WHAT A SURPRISING BEHAVIOUR OF MONGINIS STORES OF SHEORAPHULI. WHAT A NICE EXPERIENCE!!!

Today (28.01.2013, at about 7.40 pm, at the time of returning home from my office), I went to purchase a cake from your stores at SHEPRAPHULI for celebrating the Birthday Party of my child. I choose a 'horse feet' (like u shape) cake, value of that rupees 200/-. & told them to pack. they told me that 'value of plastic bag rs 4/- will be added with your bill.' i told them 'OK, no problem' & give them two 100 rupee notes and one 10 rupee note altogether rupees 210/- (two hundred ten). then they told me to give 4 rupees change. i told them that seriously i have no change. then they told me 'then we have nothing to do.' and get back the cake from service counter rather from my hand.

Today the Birthday Party of my child is celebrating with the Local made cake.

I'm Munawar Shah from Dona Paula, Goa. Your experiences reveal that it's a very common issue at almost all the Monginis outlets. I also want to share may experience. But, as it's not that easy to repeat the story again and again, I'm just copying and pasting a mail that I sent to monginis customer care yesterday ([protected]@monginis.net)
Here's the mail:

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am Munawar Shah from Doana Paula, Goa. I'm an employee at Manipal
Hospital, Panaji, Goa. I'm sending this mail to bring something to
your attention. I am (better to say I WAS) a regular customer at your
Monginis outlet in front of our hospital (Donapaula). I don't know if
you are aware of this. As per the rules by Govt. of India, any
retailer should not sell an object at a price more than the MRP
(Maximum Retail Price) printed on it. But the shopkeepers right there
are illegally selling the goods at a price than the printed MRP. For
example, drinks like Amul Cool, Frooti and many other things. If I
complain at the consumers' court, it may not affect the shopkeepers
but will have an impact on your reputation definitely. That's not the
problem for me. But there's something else that petrified me in front
of many customers.
Two shopkeeping women who are working there are treating the
customers in a terrible way. Whenever we go there, they say that they
don't have any change with them, so they used to give us candies and
toffies instead of change for 1-5 rupees. That's not a problem. Ok.
But day before yesterday when they repeated the same thing, I told
them that I'll get that five rupees on the next day and they agreed
that. But when I went there again to purchase something, I reminded
them of the previous 5rupees balance that I had to get. Suddenly she
started to shout at me as if I tried to cheat them. And they said that
it's me who should give the money. 5 rupees is nothing to me, but I
didn't want to let them do that again just because they will keep
repeating that again and again in the future. It had happened last
month also, but that time I didn't make that an issue.
I'm not going to file a petition if you are willing to dismiss those
two shopkeepers in response to this mail. Otherwise I'll have to think
about the legal formalities for the mental and verbal abuses I
experienced from them. But I hope that you'll take an appropriate
action (by dismissing those employees) to protect our rights.

I went to monginis Shyamnagar 743127 order a cake. But they told me they will not accept order for 500gms cake. The lady over there told me that I can come any day and take the cake which are there in the shop.
Next day when I went to purchase a cake they told me we have to order a cake and was not willing to give me a cake.
The behaviour of Shyamnagar, 743127 is very rude. The lady is very ill mannered and does not know how to behave with customers. Due to some unavoidable circumstances I had to purchase the cake other wise I would have done my practice.
Pls Monginis kolkata, have a look into this Shyamnagar Branch, 743127 of yours. Make them understand how to behave properly or else the reputation of Monginis brand will be at stake.

The worst service i have ever had

I always love to have monginis cakes and pastries. I have ordered PineApple Cream cake simply outstanding and delicious to have it and that too in time. Monginis have been showing improvement in day-to-day service. Don't know why others are showing issue against there service.

Monginis — Cake not delivered

The cake not delivered in Mumbai address after making full payment in advance. Order number 82449
The customer care number[protected]/ 40786702/ 40786789 remains unattended.
Monginis cheating customers by taking money and not delivering the gifts worth Rs.1700

I was planning to place online order.. too bad.

Cake delivered to me on my location was quick and had no issue at all. Thanks Monginis for making my day super special.

I have been ordering the cake on regular basis or on festival from Monginis. They is no word to say there are number one brand. I also like the pastries and muffins they offer. It is too tasty can't stop it ourself having regularly.

I have contacted the customer service guy Mr. Nitin he was very kind and help me to get the deliver of cake on time. I would definetly look for this kind of quick service by them in future.

Thanks to Mr Taranath he was very helpful to get my order delivered on time. I have waiting for the cake in the evening to celebrate my wedding anniversary but since the cake was not available in the shop he had made arrangement from other cake shop. That's so kind I am really happy.

One of my favorite cake shop. I really like to order cakes online through monginis as they are quick and fast and very much convenient for us. I have always received good quality products from them and would like to receive more in future too.

Very bad experience with monginis online ordering. Instead of ordering a week ago, the cake and bouquet were delivered very late. Almost at 7:30pm. The surprise was ruined. And we ordered a heart shaped blackforest cake instead we received round chocolate cake. Order no.: WEB-229528.

I have to agree to the above. I too have faced an issue with monginis. I had made an online order for a cake form hyderabad to be delivered to a friend in Bangalore on the 2nd of December 2010. Before placing the order, I called up their mumbai head office to confirm if the delivery would be made on my desired date and time between 2PM and 3PM. The concerned person - Sona Acharya, assured that the delivery would be made as per request and asked me to go ahead and place an online order. After placing the order, I also received an email from Sona Acharya of Monginis, that the order would be delivered on the day requested (2nd December) and at the time requested(between 2PM and 3PM). On the day of delivery, when I did not receive my friends call (thanking me for the cake) I got a little suspicious and called up the mumbai office to confirm delivery. To my shock, Sona Acharya said that the delivery was meant for the next day. I angrily reminded her that she had sent me an email confirming that the delivery would be made on my desired date. She said she would inquire at the bangalore office and get back to me. I waited anxiously but received no call from her. I then frantically called her back but she wouldn't lift my call. I then called up another number at the mumbai office and explained the situation. The person there said she would inquire and call me back. After 15 mins, she did call back and said that the delivery boy was on his way and that he would make the delivery in the next 15 mins. After about an hr. when the delivery was still not made, I called up their office again...I even asked for a refund if the delivery was not made...but to no avail. Sona Acharya never got in touch with me again, nor was I able to speak to her when I called up their office. Everytime another member would take the call and I had to explain the situation all over again.----There are a dozen companies out there that offer online cake delivery service but I chose Monginis thinking that their brand name would ensure safe delivery. But that was not the case.---It clearly shows that Indian companies are still not worthy enough for a customer's trust. They just cant deliver. I lost 800 rupees on a cake that was never delivered and several more rupees on all the STD calls I made.
