MIOT Hospitals — Loss of personal belongings of may husband Mr.S.Sreedhar(deceased) M.R.No.655231

Dear Sir/Madam,

I, Jeyanthi Sreedhar, would like to complain about non-receipt of two baggages including laptop which my husband Mr. S. Sreedhar (late) possessed during his admission in Room No. 756 in 7th floor.

I herein below give the particulars and would like to once again reiterate that inspite of continuous followup on all days, nothing is happening at your end to locate the items which were in the hospital:

My husband Mr. S. Sreedhar was admitted in your hospital on 12.5.2021, as he was Covid positive, MR. No. 655231 and was given Room. No. M 17 / 756. Smt. Sharmila and Smt. Indhumathi were the PROs who were in touch with me. Later he was shifted to 8th floor on 19.5.2021 and Smt. Vidhya was the PRO who contacted me. From there he was shifted to MICU and Smt. Janaki was the PRO there. Finally my husband passed away on 27.5.2021 morning at 7.10am in your hospital.

As my husband was covid positive, none were allowed to be with him due to hospital protocols and PROs were only handling him. I was terribly shocked when one PRO called me from Smt. Sharmila's mobile on 29.5.2021 morning and asked me about the details & dates on which my husband was moved from ward to ward which is really shameful on the part of the hospital who deals with patients.

On 27.5.2021, we were constantly contacting Smt. Sharmila PRO & Smt. Janaki PRO and no one could locate the two baggages i.e.one a big travel bag with his dresses which is light blue and pink in colour and another a medium size vanity bag with his personal laptop which he was using while in hospital.

It is very much disheartening that the hospital staff who were moving my husband from ward to ward never minded to transfer the patient's belongings which they are bound to do. We were made to run from pillar to post on the date of death of my husband to locate the bags and none of your staff helped us and did nothing to help the people in despair.

My husband's purse with cards & his two finger rings were only handed over to us.

As already 4 days have elapsed since the death of my husband and there is no communication from your side regarding the availability of bags alongwith laptop, I would like to inform you that no further delay from your side will be tolerated by me and I seek an immediate within 24hrs redressal of my complaint, failing which I will be forced to take further course of action.

Awaiting your immediate reply.
