Dear Sir, With great distress I am writing to you about my experience regarding the flight I took from Sharjah to Kochi on April 4th 1:20 am (PNR:HSLNTH). When I booked the ticket, MakemyTrip officially mentioned that I could take a total of 7+30=37kgs with me. I have the e- ticket with me stating the same. However as I was checking in at the counter, Jet airways staff reported that I could only take 10+15=25kg and had to pay 80 dirhams per additional kilogram. I had to finally throw away my stuff at the airport waste box as I couldn't afford such a huge amount at that time. It is really unfair to write 37kgs on ticket and say 25kgs when boarding. I cannot explain the stress I went through at the airport. I felt being thrown in to a scam by both Makemytrip and Jet airways. When I contacted the makemytrip customer care, they apologized to me but said that they have no responsibility on this issue and it could be a technical error of their machines. They concluded with an attitude of, "better luck next time!" Reference ID of my complaint with MakemyTrip:[protected], PNR :HSLNTH Possible solution: I expect Makemytrip to refund me the additional baggage cost I would have to pay had I opted to pay the same which is 15kgs*1440=Rs. 21600+ an indemnity of Rs.75000/- for the false information and all the stress I had to go through. If makemytrip is not willing to compensate me, the only option for me is to file a case in the consumer courts for a hefy amount for cheating crimes. I hope makemytrip will consider my issue seriously. This should not happen to any other customers of Makemytrip in the future. Neither to me as well.
