Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally raise a serious concern regarding the treatment provided to my father during his hospitalization at your Medanta hospital in Lucknow for a SCROTAL INFECTION.
As per our understanding, this condition required evaluation and treatment under a Urologist. However, my father was admitted and treated under the supervision of a Plastic Surgeon (Dr. Nikhil Puri / Dr. Ashish Ukey). We have strong reasons to believe that this decision may not have been clinically appropriate and may have been influenced by factors other than the patient’s best medical interest.
The treatment administered appeared to provide only temporary relief, primarily through antibiotics to suppress symptoms rather than address the root cause. Unfortunately, this has now resulted in a significantly aggravated condition, causing severe discomfort and trauma to the patient.
Additionally, upon reaching out for further consultation, we were advised to revisit the hospital. Given my father’s current medical condition, he is not in a position to travel even short distances, making this recommendation impractical and insensitive to his situation.
In light of the above, I formally request the following:
A complete internal investigation into this case, including the rationale for assigning a Plastic Surgeon instead of a Urologist.
A detailed medical summary from Day 1 of admission until discharge, clearly outlining:
Diagnosis and clinical findings
Treatment plan and procedures performed
Medications administered
Progress notes and observations
Copies of all medical reports, test results, imaging, and discharge summaries.
Clarification on the line of treatment adopted and justification for the same.
This matter is of serious concern, and I expect a prompt and transparent response. Please treat this communication as urgent. In the absence of a satisfactory response, I will be compelled to explore appropriate legal filings/remedies.
