettle in the room nor the sachets of coffee and tea, and the bathrooms were still dirty. The towels were missing from the room, even I complained about this many times to hotel staff and even my relationship manager for the trip but the issue remained unresolved. The towels were sent about 8:30 in the night. Similarly on the very next day the issue was the same as the housekeeping team forgetting to provide towels. I wonder what the housecleaning people at your hotel do exactly to prepare the room for the next guest. Do they have a checklist or do they just randomly go through stuff?
Further, when I asked the receptionist about the AC, He said (Mr Stilva) the AC is not working in any room so I cannot assist regarding this. Later, when I complained about this to MMT, the AC remote was provided at night around 9:00 PM. Later the AC suddenly stopped at night. I just don’t know why the MMT collaborated with such hotels if they cannot provide the services. I did not expect such service from 3 star hotels. While communicating with MMT customer service It was found the additional voucher was provided to the hotel later for AC, but if we didn’t use it as desired (since the AC was faulty) then why should the payment go to the hotel. It should be refunded.
· Hotel facilities: Hotel Grand Thekkady
· The hotel ambiance was good, the receptionist was humble to serve. The only issue that I faced during my stay at the hotel was the washroom water connection as it was under maintenance.
· Hotel facilities: AJ Park
When we entered the room in the evening, the beds were not properly done, there was no glass for water, no kettle in the room, and the bathroom was dirty. The tap was malfunctioning. The door mats were a dirty photo enclosed.
Activities
Karadiappa Viewpoint was closed.
On the first day of my stay at Munnar, I paid (around 700 per person) for an activity called ‘Evening Tea and snacks at Karadiappa Viewpoint. But it was found that the karadiappa viewpoint is closed from Covid 1st wave but MMT charges 1428 from me for that. Since the karadiappa view point was closed, the driver took us to Mountain mist view point where we had snacks and tea that roughly cost about 200 rupees for both me and my wife (bill enclosed). For this unprofessional work of management MMT is responsible and should compensate and revert money that is charged for the activities.
Kathakali show
I was charges 340/ person for shows in thekkady, but while reaching thekkady it was found that the show that was booked from agency is closed from 2020, later driver arrange ticket for kathakali show near to my hotel at thekkady for which we paid 400 rupees( bill enclosed). The money charged by MMT should be refunded to us.
I would like to hear your thoughts about my complaint and the steps that you are willing to take to prevent such incidents in the future.
I hope you agree with me that this type of service is completely unacceptable at so many levels. It is not the kind of treatment I would have expected from a 3 star hotel and prominent leader of a travel agency like MMT of your state and caliber. I am very disappointed from this bitter experience. Since it was a Honeymoon package, no honeymoon inclusion was there, I booked this trip considering the honeymoon inclusion, the customer service does not connect easily and thus neither solved my issues during the trip, it was a terrifying experience to book my trip from MMT. I will make sure in future to not book any trip from MMT.
Further, I should be compensated for all the unprofessional treatment that I faced during my trip and considering moral responsibility, make my trip-MMT should refund the money back to me.
