Micromax — Phone not repaired within warranty

Hi Micromax, I have a handset A177 which is under warranty. On 23rd June, my phone touch recognition suddenly stopped working and it is not letting me to punch my screen password. When I went to the nearest service center at Kalkaji, Perfect solutions, Those guys simply denied it to repair saying the it is a physical/water damage that is not covered under warranty. They told me a cost of 2200 Rs for repairing the same. I know that there is no such damage to the phone as the phone is working fine except the touch screen. Please understand that it is greatly spoiling the image of such a big mobile company. The things under warranty must be repaired free of cost. I am greatly disappointed with such a response and will be forced to move to consumer court if I am not getting a resolution.
