[Resolved] MakeMyTrip.com — Taking payment for a booking that has not been confirmed | |||
I had made a booking at The Deltin, Daman on the 29th of December through Make My Trip. However while Rs. 7940 was deducted from my account, I did not receive the booking confirmation. on calling customer service i was told, the money would be creditted back to my acc in the next 72 hours. Convinced, i went aheda and made another booking at the same place through Make my trip...i shouldn't have cause later i realized that they were only lying about the reimbursement! I later received a mail from Make my trip on the 6th of December saying that they were sorry about the deduction of money for no reason and that they have escalated the matter with their accounts department. They also requested me for 96 working hours. on receiving no feedback on the committed time, i got in touch with customer care and they then requested me for my bank statement. on sending them the bank statement they are now asking me for 72 more hours. Why wouldn't they ask me for the bank statement on day one. why the delay and request in piecemeal? I doubt if my money will be reimbursed cause they have just been buying time for the past 2 weeks! Please note that INR 7940.00 refund will be credited to the original from of payment ( ICICI Bank ) and the remaining of INR 1194.00 will be credited as points in your payback account .
