[Resolved] Make My Trip — Non-refund of canceled air ticket | |||
My booking ID is NN[protected] with passenger name Saradhambal (my aunt) who is unable to travel to Singapore since she has not yet received her new passport. I am trying to cancel my ticket and I called Singapore airlines directly and they told me that according to the fare rules of this ticket, the unused taxes (about Rs. 18, 100 or thereabouts) can INDEED be refunded. They asked me to cancel it through the travel agent (MakeMyTrip). However, When I called MakeMyTrip and spoke with an agent called Ritu, she told me that it was a FULLY NON-REFUNDABLE ticket and no refund will be given. She further said this is in line with the guidelines from the airline. Now, clearly there is an issue here and seems like they have no idea about the fare rules and they are reading out standard guidelines to me. I am constrained to escalate this matter at the highest level as required if not resolved ASAP. I asked Ritu to escalate this to her supervisor and she promised a call back from the supervisor within 6 hrs (6-Aug). Since then, nobody has called and I called their toll free again on 7th Aug and registered a complaint on their website (Ref ID[protected]. ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE AT ALL!!! I have also initiated the cancellation of the ticket on their website. This is as pathetic a customer service can get. I would like to file a complaint in the consumer court against Make My Trip.
