One of the worst hospital ive ever came across in my life, especially when you dont have any educated docs like Doc Thomas he is an general physician as per his name plate, when I visited him for my friend for a normal cold and cough he wrote around 4-5 blood test + x-ray which cost around 1K which result everything normal, then he wrote some medicines of asthama and allergy just for cold and cough problem, due to which my friend started coughing for the whole night & day for conitnous 2-3 days and the prescripted meds wont contain a single antibiotic or related to cold and cough or fever, again we visted him after 2 days again the same treatment and the way he was checking my friend was disgusting you cannt expect such way of touching some1 being a physician and this I asked for some meds related to cold and cough or some fever, but again he asked to continue the same and if the situations goes worst cal me I will give another set of meds, things got worst nd worst and we called him 2 days later telling him about the situation and asking for another set of meds but his response was so rude he was not ready to listen a single word and asking to meet me again in the eve As i want to see your friend again, I dont knw what was his intension, jus to cut my pockets completely or checking my frnd again and again in a disguting way!!

Personal suggestion never visit to MANIPAL HOSPITAL & specially to doc THOMAS so called MD

Manipal hospital has worst management. Doctors are careless and insensitive . They made us wait for 2 days just to make one simple diagnostic procedure. Nurses are always unaware about Doctors whereabout and keep making people to wait for a days without even telling proper timeline. Sick of this Hospital. My advice to people. Avoid going to this hospital.

My daughter is admitted in Manipal hospital for vital fever. At 10 AM in the morning today Dr.Aradhna said the kid is fine and can be discharged now. The time is 2 PM now and there is no update from them yet. When asked about the delay I was told that doctor is busy and summery is yet to be prepared please go to 1st floor and inform her. My question is, who's responsibility is it to contact the doctor and who's responsibility is it to give the summery on time? At least there is no basic sense that the status of discharge should be updated to the parents instead of we going to the desk for follow-up everyone. Regards, Manohar

My Gold chain went missing from X-Ray room number 3 @ Manipal Hospital, old airport road Bangalore. I reported the incident to the customer relations department to which they did not even have the courtesy to revert. When asked about cctv footage, they have no answer.
maybe even the CCTV footage was stolen. No point in asking them as most of them have a lost look on their face.

We have consulted Dr. Mukesh Ramnane on 20 June, 2015. Just by listening the problem a bit, he referred to Haematology without looking to the patient. Now the question is: If he'll refer the patient to other dept. without checking, then the consultation fees should not be charged from patient in other dept. As a doctor he should also listen to the problems properly. In HOSMAT similar things happened to me, referred from Neurology to Orthopedic and they haven't charged me again. The behaviour of Dr. Mukesh is very much awful and unprofessional.

Dear sir/mam, My name is Guru Prasad. I am an IT employee working for Microsoft in Bangalore. I wanted to bring to your notice the most unprofessional experience we had with Doctor Girish Rai in Manipal hospital (Bangalore). I had visited Manipal hospital (Bangalore) on June 17th for my dad who had cough and sinus issue. We consulted Doctor Girish Rai. To be honest he is the most unprofessional doctor I ever consulted. This is what he told to his junior doctor who checked my dad’s lungs and told that his lungs was clear, “Are you supposed to reveal this information. Don’t you want to empty the patient’s pockets”!!! He told this in English and was not even making a note that it was funny comment. Not only this he then asked us to do CT Scan and scared me that my dad needed a surgery (Endoscopy) to be done ASAP. Next day the doctor's assistants called me twice to get my dad admitted for surgery. First question they asked was if dad was insured. Then they said the admission cost is 55, 000 and may go upto 1 lak 10, 000. CAn you imagine 1 lakh 10, 000 for cold and cough or sinus issue? Is not this cheating and day light robbery? I did not do the surgery and consulted another hospital. After having some cough syrup and medicines my dad is completely fine now. If this feedback is not conveyed to the right person I will make sure that none of my company employees will ever visit Manipal hospital. And I will also never ever visit this hospital in my life. This is the most worse treating hospital. PLEASE UNDERSTAND – WE ARE NOT JUST PATIENTS BUT ALSO HUMANS. YOU ARE NOT GODS BUT “JUST” DOCTORS. PLEASE TREAT US PROPERLY AT LEAST FOR THE MONEY WE SPEND ON YOUR HOSPITALS. I was running high fever since 2 days(103) and then decided to visit a doctor on Sunday(1-Mar-2015). I reached Manipal hospital(old Airport Road, Bangalore) and asked the person at the enquiry where i should go for fever and cold, and she directed me to the health check department. When i reached there, a lady told me to go to Registration counter and pay the bill. Dr Manjunath is available. When i went to Registration counter, they asked me if its my first time or not, and if not, then go to cash counter and make the payment. When i went there, i was asked to first raise an invoice in another counter, then only i will be able to make payment. I was just being thrashed like a football here and there when i was running a high fever. This is not the service i am expecting from Manipal. Once i made the payment, i was asked to wait for sometime since there was only one doctor and numerous patients. I made the payment at 10.45 AM and my turn came at 12.15 PM. I was made to wait for 1 and a half hours for a doctor. Is this the way you treat your patients? Can't you have more doctors on Sunday's? And i highly doubt the credibility of Dr. Manjunath, general physician. He is just an MBBS in a reputed hospital. They can't say that, just because its a Sunday, they will have only one doctor and that too only MBBS. If you don't have doctors, then please let the patients know the same, we will go to some other hospital. But I cannot get treated from just an MBBS doctor, i can find numerous MBBS doctors and that too i paid an amount of Rs500 for him when his diagnosis was utter rubbish. He asked us to do numerous tests(malaria, liver, typhoid, h1n1 etc) even though it was a simple fever. And because of the antibiotic which he prescribed before food, i had vomiting the entire night. Then the next day onwards, i stopped his tablets and i am feeling better now. I regret going to Manipal now and will never ever visit this godforsaken place and would never recommend any of my friends. Just for a small fever, i had to shelve out Rs3700 for no reasons and for a stupid doctor. Even for the reports, we have to follow it up with then n number of times, to send the soft copy to our email id. When i called, i got a response that please call after 2 PM and then when i called again, they asked me to call after 7.30. Why cant they just mail us the soft copies as and when its ready. I have been to Cloudnine as well, there the service is really good. You don't have to call them again and again for reports. This is the worst experience i have had with Manipal Old Airport Road, Bangalore.

                  Address: Bangalore, Karnataka

This is the most unethical hospital. It is a completely money-churning factory at the cost of the patient's health. Recently, it has started playing with the H1N1 cases. All the simple viral flu cases are referred for H1N1 tests, as each test costs 5K. Faked reports are being produced, in order to promote the brand name of the hospital for maximum turn around of positive & healed cases. I have been a victim of the same. Dr. Pankaj,...

Hospital # MH01547701 Patient name: Mrs Kunjumol Samuel (65Y)

My wife had an appointment with the Neurology, Dept, Manipal Hospitals, Old Airport Road, Bangalore on 13-02-15 @ 3.30 pm. We were at the hospital at 2.17 pm as per the receipt of the hospital. My wife was very sick and most of the time she was lying in the visitor's bench. We have noticed that the visitors and patients reporting late were called in and attended whereas we were refused the treatment. This is not the first time we are facing timing problems over the past two years.

We need our cash refund of Rs. 540 (five hundred forty)

We do not wish to attend the hospital anymore as we fear retaliatory measures.

Hi, My Father was under going an CKD treatment in Vijayawada branch and doctor is good and he explained me about the treatment and we are okay with the treatment and started taking the treatment but the other doctor supporting staff in this branch hospital is not at all good and they don't have proper knowledge and experience in the treatment. Mainly the Billing department and Insurance department staff (Ramamohan/Ramu and Mahesh) are very rash, rude and care less anyway they are in the billing so they should be money minded but you should give respect to the patients and the patient family members or relatives. Ex: Doctor wrote a medicine for Thyroid problem and hospital nurse only bought the medicine in hospital pharmacy and gave to patient and told that it's for Sugar disease and use it daily and patient started using it and after 2 days we came for doctor visit with all the medicines and prescription given by nurse is wrong. My father undergoing dialysis treatment under insurance claim twice a week, in the final billing they are charging 300 rupees for doctor, 500 rupess as a day care along with dialysis, dialyser kit charges as an extra even though there is no doctor visit and questioned him why are charging this and he said it's hospital policy. How could you charge a money for doctor in the dialysis time ? What about dialysis charges of Rs.1500 ? Why are they charging Day Care Rs.500 ? Every time he is to go for Initial Estimated claim of 16000 rupees and he did this for 3 times and 4th time he sent a claim request for 21500 without informing to the patient or patient family members and asked him why you sent a request like that with out informing to us then he (ramamohan/Ramu) answered that we can't answer for all your questions, we don't have time, this is the hospital policy and if you are interested and take the treatment other wise talk to doctor and when talk to doctor he says that don't know all these things. Today on 29-Jan-2015 my father has an appointment for dialysis in the morning 7 AM and we came to hospital at 6:45 AM for the treatment and they asked us to pay the cash for the treatment even though we have informed them about the appointment and the Insurance claim approved before one day and on the appointment day morning 6:45 AM staff people (Mahesh and Ramamohan) started playing games for an hour and not started the treatment.in the end paid the cash then only started the treatment I said them that will raise complaint on you guys and they answered like this "complaints are not new to us, no one will take action and nothing will happen" This is worst and fully money minded hospital. People who have Arogya Sree card will go to his hospital because they belongs to Rural areas and no idea on the treatment and what ever hospital say they will listen and will not ask any other details.

My complaint is regarding the waiting time for any ultra sound scan at manipal Hospital. Why do you all give appointments when that is not followed? You make pregnant women wait for 2 hours or even more? What kind of systems are you all following? There is definitely inefficiency in the planning and execution. We had an appointment at 1pm with Dr. Preeti which was postponed to 4pm due to an emergency apparently. It's 6pm here and I am still waiting for our turn. This is absolutely not acceptable. Please stop torturing the patients!

My mother was having Wound and skin allergy on her feet and we visited Dr. SV Sampath Kumar at Manipal hospital Halagevaderahalli, Rajarajeshwari nagar . He was old doctor so we thought he may be well experienced. But after meeting him we came to know that he is too old and he’s not even able to remember medicine names and told nurse to put Neosporin powder and plaster on it and gave some antibiotic tablets and told us to come after 4 days. When we went after 4 days the Condison of wound become worst (Coz Dr. Sampath kumar was not aware that it was gangrene and have applied Neosporin powder) So he told us to meet Dr. Arindra jeet (the doctor who chews pan parag 24 hours in hospital) and for a moment after seeing Arindra jeet I felt like I am in pan shop and not in hospital. Dew to the silly mistake of Dr. sampath kumar my mother’s feet was amputated. So I request all to consult at least 2 doctors for any chronic disease or else these doctors will spoil our whole life coz of their negligence and carelessness.

Hi, I would like to bring to the notice of Management of Malathi Manipal Jayangar Bangalore that DR. Krishna Radiologist does not know at all how to behve with his pateints. I was due for my scan at the hospital and i was called early morning one saturday as later doctor had some personal work. We made it early morning as per the Appointment. In the beginning of the scan my husband asked two very normal questions to the doctor which were his concerns and also which he wanted to clarify with the Doctor. Not sure what happened to Doctor but he immediately started screeming and abusing him and said that he will throw him out etc etc. I believe it was very normal from any would be parents views to put their queries to the doctor and doctors are meant to answer them. Even if Doctor felt that it was distracting him i believe he could have politely told that i will answer all the questions at the end or please check with your referred doctor later rather than just screeming and shouting which he did throughout the scan and looks like that did nit disturb him. He was so rude and harsh that my husband immediately left the room and i felt so bad that i cried throughtout the scan but still the doctor didnt even apologize. Infact he was speaking all crap thoughout the scan. I believe we have not done any crime and if people like him do not have normal gestures to talk to people than they should not be kept to serve the public.

Dr. Krishna works for money. He calls all the patient in his private clinic where the cost of scan is double of the normal scan. Also he talks rudely to the people . He is very much interested in finding out the problems in babies so as he can do study over that . He called me and my husband for two consecutive days and asked us to abort the baby too. Also, one day when we went for scan he was not interested in doing our scan and asked us to throw out when we asked for our chance to get it done.
I also agree, I went to his private clinic at Sri Hari Diagnostics, 3rd Block, Jayanagar for anomaly scan. His behavior was very bad.He was not responding to the queries at all and asked me to keep quite and let him do his work. After scan also he did not answered any queries. He is too rude to deal with.
I completely disagree with the above comments. I found him very genuine and down to earth person. His reports are very much accurate. He picks up the things which other radiologists miss. My full points to the gentleman.
I did not have a good experience with dr Krishna. He spoke politely. I'm a doctor myself and had normal queries. But his answers were very vague..also I specifically requested for a 4D scan as I wanted it as a memory . He charged me for 4D but did a routine 2D scan and showed me only 2 photos of the baby's face, which are not there in the CD. Overall I wouldn't recommend him.
                          Very good experience.
"Patients are beggars and beggars do not have a choice" - golden words from a foul mouthed man who self proclaims to be a doctor with superior intellect and expensive equipments. Mr Krishna, (you do not deserve to be called a doctor as a doctor symbolises kindness, especially so towards pregnant women), we are not beggars and even if we are, freedom of choice is a birth right of everyone including beggars. I choose not to visit you or your clinic anymore for the negative energy that you give can easily linger for weeks and thats something I would never want to pass on to my little one. Pray to Almighty that our paths never cross again, ever.
I had complication in my first daughter, and this time my doctor suggested me to go for early anomaly scan at 16th week, and suggested Dr. Krishna, he took 10-15 min to study my previous child file carefully and very kind and gave me the assurance that he will try his best to do detailed scanning and he took almost 1 hour.

I felt he acted as both good doctor and a good human. overall my experience was good.
Very knowledgeable and humble gentleman. I recommend this extremely intelligent Radiologist.
Very much experienced.Extreamly Humble. I recommend him.
i Plan to Visit him next week, Will post the right facts...

I'm seriously pissed of at this hospital. my grandmother is ill and she's been admitted in the hospital and she was kept in ICU for 2 days. The people who work over there are totally irresponsible. There was no Proper schedule followed to monitor the situation of the patient even when she's in ICU. I don't understand why they call it ICU and there was no proper contact maintained with the attendant when she was in ICU. Today since her condition seems to be stable she was shifted from ICU to room without intimating us and later when we were looking out for her in ICU they told us she was shifted to ward room. As soon as we entered the room we just saw grand mom was lying on the bed without any attendant. Doors closed and no person inside the room ! They charge a lot of money and we are ready to pay but this isn't the way to treat a patient !

It was 23rd Mar’14 @11.30p.m. and I was in urgent need of MEFTAL-P as my son was suffering from high fever and the doc had asked me to immediately administer this medicine to him. Manipal hosp. being in our vicinity I immediately reached there only to be surprised, I was stopped by your security guards at the emergency entrance, they informed me that some auditing was in progress and the security chief had informed them not to allow anybody. I was agitated as I wanted this medicine immediately and informed the security to call the security chief immediately. They did not call the security chief but immediately allowed me inside, on reaching the pharmacy I found no sign of any audit. I informed the pharmacist that I wanted Meftal-P he immediately agreed but suddenly checked the system and informed me that it was out of stock and also informed me to buy it from CMH hospital which I later did. How on earth a renowned hospital WHICH ALSO CATERS TO INTERNATIONAL PATIENTS be out of stock of a generic OTC medicine which was so essential for paediatrics when they also had a pediatric specialty section. I think the pharmacist did not give the medicine only at the behest of the security guard who could have gestured not to give the medicine to me by gesturing from behind. I am penning this because it was an act of being inhumane to someone whom they did not even know and this could have led to a patient’s death incase someone was in need of a life saving drug not that Meftal –P is also equally so. I want these perpetrators to be booked and hope you will do the necessary as only then you can repose confidence which you have already been losing among the customers whose family members are being treated in your hospital. LIFE IS NOT ON AT MANIPAL……..I tried to update this in their portal but they do not even have a section for complaints and their feedback section does not take too many words...

I had ear surgery in command hospital which was unsuccessfull. Later I went to Manipal hospital and consulted Dr. Girish Rai. He asked me to undergo the same operation one more time and I will be fine after operation as has done many operation of same kind. He told me that it will cost me around Rs.35,000. I underwent the opration and after operation I received a bill of Rs. 89,000. It was a 5 page bill and they told me they have used these stuff during my operation. I thought no problem atleast my ear will be fine and I paid. After 1 week post surgey, I went to hospital again to know the status of my ear they told me that this operation has failed. Dr. Girish Rai asked me with shameless face...Can you come for operation again ????? That day I realised that these doctors are using my body for experiments. Hence, I advice you all...never consult Dr. Girish Rai. He would have done many operation but he is unskilled. He knows to speak well but not skilled to do surgey well.
After the failure in 2 operation...i am completely hopeless!! Its better to bear pain insted of being used as experiment kit.

                                Hi Poonam,

I completely agree with you. Dr. Girish Rai is completely inhuman, sheer greedy, careless and very bad at his profession.
We met him regarding sinusitis for my wife. He relies on his so called junior doctors/assistants than listening himself
to what you have to say. So first of all they scare you and then at the and devil dr girigh rai himself comes to the job...
he kept on pushing for surgery for sinusitis (septoplasty and FESS). My wife had septal delfection towards right side.

He said, post septoplasty (bone crafting/bone correction) it should be all fine. We got the surgery done...
but within 1 month of the surgery the problem resurfaced. When we got the tests done ...we realized that
the septoplasty was either not done or not done properly. This was complete breach of trust. When we contact
him...he didn't have conclusive answer. He infact asked us to get the surgery done again.

                                Shame on you Girigh Rai.

                                Regards,
                                Rajesh
I was having dust allergy, so went to consult doctor girish rai in manipal hospital, he asked me to get MRI and xray to my nose and lungs, after getting reports he said there is septal deviation in my nose so immediate surgery is needed, and if not done immediately he said it may be converted to sinusitis and also after the sugery the allergic reaction will be cured he assured, worried me accepted to undergo the surgery, even after surgery my condition is not improved I went to him again, he is simply saying surgery will not cure allergic reaction but will just enable free breathing and asked me to take avamys spray, Avamys is a basic treatment which should be given in first, but instead of this corporate hospital targets he made me to undergo surgery which is a total waste, he is a cheater doctor, please dont go to him.
Money minded doctor who doesn't do the diagnosis correctly, also ask his juniors to do all the work

better to be away from him, when I had issue with my son(6yrs) Ear's . I visited him

He told there was issue for my son's ear if no operation for removing fluid from ear is done he will face issue of hearing at age of 35 to 40 and we agreed for operation and he operated and charged 30K

again infection started after 18 mths he again told he needs one more operation

Then I took opinion from 2 more Doctors( ENT specalists) they told that the issue is due to infection in Nose(adenoid)

it is just like toncils in mouth, which will affect the ears and fluid will come through the ear

Both doctors opinion was same to remove the adenoids also both doctors before Xray and other investigation they told the issue is mostly with nose

I think Dr Rai was more interested in making money for him and Manipal(money pal)

Because a pass out from AIIMS can't do the mistake like this and he never told the issue is with adenoid

                                Thanks
I have gone to check up my ear at Manipal Hospital which had undergone mastoidectomy. It is routine check up. The operation was done by an expert ENT surgeon 20 years ago who had briefed and guided about precautions and follow up action. During visit to Girish Rai, I surprised to see interns/trainees are checking my ear and learning subject in ENT area. I am confused to know whether there MBBS or DLO trainees. Girish Rai spent a minute to check my ear and concluded that I had to undergo resurgery as there was little infection was there. He had asked to undergo for CT scan and to come for surgery. This is generally cured by Ear drops. The same has been cleaned and cured by other ENT expert in CMH for about Rs.250. I understood two things from him. He would have passed from AIIMS. He should have studied subjects and now he would have either forgotten or He is exploiting from patients for surgery which is not advisable. Be careful about him. He does not understand about other side about status of patient. I am more qualified than medical doc. I am expert and reputation in my own domain. He fails to understand others and trying to exploit from innocent patients. Pl. be careful. There are very good ENT doctors available in Bangalore.
I had gone for septoplasty around 2 months ago and it seems he has done practically nothing. I still have breathing problems at night and snoring and now am appalled to know this doc has soo many complaints and bad reviews against him. I am thinking of suing him for breach of trust and not doing his job correctly and honestly. But first I will pay him a visit and see what he has to say. Feeling so cheated.

They are cheaters. I got a kidney stone stuck in my bladder. There they did scanning & inspite of me asking for my reports number of times they did not show.
I was misleaded. They told me its 7mm & have no option other than endoscopy. they asked me to sign something. I was partially unconscious that time & also at midnight 1am i had no choice.so i did it. after endoscopy also i asked for my reports to just see once.they denied. I asked them if i had any stones in my kidneys left.they told me none. later when i got discharged i saw my discharge summary which read 5.7mm stone stuck & not 7mm. Also one more stone in my right kidney..they ditched. I asked them that i wanted to speak to the concerned doctor. they denied. now im still suffering from the pain after endoscopy, which i was not told about the severity. even after 1 week since im suffering & no idea wat hell they have done with me.
